GeForce experience has this option built in. You don’t need to do any of this. Just literally click one box (remove old drivers) when installing new drivers thru the custom option.
@Panjno Nvcleanstall updated today and it added an option to disable Ansel which is a screenshot tool so it's another useless thing you can disable in a future video.
When I use this program, Nvcleanstall I can't watch Amazon Prime Video in the best resolution. It says "your video will play in standard definition because your hardware HDMI cables and display must all meet content protection"
This is old but it's because you ticked the disable HDCP option in the tweaks. It's needed for content protection for some content providers like netflix or when watching bluray.
DDU already has a setting to reboot into Safe Mode before doing anything, so I'm not sure why booting in safe mode manually or disconnecting the internet is even a recommendation.
Safe mode disables background processes that may interfear with the uninstall, for instance you can't delete a file if a process is using it. Windows will ping the internet to install the GPU driver automatically, but that is not the one you want.
@@TiberiusMoon I know what safe mode is for, and how it works, but thanks. As I previously said, I don't know why he was recommending to *manually* do any of this, when DDU actually prompts you to reboot in safe mode already. Meaning, it's pretty much automated when using that program to install drivers anyway. It also has a feature to disable Windows from automatically installing drivers. So he's suggesting you use DDU, but then suggesting you also do things DDU already does for you. It's redundant and unnecessary.
It's not redundant because for some people windows tries to reinstall its own drivers even with that setting enabled. I've seen it happen in another RUclipsrs video and it happened to me in the past year.
this has definitely helped my fps , i never did any benchmarking but its just feels more stable now however one problem i used to have the used to royally f*ck me off was when my i would come back to my pc and wake my monitors from sleep .... i run 2x monitors and it would flicker between the 2 with a bunch of maybe 6 or 7 black screens , it happened ever since i got my new monitor that uses display port (old one was DVI) that is now completely gone, that alone is amazing!! so thank you

Worst decision ever. Was working just fine and now it's worse. Tried to download the "normal driver" and now the DLSS message in the bottom left corner will never go away. Fantastic.
No, it's pretty unnecessary actually. It's been shown time and time again in tests that using Geforce Experience to download new drivers does NOT create any sort of issues. Even in the long run. Using DDU to manually uninstall drivers and then manually installing new drivers is completely unnecessary nowadays with modern computers and drivers. You really do NOT need to go through this entire process.
Have never used DDU, even though RUclipsrs recommend it, like Jayz2Cents. Rarely have issues with game though. Only game I have an issue with Dead Space remake. It has awfull stutter and hitching for me, while a rare amount of people report no issues with Dead Space. Some folks here repoorting temperature drops and FPS boost using DDU though. Using DDU is totally optional and even the tool's creator says it's only intended to be used if there are issues.
I want to thank you for this video. My 2013 GPU is now running amazing for its age and the temperature went down significantly.
I had trouble with Baldur's Gate 3, after watching your settings video on BG3 I can play the game without a lag of 2 seconds.
What's the name of your GPU card? Is GeForce 710 enough for Baldurs Gate 3 and other 2018-2022 games? 😅
@danielsurvivor1372 no but anything 7th gen and bellow you're good to go. With experiences here and there with indie games
Improved my fps to minus 30%. I don't recommend doing this.
so for every new driver update you need to to this process all over again?
Yep, but you shouldn't always need to update the driver unless needed
This helped a lot with my FPS increase, went from 131 FPS to 175-180FPS in COD MW 3. New Subscriber.
I’m on a laptop on my second monitor and there a no signal
Thanks for the detailed guide in this video. Are we supposed to repeat these steps whenever a new Nvidia driver releases?
I always thought that a clean install meant uninstalling the old driver. I've noticed just recently that when I install my Nvidia driver's through GeForce Experience that the first thing it does is uninstall the old driver. So that's been good for me. I've done all of the settings videos and I never really see any exceptional increase. As far as debloting. I haven't tried this.
The Game filter is a life saver. And recording/ streaming is awesome with experience
My ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2070 always experience shuttering with lowest graphic settings in Apex Legends, this video helps a lot ,TQ!
Just do a clean install every time you update your driver. No need for DDU.
Hi there, very big thank you.
I own a i7 12700 kf and a 3080ti.
Because reasons i use a 4k samsung Tv wasnt cheap quite good ms.
To play Hunt Showdown liquid i used a 2500x???? window mode at around 140 fps.
4k goes but 50 to 60 fps and "feels" kinda sad.
I like to do some clips for fun use not content creating and i am happy i can play now full screen 4k at 95 to 110 fps.
And the feeling is fine total liquid.
That was awesome and i cant belive its true having such an fps increase only debloating the latest driver.
Even the mic is loud again just because i kicked experience out of it.
gonna try odb soon.
