- Whats up guys! Today I get the keys from Ray from True Automotive. He drives a performance oriented E46 330i with ZHP swap with a rare ESS TS1 Twin Screw blower making 345whp! This car is very comparable to an E46 M3!

346whp is much faster than the M3 333bhp. LOVE e46 M3 but I had a sedan 330ZHP. A sedan e46 M3 would be perfect. A guy on the forums way back around 2004 built a e46 M3 sedan as if BMW would have made it. Interlagos Blue and using an e46 M3 parts car so the flares were factory as well as the rest of the bumpers and skirts. It looked immaculate!
There's a local here that did that too. Took an imola ZHP and S54 swapped and turbo's it with fenders etc. It's super clean

Got mine from Japan, it had 60000km absolutly mint no rust, If you live in canada, it's a hell of an option!

Debating to invest in one of yhose super chargers for my e46 but mine is the 325 eith the m54b25. Not sure if the power will be worth it.
I woud have loved to see the supercharger he uses.0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times,after the upgrade/s.
The exhaust make a crazy noise though.Should have dampened it a bit in my view.It takes away from the car's BMW'ness! Works on VW Golf Gti's and such...'😢..Namibua y'all🇳🇦

When you install supercharger on the 330ci zhp do you have to rebuild the engine or is the engine stock and you installed supercharger

Fantastic video, and had the info I was looking for. The exhaust on that one is far too loud for my taste, and takes away from trying to be a sleeper. A quiet exhaust would surprise a lot more people than something that sounds like its got work done to it. Either way, I'm sold with the twin screw SC, that'll be my next mod on my 2004 330i ZHP 6mt.

E46 330is are soo good. They even have the same top speed of the m3 (155mph) and yes I know it’s limited but still. Chuck a turbo/supercharger and some other supporting mods on it and boom your way faster than an m3. Great video man!

Yeah they are great, but imo you can't really compare a supercharged I6 with a high revving NA I6. I love my 330Ci to death (most of the time at least) but if I had the chance, I'd trade it for an M3 every day of the week.
So clean and understated, I had a 03 333i sports package with the manual and someone ran a stop sign at 35mph tboned me the car is totaled, I miss that car😭 I have a exhaust clip posted

I will be fitting eaton m62 on m54b30 E30... I have got custom crankshaft pulley to make correct engine/sc ratio.
It is not that hard to make all that fit, but I am afraid of what comes next, in regards of remapping. Should be only 7psi tho...

I just bought my E46 330i m sport ☺️ (UK for zhp). It really is a baby m3 like you said. Mine isn't the 6spd but it's only got 69k miles and is pretty mint. Also much cheaper than the M3 like you said. The manual is quite rare over here but I'm a convert to the auto box, it's very good and the steptronic mode works really well for 'manual' clurchless driving.

With the amount of mileage it’s got now just keep it stock and don’t duck it up. If it’s a coupe it’ll b worth a lot more. Trust me on that one.

The ZHP is nice and all, but it's not worth the price they're going for now. You might as well get the E46 M3. The 330 is fine itself. Aside from the modded 330, the only "budget M3" you can get nowadays is a 135. And in my case, it's a "budget F82" 😂
The E46 is built a lot better than the 1 and 3 series that followed it. The M54 engine is also much more robust.

your engagment of the clutch may be better with a ss slave cylinder hose and the cdv delete. mine sucked before stock and now it is great. idk if you have tried that but wanted to mention it.

I know it was a long time ago, but is he running a stock diff? Everyone on the forums is always talking about the non-m diffs being uber weak.. but it seems like a lot of people run plenty of power through them without issue..
Depends on ratio. High # ratio has a very small gear inside. So a 293 or a 315 is strong. A 346/ 372 / 410 is weak by comparison. Biggest issue is no limited slip option unless its a m3.

All the difference between the zhp and the non zhp is the intake cam.
