      Hogwarts Legacy is actually somewhat of an okay experience now, I have a 4090, 5900X and 32gb Ram and the game was an absolute stutterfest, but it's actually okay now. I usually debloat my driver, but I disabled a few extra things this time and I'm not bothering with GeForce Experience and Shadowplay anymore, I'd rather my games run smooth than have the ability to record videos which I only do maybe once every few months if I see a funny glitch.

    Fair warning for those like me with custom color settings and Control Panel Settings. Doing a "Clean Installation" will wipe your presets and you'll need to redo all of them. Obviously, "clean" implies this in hindsight, but on the off chance this ends up doing nothing to improve your FPS and stability, you'll have an incredibly annoying headache to deal with that you didn't prior to this guide.

    So recently started Remnant 2 having a blast, I got a Rtx 3060 and a Ryzen 5 3600. I would get some good 80FPS somtimes, but then I noticed that in some densely populated areas my FPS dropped even as low as 31FPS sometimes. On some maps it would hover around 55 most of the time, but especially in fights it would drop, making the whole playtime with my friend rather unpleasent. I tried some guides for ingame settings and Nvidia Panel settings for Remnant 2, but no big changes. Then I decided might give the DDU Uninstaller and new drivers a go, after hearing about it in Panjnos video. Hasnt been that long, about 3 months since the last driver update I did so didnt expect much. Then I stubbled on more videos of Panjno and thought, lets give this one a try, disable the Gamebar, Enable Low latency Ultra (even if many said it was bad, as well as V-sync), check if all G-Sync Settings were still intact for my Monitor. The only thing I didnt do was use the Nvidia Inspector and change the Rebar settings, because it was getting late. So restarted the PC and went ingame, Game stuttering like crazy, loading screen taking almost 2 minutes to change, I land on my map and got 5 Fps, I think to myself...oh well I did the wIndows Restore Point backup, so either way I will be ok. But before I could even finish that thought, my FPS spikes at once landing at...115 FPS?! I mean sure that is while being idle, but before that, at that exact spot my FPS was at 55! So I give it a shot, Game feels incredibly smooth, the colors and textures look better than before, FPS has its up and downs highest at 115 and at the very lowest at 67FPS. So all in all I now got a solid FPS boost of about 50FPS while the game feels incredibly smooth, not a single stutter in sight, no input lag. Thank you!

    While I love using DDU when I feel the driver being jittery.. when it comes to installing latest Nvidia driver I tend to manually download the driver from Nvidia's website and choosing the clean install option (i assume it removes whatever windows installs and uses the nvidia driver), leaving everything as it is, no safe modes or disconnecting internet. I never had an issue. This driver debloat thing seems like a waste of time to worry about. Will not affect the game experience at all, especially when you already have a high end pc.
    The one thing I would consider as ''bloatware'' is Nvidia Geforce Experience. That thing does not belong on a computer, especially that the company doesn't even let you use it without an account. A big well done to AMD in that department

    • @RandalReid
      @RandalReid Год назад +6

      The standard clean install is fine most of the time. No need to DDU every driver update. Per the debloat, it's not a one size fits all solution (if it could even be called that) as most PC tweakings are. Some people swear by it, others say it's just placebo. Either way, I'd suggest to test it as it is safe enough not to completely screw your PC under normal circumstances. It's easily reversible as well.

    Just a heads up for anyone running W11 with smart app control on. (Smart app requires an internet connection to verify installation from Nvidia. There is no internet in Safe mode and for whatever reason Safe mode with networking F5 doesn't not want to work, spent hours looking for a workaround trouble shooting . So you will not be able to NVC debloat install from safe mode the (2ND step) so before using the DDU in safe mode pause windows updates and then run the final install after the reboot in normal mode since windows won't look for drivers being temporarily disabled. *Note this worked on my notebook that also has an Intel integrated GPU

    • @dubbleplusgood

      No idea what you're reading but nvidia driver checkbox for perform clean installation doesn't actual uninstall everything. Also it doesn't touch intel or amd drivers. You need to use things like DDU and NVCleanInstall.

    DDU already has a setting to reboot into Safe Mode before doing anything, so I'm not sure why booting in safe mode manually or disconnecting the internet is even a recommendation.

    • @TiberiusMoon
      @TiberiusMoon Год назад +2

      Safe mode disables background processes that may interfear with the uninstall, for instance you can't delete a file if a process is using it.
      Windows will ping the internet to install the GPU driver automatically, but that is not the one you want.

    • @Neonmirrorblack
      @Neonmirrorblack Год назад

      @@TiberiusMoon I know what safe mode is for, and how it works, but thanks.
      As I previously said, I don't know why he was recommending to *manually* do any of this, when DDU actually prompts you to reboot in safe mode already. Meaning, it's pretty much automated when using that program to install drivers anyway.
      It also has a feature to disable Windows from automatically installing drivers. So he's suggesting you use DDU, but then suggesting you also do things DDU already does for you. It's redundant and unnecessary.

    • @dubbleplusgood
      @dubbleplusgood Год назад

      It's not redundant because for some people windows tries to reinstall its own drivers even with that setting enabled. I've seen it happen in another RUclipsrs video and it happened to me in the past year.
