"records are meant to be broken"! That's true but, how much does it mean when you use balls that will make it easier to get to the pocket and carry strikes? The real records are by bowlers of a past age that used their skills and knowledge to win.

Stryker she has held her own when the weaker urethane equipment was used and short oil mandates were in place.

Lisa is one of those skilled bowlers from a past era you are harping about. She was the bowler of the decade in the 80's and I'm pretty sure she won using plastic, urethane, and reactive resin on wood, polyurethane, and synthetic lanes. I'd say it's extra impressive that she was able to win across different eras using different equipment.
