- Fitting a new barrel bushing on a 1911 can seem like a daunting task the first time you do it. But it's NOT! I show you the simple tools that I use along with a major suggestion to make the job really easy.

Magic Marker is a great marking tool to see where the parts are hitting together, and needing to file to remove material.
That is exactly how it's done. Also, you want to make sure that there is enough room for the barrel to tip up on the muzzle end when you cycle the slide. You may have to work the inside top of the bushing for barrel clearance if the barrel can't tip up at the muzzle enough to unlock. I stopped using Wilson parts long ago, they are NOT what they used to be. EGW is my only part source now. They make good stuff. Another great video!
I like it when the blind squirrel finds a nut!🤣 I’m looking forward to seeing if EGW gave it the clearance for the tilt or not. Will definitely find out soon!
@@nobodytraining There's a specific order option from EGW for the 1% angled bore.
@ohhgourami yep! The $5 is well worth it
