Ripped from the pages of Robert E. Howard's beloved pulp stories, 1982's Conan the Barbarian and its sequel, 1984's Conan the Destroyer, not only popularized a new subgenre - the sword-and-sorcery film - but also made a cinematic icon of the star playing the titular hero, former bodybuilding sensation Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Conan the Barbarian, from maverick filmmaker John Milius, sees the Cimmerian thief and future king rise up from slavery to become an unparalleled and fearsome warrior, intent on vengeance against the evil snake cult that slaughtered his family long ago, led by the shape-shifting sorcerer Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones). In the sequel, helmed by action veteran Richard Fleischer, Conan finds himself escorting a young princess on a quest for a mythical horn that will awaken a slumbering god, battling an onslaught of evil beasts, wizards and cannibals along the way.
At long last, these glorious odes to the days of high adventure have been restored in stunning 4K with hours of bonus features and heart-racing Atmos remixes that immerse you in the action, accompanied throughout by electrifying music scores by the late Basil Poledouris (RoboCop). 🤔. I'm not against the original art work... (although on Steelbooks specifically I do like it when it's NOT just the poster)
My issue with this set is the windowed design on plain black.....

If the standard edition gets the original poster art, I will always go standard edition over a steelbook personally.

Yeah I think I'm on the minroty to be fair.... I think most people want the original poster art.... But I just love having something unique / different on the Steelbooks 😊
Thanks for this. Mine arrives on Friday. I ended up ordering mine from Amazon US. I did however manage to order The Warriors 4K boxset from Arrow before that went out of sale. I'm sure Arrow will release The Warriors within the UK at some point but I doubt it with this Conan set. It has something to do with 'Destroyer' but I can't remember what. Probably rights etc. I'm glad I ordered this as it looks fantastic.

There are 4K so should be region free, right?
4k discs are (bar a few anomalies) region free... But the blu rays that often accompany the 4k discs.... Can be region locked...
