    In Poland when someone doesn't understand what we are talking about or we can't understand what is spoken to us, then we say: "We don't talk in Chinese " or "don't talk in Chinese to me", because Chinese is considered as a very difficult and completely incomprehensible language 😊

    • @ErnestSergio
      @ErnestSergio 28 дней назад +1

      But this is a carbon-copy of english "it is all Greek to me" / "it's all Chinese to me", Chinese is realitively not so hard to proponounce and even learn for Slavic people, as we share a lot of similar phonetics (dż, dź, zi, szy, si, etc).

    I totally agree with you and I'm from Spain... I lived abroad for 3 years in Germany , Netherlands and Lithuania and I ended up coming back to Spain this year because of a good job opportunity.
    In my experience, Amsterdam and Barcelona, where I'm currently living, are very bad places to live at, considering the cost of living/salaries, the ideology in these places, the insanely high taxes and the general feeling of unsafeness. I would definitely not raise my children in any of these places.
    I spent three weeks in Warsaw on holidays 1 year ago and I'm still in love with the place, the prices are still reasonable compared to the salaries and it's completely safe and with good family values.In fact, my intention would be to move there or to Luxembourg as soon as I can request to be relocated...
    Therefore, if I were you, I would think twice before you move here, specially if you have Barcelona in mind...

    I'm glad you enjoy living in my country and I feel humbled to hear so many nice words about Poland in general and Kraków in particular, the city I live in and love :D
    The trick to surviving winters in Poland is having the right gear, like warm shoes with good traction and Gore-Tex membrane, breathable thermal underwear, good jacket, buff-like neck warmer and good gloves etc ;) I also highly recommend trying skiing - for me, it’s something that virtually saves the winter because it’s an amazing outdoor sport and something to look forward to.
    And I’m certainly not the only one, as I know plenty of Poles who feel that way, especially those from Kraków and its vicinity ;) If you’ve never had the chance to ski or snowboard, a gloomy Polish winter might be the best opportunity to do so.
    Since Kraków is relatively close to the mountains, I recommend checking out Białka Tatrzańska - probably the best place to take your first steps on the slopes :)

    As a Polish woman, I will say this: I understand why abortion on demand is needed in countries like Colombia (where you said in your previous episode that cheating is normal there). However, despite modern times, Poland still consists of a majority of people who want to create serious relationships and not just one-night stands. Maybe this is also due to our history; if we want Poland to exist, we have to be serious about it and create a family to prolong the existence of our genes. So abortion on demand is simply not needed. Are there people in Poland who want it despite everything? Of course. We are seriously divided internally, just like America on the left and right. The left side wants everything we could see at the last Olympics in France, especially the way they presented themselves at the opening of that event. We aren`t a unanimous mass and because of many extreme views (from left to right) we can even argue with each other, especially in the family. For example, I don't talk to my mother about abortion because she is a total supporter of it and I think that it is good as it is - that abortion is only necessary when child threatens the mother's life, etc. We can't talk about abortion even though we are women... because we will start shouting at each other ;). There are taboo topics that are better not to discuss, especially at the dinner table when there are knives and forks at within your reach ;).
    You don't give the impression that you want to stay in Poland longer, but I'm glad that you decided to come to us and get to know our culture on your own. I think that's the best thing to do when you are curious about the world, still free, looking for a place to start a family and put down roots. You are acting very wisely, I hope you find a fertile land with the right partner

    • @magorzatab363
      @magorzatab363 29 дней назад +1

      It's better if abortion can be done on demand than if it's completely forbidden. I started supporting it because of the women who died after PiS meddled with abortion rights. Before I was pretty much against it. We had the best compromise possible in the world and those bastards destroyed decades long compromise where no-one was fully satisfied but everyone was content enough. And I'm not leftist, so don't apply pro-abortion just to the left. Some people just believe in body autonomy and want doctors not to be afraid to perform abortion if a woman's life is endangered, unless she states otherwise.

    • @weronika919
      @weronika919 28 дней назад +1

      You are wrong about the connection between abortion and Polish history. It used to be more accessible and more common than it is now. Even in villages there were women who involved in performing abortions (often they were the same ones who were involved in childbirth), for example, if a child was born without the parents being married or when a guy cheated on his wife.

    • @magorzatab363
      @magorzatab363 27 дней назад

      @@MadMatTom7769 , no, it doesn't. If you cannot decide for yourself who's more important - you or the baby you carry, especially if you already have babies waiting for you at home, then it means you don't have the body autonomy. Since the introduction of the new law, we had women who died together with babies because doctors were afraid to intervene and didn't talk to those women and their partners about what is going on and what are the real options. The doctors decided for those families and failed. Also, because they removed one of the exceptions, you can no longer decide if you want to remove the baby which is fatally ill until your life is in danger, which effectively means that if the baby is meant to die in the 8th month of pregnancy, you're forced to still carry it and push it outside of your body. Again, you have no body autonomy.

