    Hey Pete, I hope you're planning on doing another coaching series in the future. I think in combination to the theoretical learning put forth in the poker school it is such an extremely valuable resource paticularly for your students to be able to see how to put the theory into practice and also how to identify and correct leaks in their own game.
    On a unrelated side note, if you're looking for another student I'll put my hand up 😂

    What do you do against random fish min raise clicking buttons?
    It is extremely confusing and I have no idea how to hand read ( I am not very good in general, working on it), or even make sense of what they are doing.
    It is like the most random assortment of hands, I don't know how to make sense of it at all.

    I look at the high rake on gg as a trade off for the insanely soft pools. Alot of regs stay away from it and the ammount of fish is crazy and pretty much all the "regs" are nits who are also massively exploitable. Who cares about getting raked a bit more when you can win double digit bb/100 in rush and cash

    hello, i'm pretty new to poker and i'm wondering something about ranges. if i bet in EP or MP and someone calls me, should i be thinking about their range as if they were to be the first to bet or is their range smaller because i bet first and they are calling me. thank you.

      First something of not a great importance but preflop blinds are considered bet so only preflop we start with raise.Onto ur question remember this the caller always have worst range since he already had an opportunity to raise but he missed it which makes his range weaker cuz he doesnt have the strongest hands which raise

    Is 300k hands a large enough sample? I noticed you said you want to win over a large sample, and I wish you the best for that.
    I am winning 100 RnC 6.5bb/100 300k hands and I have a 75k sample 200RnC where I am winning 7bb/100. In 100RnC I am running below EV, in 200RnC slightly above.
    I think I am doing well but it could be a small sample. Anyway, you play very well this video. Hope to see you in the pool. I do not see you during my times but I hope to.

    I get that the games are better, but then why don't you promote live play? Even easier! Even more rake! Even slower! The same silly promotions! No rakeback!

    It makes me laugh when you say (with chest) that certain plays ‘aren’t meant to happen’ dude you’re playing cards any type play is acceptable ppl play how they like it’s their money? I get the whole ‘expected ev’ stuff but cmon it’s a card game at the end of the day heavily swayed by luck 😂

    • @CarrotCornerPoker
      @CarrotCornerPoker  Год назад +1

      The fact that luck partially governs outcomes in the short term has nothing to do with whether or not there are objectively better and worse plays. People can absolutely play how they want but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t good and bad ways to play in terms of long term expectation and this is the thing any serious poker player is trying to maximise and the point of poker education.

    Why tell people what they are missing? I get that this is a poker strategy channel and strategy is interesting and I used to engage in this myself. But the problem with discussing it is you're making it harder to win.
    Between solvers, training sites, huds, we have a poker field that is harder to beat. Don't contribute to it.

    • @SGProductions87
      @SGProductions87 Год назад

      @@mattl2k6 yeah and that's not good for poker and he shouldn't do it. i've been a poker player for 20 years. i remember what it used to be like. i want to play on a table with 8 other idiots wildly punting stacks and playing shit starting hands, not nitty dudes in sunglasses trying to grind out a paltry hourly who put never money in bad. it's not only bad for good players bottom line, it makes for a shit atmosphere and dead games. these dudes don't talk to each at the table other unless they're nerding out talking about what the solver says and what they would've done in "that situation".
      at the end of the day these poker coaches sell strategies because of ego and short term gain and don't give a fuck about the long term effects of what they're doing or what will happen to the culture if they and people like them carry on, and most people just lap it up and don't think anything of it.
      if you're gonna sell courses and poker strategy, i really hope you do your best to tell people about the latest in GOT strategy: "I GOT a poker hand, and I wanna play it."

    • @mattl2k6
      @mattl2k6 Год назад +7

      @SGProductions87 So basically the level of the game has risen and you can't keep up anymore.
      Boohoo buddy, you should raise your game instead of crying to others that the gamrs should be softer.

    • @SGProductions87
      @SGProductions87 Год назад

      @@mattl2k6 my personal skill has no bearing on my opinion. My opinion has formed based on my experience of how games have generally deteriorated in quality, both live and online. I'm not trying to hate on anyone here, it's not personal. I'm saying we have a cultural problem in the game akin to tapping the tank and it's up to you whether you want to be part of that or do the right thing and keep quiet about strategy.
      You can say herp derp not keeping up but the fact is before online training sites, HUDs and solvers we had better games and the best strategy shared before then was largely empirical far less harmful stuff shared in books which made things vague enough for a lot of error.
      And by the way my opinion can be held independently of how up to date i am on strategy and the use of tech to keep my game at peak. You don't know what my level is and you're only speculating negatively because you seem to be in denial about what has happened historically and culturally.

    Promoting online poker right now is pretty tone deaf. The best way to maximize your earnings online is to use an RTA bot as online operators have demonstrated unwillingness to combat it. If you arent using RTA, then you are hurting your online game.

      Why?

    • @genesises
      @genesises Год назад +5

      how is it "the best"? these bots dont and cant maximize earnings, they maximize quantity with a high enough winrate to make it profitable in a 3rd world country where risk is low. also people actually enjoy playing poker and can without too much trouble be winning players. dont use bot farms as an excuse for your lack of will to improve. as for the sites, i'm quite sure they do what they can - but it's very tricky to stay ahead of, and punishing the entire pool with countermeasures is not a good approach. i guess what we did learn is that you are admitting to RTA and botting?