So man it works and thanks and i even did not reset the Nvidia Control Panel recommened setting after its new install.
Win11 installed NCP unasked and automaticly by the way.
You are slapping the driver developers right in the face^^
Of course i subscibed.
This was the best thing done to my pc since I bought it. Thank you so much.
Thanks for updating your old debloat driver video!
Should I do this for new pc with 4080?
no. i have 7800x3d + 4080 and this made everything run worse.
Hey Panjno, in the intel undervolt video, you mentioned that you were going to come up with a video for the ones who have locked bios/cannot undervolt through intel xtu. So can you try to do that next?
🎉 yes!
Yes please
9:33 I keep getting “this file cannot be accessed by the system” when I try to run DDU on safe mode. I try it on regular mode and it lets me boot it up but tells me I should be in safe mode…any help anyone?
So basically. install other random programs and they'll "magically? increase your FPS by 45%... Hard pass.....
GeForce experience has this option built in. You don’t need to do any of this. Just literally click one box (remove old drivers) when installing new drivers thru the custom option.
You didn't watch the video, did you.
quick question, how are we supposed to know that there are drivers updates if we dont have geforce experience?
Was wondering that too,
@Panjno Nvcleanstall updated today and it added an option to disable Ansel which is a screenshot tool so it's another useless thing you can disable in a future video.
Thanks for answering my question with a quick ctrl+f, you rock!
DO NOT DO THIS. This completely made all of my games unplayable. And i cant revert it making my laptop unable to play any games
Just uninstall it with DDU and install the regular driver w/out the tweaks bro, no need to fret over it 😊
When I use this program, Nvcleanstall I can't watch Amazon Prime Video in the best resolution. It says "your video will play in standard definition because your hardware HDMI cables and display must all meet content protection"
This is old but it's because you ticked the disable HDCP option in the tweaks. It's needed for content protection for some content providers like netflix or when watching bluray.
Why not just let Nvidia do a clean install of a new driver?
Must this be done every time there is a new driver that comes out?
"This video helped me a lot in Valorant. The teleportations of other players on my screen decreased, and the game became much smoother."
this has definitely helped my fps , i never did any benchmarking but its just feels more stable now
however one problem i used to have the used to royally f*ck me off was when my i would come back to my pc and wake my monitors from sleep .... i run 2x monitors and it would flicker between the 2 with a bunch of maybe 6 or 7 black screens , it happened ever since i got my new monitor that uses display port (old one was DVI) that is now completely gone, that alone is amazing!! so thank you
msconfig is much easier for safe mode
Please note that the expert options causes issues on rust
How bout showing some actual performance benchmarks?
He did at the start of the video didn't he?
Unless you mean real time benchmarks instead of just stats, I agree, he should
After following this guide Lords of the fallen (2023) would not start. It worked when the driver was reinstalled in the undebloated form.
Dang I spent all the time following your other video first and this un-did all the settings so I gotta re-do it all sadge.. but thank you for the content
i just luv u dude year after year u deliver istg i have been for a long while and u never disappoint
9:14 you only need to hold the shift key when clicking restart
My second monitor is no longer detected. What part of the options during the de bloat handles this action?
oh my Lord. Ive had problems with Fortnite fps drops that used to think that my new 4060 is broken. but now its all gone
End can i uninstal this 3 aplication what im instal?
intel+nvidia combo really doesnt need any tweaking, apart from well i guess resizable bar and free/gsync
even most games youll fine with default graphic settings/ or presets
Worst decision ever. Was working just fine and now it's worse. Tried to download the "normal driver" and now the DLSS message in the bottom left corner will never go away. Fantastic.
Is this something we should do every time there is a driver update?
Debloat the driver? yes, but you do not need to do the DDU unless you get performance issues.
Yes it is pain in the ass. Not worth it
No, it's pretty unnecessary actually.
@@DeadPixel1105 omg that what i am saying
@@DeadPixel1105 crazy part is I did all the steps just now and didn't see any performance gain whatsoever in the games I play, it was just how it was.
Panj! Can you make a video on how to completely refresh a pc? Like wipe everything and start at zero. Thanks! :)
Soerly trempting, even though my temps are fine.
im having some stutters in games after ive done this
If you could stop the speed Rx , and slow the F#$Kdown, this could be helpful.
Just use 0.75x playback. That's what I do with all this guy's videos
I use 1.25x lol
It really helped, well put together good explanation. Thanks
whats wild to me is so many of these ''fps boosting'' videos never work for me. I never see any difference in performance. I have a rtx2070 super, I know it's not the best gpu but I shouldn't be having stuttering and frame drop up and down in competitive games with medium to high settings.
I still remember watching this guy play Rust legacy. Fucking amazing content, got me into a 4000 hour deep binge of the game, why’d he delete the videos?
some parts were confusing but it helped so thank you
