For A GPU debloat don't expect a huge increase in FPS, but rather an improvement in latency and stuttering.
Oddly enough my boot time decreased. Down from 11.3 to 8.0
@@trinixjin8039 Thats pretty good
@@melih.ozturk Idk what setting is this, but i just clicked to disable telemetry, if you're using geforce experience you must disable the shadowplay
debloated my idle temp went down 5 degrees i know i coldnt believe it either in hi end games i used to hit around 65c now i vary from 58 to 61 i haven't hit 65 again so theres something in that bloatware that uses resource or more spy crap who knows
Hogwarts Legacy is actually somewhat of an okay experience now, I have a 4090, 5900X and 32gb Ram and the game was an absolute stutterfest, but it's actually okay now. I usually debloat my driver, but I disabled a few extra things this time and I'm not bothering with GeForce Experience and Shadowplay anymore, I'd rather my games run smooth than have the ability to record videos which I only do maybe once every few months if I see a funny glitch.
Thank you for providing these excellent how-to videos. You thoroughly cover the options and explain the 'why' as appropriate. Anyone asking about DIY Windows and driver settings guides I refer to your channel.
This really helped my performance by a ton in some of my favorite games, thanks for the guide Panjno!

Fair warning for those like me with custom color settings and Control Panel Settings. Doing a "Clean Installation" will wipe your presets and you'll need to redo all of them. Obviously, "clean" implies this in hindsight, but on the off chance this ends up doing nothing to improve your FPS and stability, you'll have an incredibly annoying headache to deal with that you didn't prior to this guide.
Yep! I've just fell into that trap! What an idiot I am!!!
What kind of settings? Any guide reccomendstions,
@@FreshPanda97 It depends on your monitor, unfortunately. I'd recommend looking up your specific monitor's model name and looking for pre-configured profiles like that!
Yes, while opening any game i get 0 fps on it. How can i repair that!??
Can you know how to solve that?
perform clean instalation option doesnt clean any old driver files or anything, it just deletes any custom profiles you have set up via the driver panal or nvidia ProfileI nspector. recommend not ticking at all unless you want to set all that up again.
Use DLSS swapper program so you don't need to tick option for showing DLSS. This program also swaps in and out easily for each game.
I don’t know if it’s a placebo in which it might be, but I could tell the differences almost immediately after restarting after the final step. Huge thanks, had never done a debloat once and got my 2070super right when the 30 series first came out, so this was long overdue.
in settings of DDU you can disable auto updates for drivers by windows, as another alternate, i do this and works everytime, but its all on preference :)
I was just about to say the same thing, then i saw your post ;-) it would have been nice to show any difference (FPS) between the two normal and de-blotted drivers, but ill give this a go .

Really effective and i notice a small decrease of temperature in my gpu and some stable gaming on my garbage laptop.but i did not include the optimus option in my custom driver. I think that's why I have this difference

You need to remember to go back into that to turn it back to regular boot once you're back in Safe Mode to run DDU.
this has definitely helped my fps , i never did any benchmarking but its just feels more stable now
however one problem i used to have the used to royally f*ck me off was when my i would come back to my pc and wake my monitors from sleep .... i run 2x monitors and it would flicker between the 2 with a bunch of maybe 6 or 7 black screens , it happened ever since i got my new monitor that uses display port (old one was DVI) that is now completely gone, that alone is amazing!! so thank you

I can understand disabling telemetry for tracking / Nvidia tracking DLSS or RT usage etc, but other than that I’m not sure any of the other stuff is needed ….. just my opinion
The major tracking is in geforce experience. Just don't use that trash. See my comment about the hidden driver integer sharpening which replaces the need for a overlay. For recording just use OBS. Shadowplay is pointless since it doesn't even support AV1.

- should i use DDU to remove AMD I-GPU drivers (7800x3d)
- should i disable said I-GPU in bios as i have a D-GPU

Thank you for this very informative and useful video.
When I use this program, Nvcleanstall I can't watch Amazon Prime Video in the best resolution. It says "your video will play in standard definition because your hardware HDMI cables and display must all meet content protection"

we do the same always after a new update from nvidia come out? or stay with this version that we did ddu?

You have to do it every time you want to update or the NVidia driver update (which is really just a reinstall) will put the bloat back.
@@KwisatzHaderach77will these steps still apply for a new driver update? Do you need to uninstall the previous de bloated one first then follow these steps for the updated driver?
@@christopherpalmiero6311 I've had good luck without having to uninstall the debloated one but just following the reinstall part with the new driver version, but if I just let the driver update itself automatically then it puts a lot of stuff back.

