It is rare to find a professional fisherman and a highly skilled engineer in one basket. Damon Olsen crafts his nomad design lures/gears from his soul. I’ve owned many Nomad lures designed by Olsen that never fails to feed my family. For this, I salute you.

I have an arsenal of Nomad lures and will add this one to my collection. Got two on order, don't let me down Nomad :-) Also had incredible luck with Nomad Stickbait lures, trolling and casting, catching huge Amber Jack and 60" Barracudas. Nomad lures are well marked, and they work!

I’m using them now. Lots of strikes, seldom hook up. The wahoo are tail biters, they aren’t trying to eat it

Definitely got to get some of these! Love that action even the little fin’s! it’s nice to see instead of constant even vibration! and I think it’ll get eaten! It’s fast at 18kts too! Although it’s nothing new to troll at that speed.

What size is the treble hook being used in the video?

Look carefully and you will notice that all of their fish have the lure outside of the mouth. I’ve used the madmacs with the same results. Lots of strikes, but when you do land a fish, you snagged it. For some reason the wahoo will strike it, but not eat it. I’ve actually snagged to fish in the belly. Thought I had a monster tuna, nope, wahoo gut hooked himself

Could it be that the wahoo, being a tail biter, is merely trying to cut the tail off instead of eating the “ fish looking “ lure?

Could be, that's how they hunt

I troll behind a sailboat at 4-7 knots on average. Will madscad troll at these slower speeds?
