- We Are Installing NVIDIA GPU Drivers Wrong
Few people wanted to see a video on DDU display driver uninstaller and NVCleanstall. I personally don't use NVCleanstall, but I have used it for others who wanted me to debloat there pc for gaming. It can help with stuttering, latency and boost FPS according to people that use the program.
NVCleanstall is not for everyone, so use at your own risk. Remember you can install the full driver from Nvidia if you want to go back to default settings.

I used Nvidia's downloadable cleaner tool on 2? occasions over 15 years or so. Aside from that utilizing the standard installer & performing a clean install has served me well.
If this actually works, why didn't you share any results / proof that after running it your GPU worked better?
Well it might make things run a little better but what it won’t do and never will do is get rid of shader comp stuttering or traversal stuttering in a game. So when someone makes a video saying they can get rid of stuttering. Take it with a huge grain of salt. Shader and Traversal stuttering that is in about 99 percent of UE games can’t be fixed by such solutions. It’s a dev issue. Not a driver issue.
@@PhotoJohn80 No one has proven it does that either.
It's not necessarily something you can just prove by showing benchmarks or a number graph. Input lag and microstutter for example will usually have to be felt, frametime graphs don't always show that. Best thing to do is try it for yourself and see if you find a difference, if not then leave it and then don't bother with it again, if it causes issues then just revert the changes. You shouldn't cause anything major that can't be easily fixed in 10 minutes.
Does it make any real performance difference. Probably a benchmark before and after to reinforce its worth doing. Thanks 😀
Funny story I got for ya. I usually use DDU for driver uninstalls. Lately my PC was acting weird after a Windows update. I was getting green screen crashes only while gaming on a 4090. I knew it had to be software related so I downloaded the latest drivers for Nvidia and for a quick fix decided to just do an in place install/update keeping all my previous settings. It worked. No more green screen crashes. Sometimes it just works without needing to clean previous driver installs.
I'm siding with some of the other skeptical commenters. If this method works why are there no before and after use case examples?
Did I miss where he said there was some kind of performance gain? I think all this does is remove most of the bloat from the drivers.
LouieBaLLz...He said it removes stutters and latency.Stutters are easy to demonstrate. RTSS is a onscreen graph that shows hicups in FPS. He could have run some games before re-installing the drivers. Then run the same games after and shown the improvements. Not 1 youtuber has shown postive results. They just show how to use the program.
LouieBaLLz....Plus,the videos thumbnail indicates you gain FPS as well.Another easy thing to prove.
There is nothing like a nice and clean install with all the BS takin' out. Im going to do this when I get time. Thank you, Brian.
Glad to help
Glad my comment on the "clean install drivers" helped with the inspiration of this vid ;)
Can't remember who asked, but thanks for the request.
I use NVclean and DDU for quite some time and im not looking back
I've been doing the same. It works
Thank you. Is there anything available to test the graphics card to see if everything is working fine?
I should try this out next time Brian. My card is working just fine at the moment. But yeah this looks good and never heard of these methods of removing components I'll never use. Usually I just breeze through using snappy driver to fetch every driver for my video card and as such installs that bloat. I don't game much anymore these days, it's mostly for video conversion and editing purposes primarily. But I think the next time I need to fix these issues or a corrupted installation I will run this. 😊😊
nice tutorial ill know where to go to find the tools, looks like a nice program thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
*_You_* might be installing NVIDIA graphics drivers wrong, but _I'm_ using an *AMD RX 6950 XT* in _my_ gaming build. 😆
Thank you, Brian! 🙏🏼👍🏼
so funny.. i forgot to laugh..
Thanks for the info
Yeah this seems super off brand for you. "install this because some sweaty guy on reddit said so... probably".
I've watched other youtube videos on installing this software but none provide a lick of evidence you gain a thing.I'm all for taking the steps if there are clear benefits. Why are there no benchmarks?
Good to know. Is DDU display driver uninstaller better than NVCleanstall?
Also, I personally like and use NVIDIA GeForce Experience: I use it to record videos.
Have you tried the Nvidia Beta installer?
@@AMBIOSIS Nvidia Beta installer??? Is this a new software?
Well this is useful
Thanks
Yeah as useful as a chocolate fire guard.
There was a video i uploaded awhile back on here and i didnt relise the sound of one of my cats coughing up a hair ball was picked up lol awesome video as always
Cheers smirk
bro, it selects 561.09 because any newer one isnt supported anymore, the tool didnt get updated.
7 Zip for the WiN!
been using this for well over i wana say 2 or so years i only use this and will NEVER use anything
Used it before, good tool
I don't use it, need to test to see if there is improvements
I use DDU
DDU is great
Doesn't anyone use "Geforce Experience"?
Anyone confirm if this is actually a better way to installing drivers? also does it improve issues in gaming?
No, I´ve used it years ago and it only game me problems. It will save some system resources if you have an old PC but if you have a decent rig the performance impact from all the Nvidia additional software is negligible, and you may end up needing some of it to profit from the latest features. This video is 90% clickbait.
@@Miskatonik WTF r u talking about, used NVCleanstall for years and never had a single problem, most people i know use this soft too.
Your comment is 100% shitty clickbait.
Dont listen this miskatonic bot or whatever. NVCleanstall is great software.
@Miskatonic-University watch till the end and you hear me say I don't use this myself, it was a requested video. Not tested it yet.
I've been using NvCleanstall for years. I've never had a single issue ever. It's great software.
I don't trust downloading 3rd party cleaner software
Both DDU and NVClean install r very reputable and well known programs that r used by hardware enthusiasts all the time. DDU is very handy for ppl at hardware unboxed and digital foundry, they use it to uninstall GPUs and install a new one without issue.
USE A CAPTURE CARD!!!!
I normally do, but I not well
haha nice 1, just trying it out now!! Ty for da info
I dont install wrong as im clever enough to buy AMD 😜
AMD drivers are always junk
@@Britec09 Never had a problem for as long as "foreva" ... I hate Nvidia for the fact you have to play around with a million settings before getting it right if something does go wrong ... really unnecessary to have so many settings that the average Jo doesn't even understand 🤔😵💫
These tools shouldn’t really be used at all. Removing the "bloat" from Nvidia GPUs could cause problems with games or the PC itself. One thing to mention is that your PC is likely powerful enough not to notice any performance drop from the "bloat," so it wouldn’t make much difference. I’d recommend removing bloat from Windows instead. It’s safer, more reliable, and a more trustworthy way to improve performance.
bro my nv control panel is gone.....
You probably removed it, here it is apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nf8h0h7wmlt?hl=en-US&gl=US
👍👍
I do not like NVIDIA it is making icons blank white
Long winded waffle.
Why don't you show us how we are supposed to make these videos then? That way we can all critique you.
@@Britec09 How on earth would that help you? You waffle on all over the place and confuse people because you are rarely concise about what you are talking about. You matey, are an amateur and lead people into virus city. Practice what you preach and grow up. Ok?
@@Britec09 Your response reflects your intellectual vocabulary matey, very short to say the least. You are an amateur, and a hypocrite, and you should practice what you preach. leading viewers down a virus laden path with your stupid methods, and you obviously lack any knowledge of what Nvidia themselves offer for a clean uninstall and clean install of their Graphics Drivers without upsetting the registry which relies on other software using the Nvidia Drivers. Grow up and act you're age and try to be professional.
I honestly don’t know how you put up with these clowns in the comments section.
I know, its the internet. I think I need to start hiding trouble makers.
Thanks for the info 🫡🤝
