It seems like most of the PWBA's tournaments are bowled on these "Future of the Sport" oil patterns. From the diagram they show, as well as from the ball reaction that I can see, it looks an awful lot like they are bowling on a regular old house shot. Can anyone tell me the actual difference between "Future of the Sport" oil patterns and what we amateurs see when we bowl in league play on THS?
On a house shot you usually have some forgiveness if you throw it too far right, it will tend to come back to the pocket. On this oil pattern you throw it too far right it won't make it back to the pocket.
Its interesting we still seperate the boys and girls in Bowling.. the strength advantage men have in this particular sport doesnt appear to have much of an impact like other sports. Are the over all averages really that big of a difference? I can mostly tell a difference in the atmosphere between men and women...men are more expressive and entertaining, the women are focused and simply bowl. Id like to see a PBA and PWBA mixer or even a doubles where they bowl together.
Where was the excitement in this event? The crowd seemed afraid to create some noise after the ball is released. The commentary, although trying to make it exciting, seemed flat. This was just a boring event.
Clara Guererro's coach, and her husband need to help her get lower and eliminate the drop bounce on her bowling deliveries, this way she can roll, not throw her balls smoothly on to the lanes. i really like Kelly as a color commentator,, as well as a bowler :) the guy with her , does nothing for me , i wish they would put a good 2nd knowlegdable woman with kelly , if you want to promote the women, make it about the women :) JMO

Cbs just uses bowling as a filler. They dont care. Kulich needs a new commentator when shes doing this
