I have a 1986 crx si and my sun roof is has bad as this one can you put up the links for the bump stops and replacement panels please and thank you for the video
Hey Keith, I don't know about the 1986 models. Those are 1st Gen. This info would be specific to the 2nd Gen 88-91 CRX's. I put links to the parts in the video description. I also see some OEM 1st gen sunroof panels come up for sale here... but they are quite expensive. 25honda.com/new-products-2
I'd imagine the holes in the bump stops are too small because they didn't account for wall widths when printing. I have a 91 dx with no sunroof and am partially glad, because having the si means having to deal with that.
My sunroof open all the way back but once I go to close it it stays tilted up on the passenger rear side !! If true pressing it down but no luck !! I’ve tried manually retracting it while while I press down on it but no luck . Any suggestions?
I haven't noticed any warping or anything, seems to be holding up fine. I should have done more body work to smooth out the fiberglass panel before I painted it. I thought I could use it pretty much raw, but it definitely requires a little bit of smoothing out because the fiberglass mold was not perfect.
I'm all for replacing parts with OEM ones, but for some reason I don't feel bad about switching to a fiberglass sunroof panel. 1. It will never rust again and 2. it's gonna be much lighter for the sunroof motor to move around.
Hey man! Thanks for the video, my Crx had the same issue of not closing. Seems like an easy fix, I appreciate the enlightenment!
No problem 👍 Glad it was helpful
Thank you from France !!!
Thanks for watching!
That was satisfying watching it open!
Nice.

Agreed. It is a pain to deal with.
Do you have a guide on how to remove the head liner?
No I don't I'm sorry
@@MakeItSo no worries, thanks for the reply. Great video btw 👍🏽

I would take it off, check the bumpstops aren't cracked. Then lubricate the tracks, put it back on and try again.
@@MakeItSo remove just the sunroof ? I just finished removing the headliner to inspect the drain tubes and put it back together 🤦
@@g35tho11 you don't need to remove the headliner to take the sunroof panel off did you watch the video?
Hello, how is the fiberglass sunroof holding up after 3 years now any warping while in sun or anything?

Did u ever figure out if the seal (gasket) was causing it not to fully close at the very end?
After more cycles and use it seemed to seat itself better. The shuddering/binding also improved after more cycles, probably from the lubrication.
Great video. where did you the fiberglass sunroof panel? thx regards

I have a New old stock sunroof panel.
You mean you have a bar of gold? If you're selling it I'm curious what the price for a new one is.