    Not sure if you're mostly hanging out in Warsaw (or Krakow, Wroclaw, the 3-City area-basically the big five), but you might want to check out some of the cozier, safer, more traditional mid-sized cities for that classic Polish vibe. Places like Szczecin, which is super close to Berlin for a quick day trip, or Katowice, Olsztyn, Lublin, Bydgoszcz...
    In these smaller cities, you'll probably be the only Asian person around in most places like streets, libraries, restaurants, pubs, etc. Honestly, I wouldn't bother learning Polish - English or Spanish is enough to get by and make some connections. And definitely don't waste your time with ruZZian lang... people pretty much hate them everywhere, not just in Poland, but across the civilized world. I doubt you'd ever want to live there - it's the polar opposite of Poland, combining the worst parts of Asia with the worst parts of the West. From what I've seen in your videos, their so-called 'culture' (yeah, those quotes are on purpose) isn't even close to what you're into.

    Wiele rzeczy mnie zaskoczyło w Twoich wypowiedziach - zresztą nie po raz pierwszy. 😳😄 Chociażby jak imponująco wiele krajów widziałeś. 🤩👍 Dotychczas wydawało mi się, że Twoim przyszłym kierunkiem jest Azja (może nie najbliższym, ale ostatecznym docelowym i tym zasadniczym) - taki powrót do korzeni, rodziny i świata, w którym jak zakładałam się łatwo odnajdziesz i zaklimatyzujesz bez przeszkód (nie sądziłam, że jednak są jakieś bariery). Do tego Hiszpania wydaje się być wspaniałym miejscem pod wieloma względami w zestawieniu z Polską (np. polską zimą 😁).
    Ciekawe przemyślenia na temat zjawiska rasizmu w Polsce i tutejszego podejścia do imigrantów. Nie wszyscy rozumieją polskie stanowisko i nasze obawy dotyczące napływowej ludności. My mamy trochę swoje 'odmiany rasizmu'. Trochę także taki rasizm z jednej strony ukryty-nie wprost. Albo jedynie powierzchowny, dla samego trzymania się takiego poglądu, że Polska tylko dla wybranych przyjezdnych. Jest chyba wiele wersji tych awersji do napływowej ludności - w zależności, o jakich imigrantach mówimy.

    I've watched a couple of your videos and I would probably refrain from writing this if it was just one or two videos of yours that featured extensive comments on Polish culture and society, and especially the question of the LGBT. Being _not_ an LGBT person, but a Pole, and having now learned that your command of Polish is limited to an understanding of a couple of dozen most common words, I'd like to ask you what gives you the audacity to keep pushing your personal, uninformed opinions as information about a thing you apparently know hardly anything about? You claim that Polish society's attitude toward gay people is exemplary. No, it isn't. Actually, it's anything but. Not only does Poland not have same-sex marriage, but there's even not an option for gay people to have a civil union. There is a bill prepared for another attempt to legalize the partnership of gay people, but the chances of it being passed by the parliament -- a parliament which is currently of liberal-democratic majority -- are slim. One of the major points of dissent is the clause that would allow the gay partner of a parent to become a legal guardian (with parental rights) of that child/those children. How do you like them apples? Do you still think that Poland is so awesome and neutral when it comes to the treatment of LGBT people? BTW, did you know that in Poland in order to be legally allowed to undergo sex change, you have to enter a civil court case against your parents for "misjudgement of gender"? That's cool and very well organized, isn't it?
    Or have you simply had no idea about any of this? Well, to be honest, I'm a little surprised. I'd say that some of this stuff is interesting/shocking enough that it should easily have made top headlines in English-language media reporting about Poland. Do you actually read anything about Poland, or are all your "insights" about this country based on what you can gather from your personal experience (which is admittedly quite limited when you don't know the language)?
    And, I probably shouldn't say this, lest I come across as some kind of a hater, but it does strike me as quite surprising that after having lived here for a couple of years, and being so appreciative of the country and what you were able to perceive about its culture and customs, your knowledge of the language and willingness to acquire it are so exceptionally limited and that you talk about the learning process exclusively in terms of an effort. What is a country's culture to you, then? Food and architecture? Women?

    We welcome easily Asians, Turks (and some other Middle Eastern people) and Hindus (Indians?) but not certain immigrants (that's why they proclaim we are "racist"). It's only because they do live on work of natives in Western Europe. While Asians and Indians are well known for their hard work and like not being trouble makers (unlike immigrants that are pushing at our borders xD). Actually we appreciate such foreigners cause if you work, become part of our culture and are respectful, we are going to welcome you as one of our people.
    Just how people don't seem to have problem with sportman Wilfredo Leon (volleyball), even though he's black person (ok, technically latino) in non multicultural country.
    It's the only reason. Notice how Poles NEVER were against any Asians (even Muslims, like from Indonesia or Malasia), (especially) Indians and we are kind of fond of Turks. It's different with SOME other immigrants. I think we all know why :)

    Great video. Regarding illegal immigration, it's important to mention that Poland was heavily involved in the wars that destabilized the countries that make up many of such immigrants. In 2001, Poland deployed thousands of troops to Afghanistan under direct US Command. Poland was also at the head of the forces invading Iraq in 2003 (top 4). When you go around the globe causing havoc, don't cry about the people running away from the countries you bombed showing up in your country. I find it funny they refer to illegal immigrants as "invaders" when it was countries like Poland that invaded them in the first place. Countries that destabilized other countries do not get my sympathy.