would you recommend to disable ansel in the more recent version of NVCleanstall?
Do you have to do this everytime the drivers update?
Just a heads up for anyone running W11 with smart app control on. (Smart app requires an internet connection to verify installation from Nvidia. There is no internet in Safe mode and for whatever reason Safe mode with networking F5 doesn't not want to work, spent hours looking for a workaround trouble shooting . So you will not be able to NVC debloat install from safe mode the (2ND step) so before using the DDU in safe mode pause windows updates and then run the final install after the reboot in normal mode since windows won't look for drivers being temporarily disabled. *Note this worked on my notebook that also has an Intel integrated GPU
Nice vid man I just want to ask well i play on my ultra gear 27inch 1080p 144hz monitor and háve in some games probléms with grain or small paticles or even pixelating over all i know i have Rtx 3070 and ryzen 9 3900x witch is over kill for 1080p but soo far i have great experience with that ultragear but latest game i try was ghost recon breakpoint and playing that on ultra all crank up yett still fire and wather splash looks pixelated also waves and háve no idea why can find any fix on this but literally this is only game witch i have this problém also i using hdr móde cuz i have small issue with monitor while i tried watch anything on youtube in black places it was horrible pixelated and cant fix it until i turn on contrast tp 100 and brightsness to 50 in nvidia controlor panel what kind of settings you use IF i may ask on your monitor
The "pixelation" issue sounds like it is just the built in TAA/DLSS. You are seeing why the haters of TAA and DLSS hate it. They both really soften the image, and most games do not implement either correctly. Warframe is by far the best example I know of for TAA, and Returnal (a recent port) has a pretty damn good implementation of DLSS.
Either DLSS/TAA will look better as you up resolution.
nothing you can do, it is a mix of your vision catching things and the pixel being too big. It is simply harder to notice with smaller screens but it is still there. Think about it like this. Most of the times you wont see a fan to spin, but sometimes you can do some gesture with your eye (blinking in a special way is a good start) And it is like you catch the fan stopped in time for a MS. This grainy effect it is exact the same effect. That is why you dont always notice it but pop ups once in a while. For example, the fan in my chasis is huge and spins slow, at 400 or so RPM, you usually wont see its blades.. but if i want, i can see them, other times i just move my eyes and do it unintentionally. and this thing goes 400rpm.. the screen is going at 165 hz in my case...27 inches is range for 1440, i know that... learned it the same way you are.
Simply brilliant, sir.
Panj! Can you make a video on how to completely refresh a pc? Like wipe everything and start at zero. Thanks! :)
Can the DLSS Indicator be toggled off in game? If not, can this enable setting be changed without repeating the full process? Thanks
Google “disabling DLSS indicator techpowerup” . It shows you the registry setting to change
does gforce experience not install and auto delete any previous drivers? thats how ive been doing it for years...
Does the driver automatically install after I restart from safemode or do I have to install it again
THANK YOU 👍 It's work very well, Furthermore my Gpu consumes 50w less in idle. 😎
I always thought that a clean install meant uninstalling the old driver. I've noticed just recently that when I install my Nvidia driver's through GeForce Experience that the first thing it does is uninstall the old driver. So that's been good for me. I've done all of the settings videos and I never really see any exceptional increase. As far as debloting. I haven't tried this.
so once you do this do you have to do this every time you update your drivers? i use gforce experience to update my drivers cause its so much easier. i update drivers about once a month having to do this every time seems like a hastle
lol
Hey Panjno, do I do this everytime I download a new driver to keep it in effect?
My ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 always experience shuttering with lowest graphic settings in Apex Legends, this video helps a lot ,TQ!
@Panjno how should I update my game ready drivers? should I go through nvidias force or do I have to do the set up over again like in the vid?
Yes if you want debloated drivers, if you update it normally then it installs all the tracking telemetry and unnecesary stuff
When repeating this step for other drivers in the future, do we just delete all files from the folder we made and copy and paste the new one?
yep delete all of them after installation useless after it
You can get the debloated drivers from chocolatey, way easier than doing it yourself.

quick question, how are we supposed to know that there are drivers updates if we dont have geforce experience?
Was wondering that too,
Will i need to follow this provedure everytime i want to install a driver? Plus, what will happen if i don’t install optimus as a laptop user?
So when a new Nvdia driver comes out just do this all over again?
Will I have to keep doing this same procedure when a new nvidia driver comes out? or just install it normally?
Will doing this reset all my nvdia control panel settings? If it does, any way to avoid it?
Used to use ddu but last time i removed the driver in the control panel and clean install the new one. Fortnite runs smooooooth
DDU already has a setting to reboot into Safe Mode before doing anything, so I'm not sure why booting in safe mode manually or disconnecting the internet is even a recommendation.
Safe mode disables background processes that may interfear with the uninstall, for instance you can't delete a file if a process is using it.
Windows will ping the internet to install the GPU driver automatically, but that is not the one you want.
@@TiberiusMoon I know what safe mode is for, and how it works, but thanks.
As I previously said, I don't know why he was recommending to *manually* do any of this, when DDU actually prompts you to reboot in safe mode already. Meaning, it's pretty much automated when using that program to install drivers anyway.
It also has a feature to disable Windows from automatically installing drivers. So he's suggesting you use DDU, but then suggesting you also do things DDU already does for you. It's redundant and unnecessary.
It's not redundant because for some people windows tries to reinstall its own drivers even with that setting enabled. I've seen it happen in another RUclipsrs video and it happened to me in the past year.
Just thank you. Subscribed
