Destin is so much fun, been going there since 2007. I'm always thrilled to go there and sad to leave. Anyone planning to go there, there is so much along with these 5 places mentioned. For example there's the donut hole(great breakfast,long lines), Shakes(amazing shakes made with custard), Mcguires(great burger place hard to miss very Irish, money stapled to the wall) I will plan on going to Destin every year. Go there you won't regret. Also you can trust me about this I live all the way out in Cincinnati and there aren't any beaches, but I can tell you so much about destin and I only go one week a year. Great place, great time, Go.

Destin is magnifecent. Emerald green waters, to snow white sands Destin is great. Great seafood, and very relaxing. It is a laid back town in the northwestern part of Florida or as most people call it the Florida Panhandle. The Gulf Of Mexico in this part of Florida is stunning. You can have so much fun on the Choctawhatchee bay like kayaking, boating, and various different kinds of activities. It doesn't matter if your a sunbather or relaxer, or a get out and sightsee kind of person Destin is the place for you. Say your a sunbather you can sunbathe on Destin's white sand beaches, or go to the relaxing sandbar on Choctawhatchee bay and relax with some drinks with freinds and family on a boat. If your that sightseeing kind of person you can go to Harbor Walk Village on Choctawhatchee bay and check out the shops, and resturants, or go to Sandestin and check out the shops, and resturants there. Destin is perfect for a family vacation, a couples vacation, a girls only vacation, or much more Destin is great so consider going.
Be prepared to get stuck in traffic that will be memorable, for a lifetime! lol Yeah, Destin is pretty awesome for families on vacation. Enjoy tourist, but get out of the way of locals, we move fast.

well destin has the nice beaches and good places to eat and islands surrounded by water and Pensacola is more crowed and has more things to do and eat but if i were i would go to both because there both really good places but if you want more of a nice family Community place go to destin....

xanh01 Depends on how active you guys will be but you sure will be outside for a majority of the time it's beautiful. We always stay at the Hampton Inn off of Highway 98 it's essentially in the center of it all and fairly close to the beach. Also, courteous staff, not very noisy, and free breakfast is a plus. Be careful with private rentals as they are individually owned/ can be more expensive. Unless you are really into the "at-home" feel, I'd still go with a hotel. Like I mentioned, you will be out most of the day anyway.
xanh01 Check out renting condos down there. We go every year and when you factor in that by staying in a hotel you're only option is to eat out a lot, you can save a lot of money by renting a condo and cooking in!
xanh01 That's what we do! We'll be there in a few weeks. Staying for 11 or 12 days, (honestly don't remember) for approximately $1,400. That's a little over $100 per night. Hotels in the area start around $150per night, so what's the damn difference? At least in a condo you can shop for groceries, do your laundry, and save some money. Check out Sandpiper Cove in Destin. Been there 4 times now and absolutely love it! We'll be there in a few weeks!
I'm freaking out I've been to the beach she went to , I've been to that water park , and I've been to the boat place i still have a recording when i went on a boat ride.
Okaloosa island? The Boardwalk? How was this forgotten. And can't say okaloosa island isn't destin because silver sands and the first crab trap talked about are technically in sandestin or miramar. Nice video though. Loved when I lived across the bay in Niceville.
When I took a trip to emrald coast I got attacked by a robot and then I went on the board walk an orca started chasing me and destroyed the board walk as I was running and then a big egg dude decided he could launch missiles at me,thatd why I dont go to the beach

Panama is more of the party city , destin is more relaxed family oriented ( also better for shopping )
