    What to bring from Switzerland
This travel video is part of a series of Switzerland videos in 4K Ultra HD (which also are my Switzerland travel diary) will hopefully provide some answers to these and more questions you may have: What to buy in Switzerland and what not to buy? What are the best souvenirs in Switzerland? Which chocolate to buy in Switzerland? Which Swiss souvenirs make good presents? What to bring from Switzerland?
This video is about souvenir shopping in Switzerland. It’s difficult to ignore the many Swiss souvenir shops and displays here in Switzerland. So if you are interested in what to buy in Switzerland and what to bring back from your vacation in Switzerland, check out this video. I recommend of course Swiss chocolate, Swiss knives, the iconic Victorinox red Swiss knife for example, Swiss watches, Swiss Fondue, Swiss Rosti, Swiss Raclette, hot chocolate, cowbells, fridge magnets and many other items that are typical Swiss. Of course this selection is by no means complete and only presents a very subjective view of what I came across during my travel in Switzerland and what I found interesting to capture on video. I am roughly organizing the Switzerland souvenir shopping tips from least expensive to most expensive. So please stick around to the end of the video to get the full overview.
Please also check out my other travel videos on my travel to Switzerland, including my trip to Grindelwald and the surrounding mountains and valleys of Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe Switzerland, Lucerne, Interlaken, Zermatt and so much more. So please subscribe to my channel and hit the notification bell for updates on my weekly new videos on Switzerland and other amazing travel destinations.

Hi everyone, this week I have a bit of a different video for you. Many of you have asked what to buy in Switzerland and what are some typical souvenirs to bring. So here’s a very subjective selection of items I’ve come across while traveling in Switzerland 🇨🇭. Have a great week!

Nice episode, Janus👍🏻😊 You’ve organised its content really well. Lindt! My favourite chocolate though I must be frugal about it here. And love those cute figurines too🐮☺️. A friend ever bought for me a Victorinox nail clipper which I found super cool coz it can be folded flat. Thank you so much for all your hardwork putting together videos of Switzerland. We truly appreciate them😊☺️🌻

As souvenirs from Switzerland, I would buy a cool Freitag bag (Swiss company, Swiss innovation), a typical Swiss railway clock (the one with the red hand - in any size you prefer), a pair of On shoes (Swiss engineered and produced), a gorgeous Mammut outdoor softshell (Swiss company and Swiss made), a Barryvox avalanche search and rescue device and a pair of Stöckli skis.

Nice informative video. A couple of notes:
Ovaltine is in the export version with added sugar, in Switzerland without sugar.
The fact that the "soldier's knife" is red is only partially true; for a long time it was also "silver" (aluminum with a red / white Swiss cross). Not only to be recommended as a souvenir but as a daily practical tool.
I can only agree with the less recommendable souvenirs (like the cuckoo clock), that doesn't have too much to do with Switzerland.
Another tip for a practical product might be the SIGG bottle.

I was born in Bern in 1966 but lived in Büren until we moved to the states 8 years later, and I believe I have Nutella running through my veins. My favorite Swiss chocolate is Hazelnut Ragusa, they are so smooth and creamy. Since we had moved to the states I have not seen any of my Swiss relatives in 40+ years, but 7-8 years ago my uncle and his family contacted us because they were coming to the USA for a month long family trip, with a stop to Washington state where I currently live. When they came to our house they had a gift for us which was full of Swiss chocolate including my favorite Ragusa. I told my family you can have all of the other chocolate but thanks off my Ragusa. I’ve since ordered them off of Amazon.
When I got married I bought all of my groomsman Swiss Army knifes for their gifts

When you buy souvenires from Switzerland, you have to be careful, some souvenirs has a tag design made in Switzerland not made in Switzerland. Design made in Switzerland comes mostly from ,China, Vietnam or another countries. The Shoe company On produce in Vietnam, its only one exemple I saw also travel bags from Wenger, on the Bag i saw tag with Design made in Switzerland, and much smaller i can read made in China. But by Swiss Army, Knife, Chocolate, Watches and some Handcraft stuff you are sure its made in Switzerland.
