Dear Steve, you gave me the confidence to walk into an irrigation supply store as if I was a mediocre man. Thank you for your teaching, I wish you were my dad.
Extremely helpful, well thought out presentation! Especially for those of us who have plants already in place and have to work around those!! We don't always start with a blank slate! This was excellent!
My first post. After reviewing several you tube videos on installing drip irrigation systems, i finally worked up a flow design. Very simple in nature but more importantly, i found the confidence to do it myself. Ordered everything i need and I'm now just waiting for the items to arrive. Appreciate your easy to watch instructions.
@@melissareeder99 I scoured Amazon and bought from different vendors. I did get 2 different types of timers through they are both Melnor brand. One is bluetooth (new Model) and the other is not.
This was so helpful! I’m just in the research/planning process and you clarified so many points and gave great tips that I haven’t seen in many other videos :) Thank you!!
Well, I'm not so much into gardening, but my wife is. What I do like is playing with equipment and laying out systems. Fun for both of us, and then we don't have to worry so much about watering anything. Slick! Thank you!
Agreed…no nonsense help plus the first video that shows remote water valve away from house an mounted to a 4x4. I’m doing this also, and will have the main hose bib connections mounted to a plywood board as a base to keep things from moving around. The remote connection protects against big leaks at the house foundation.
This was an excellent, straight forward video with attention to detail. I’m going to setup drip irrigation to my flower beds. This is going to save me so much time and water. Thank you!
I’ve been thinking drip irrigation seemed complicated but this video laid everything out in the simplest terms. I’ll be free from torture in Texas next summer and I’m thrilled ☺️
thank you! probably the easiest, simplest video on drip irrigation I've seen yet. I avoided drip irrigation for a long time because it used to be more expensive. I'm learning that it's not as expensive anymore and so I'm ready to jump in. Only, I got stopped up at anything more than tubes, connectors and emitters. Thank you for sharing the basics for this beginner at DI.
My mom asked me to adjust her system around her flower bed. I'm pretty handy when it comes to general stuff but had no idea how to start. This got me going. Thanks.
Like many others said, thanks for a succinct video. The post production must have taken lots of time. I’ve been using drip systems for a long time, and am on our 3rd house where I’ve retrofitted the zone sprinkler system for drip. I love the idea of going up through the bottom of the planter. Now I know what I’ll be doing this week.
Great video! This helped me understand the basics of a drip irrigation system I had installed and how I can add drip irrigation to my new container plants. Thank you!
This is a great video! Thanks for taking the time to make it. I didn't even consider things like a pre-filter, etc. I'm sure I saved myself a lot of grief by watching this before starting my install including buying a lot of 'goof plugs'. 😁
Fine Gardening Sir where can I buy this system I have about 50 Podocarpus about 3’ tall just planted them for a privacy wall. I have a Homedepot nearby...?
Goof Plugs! A-ha! I've been wondering about that for the full year I've been considering a drip irrigation system. Thanks for the video. This overall straightforward explanation is the best I've seen.
I made a video similar to this one, that explains the accessories commonly used for building a drip irrigation system. For beginning "irrigationists", this video sums it up well. Skip to 2:48 in this video ruclips.net/video/j-j2J9lL_Sc/видео.html.
My garden is a long distance from my house. Can I run my hose over to the garden then attach my: Filter, regulator, timer, and 1/2"tubing system? Excellent video, TY!!
Great presentation video! I hope you can help me with my question: I am thinking about installing this system in a place where there is no city water and I am thinking about having a reservoir where I have the nutrient solution. I would then use a pump and with a timer it would dispense the water/nutrient to the plants. My question is: would the pressure from the pump reach the farthest point/emitter as well? I would appreciate your help.
This is the first guy man to get to the point and teach you very well and simply, he's the best, RUclips should give him an award 🎉
I appreciated how he got to the installation details without extemporaneous chatter. Quick and to the point, and very helpful!
Great video. Like everyone mentioned, I appreciate that there was no frills, straight to point and informational. Thank you!
