Depressing that that beautiful and thinking animal is locked up and not roaming free in the wild.
You would rather him be eaten alive,or ripped apart by his group . I don't think you have a clue about the wild. SMH
Both their habitats and their population in the wild are shrinking. While it would be beyond great to see them return to their natural habitats, it's simply not possible as it stands. Hopefully, it'll change in the future but for now, we're lucky to even have some in captivity. We have the chance to bolster their population that way and hopefully get their habitat back in order. If we didn't, it'd be very likely they'd end up extinct.
@@Cochise44 Orangutans are actually pretty solitary. They don't live in groups in the wild and even if they did, they're gentle giants like gorillas. They wouldn't get eaten alive or ripped apart by other orangutans.
@@Cochise44we do the same thing with animals, relax kid
@@Cochise44 the wild is home to these creatures thats what they are ☠️
That tap just kills me. "Hey, can I see the baby?"
It's like me as a little kid when I used to see random babies or doggies outside of the house. Always knowing to ask politely if I could say hello. I adored playing peekaboo with them, just to see a drooling slobber grin I couldn't help but giggle at.
later he shows her own baby

An animal that intelligent should not be in a cage
@@StrongCoreSociety says you
An understandable reaction. But the sad fact is that humans have destroyed orangutans natural habitat so much that we would have even smaller numbers now if it weren't for breeding programs made possible by zoos and safari parks.
Animals in enclosures that are open to viewing by the public are a necessary part of the conservation effort.
A child can be inspired to grow up to help protect these magnificent creatures and their homes, rather than purely inspired by the profits gained from destroying them.
It does suck that we, as a species, have destroyed so much of the natural world that this is what we must do now to reverse the damage we have done, but this is all part of making it better, not worse.
It's pretty likely that by its standards it pretty much lives in paradise. I don't think orangutans care much about exploring the world like people do, they just want to live their lives in peace.

Anti zoo propaganda through anthropomorphising. Some small homezoos are bad but The idiots that go to zoos are one thing. But the zoo keepers are doing important research and those animals are happy.
They should have donated the human so it could look after him 😢
@@SKITEMANalso I’d say well over half of not like 80 percent of animals in a zoo are there because they can’t survive in the wild on their own. A lot of people can’t look past the oohhh animal behind glass or a cage so sad. This is something I understood as a child so it’s weird seeing comments talking about how wrong or depressing animals at zoos are. Also if we didn’t have zoos the amount of people who would say animals don’t exist is gonna skyrocket. When I was younger I thought rhinos were like dinosaurs and didn’t think they were real and then I got too see one. Blew me away was a beautiful creature and seemed unbothered and happy too me.
I saw the related video. When she saw the human baby, she went and brought her baby to share the bond of love
Aww i want to see🥺
They need to show the whole interaction. It was so wholesome she actually went and got her baby to show off
That was actually a different interaction between a mom and a gorilla. Orangutans also have a soft spot for other baby primates!
Where that vudeo?
That video was pieced together. The animals weren't even the same. First part was an orangutan(this part) and the second part, a gorilla.
The orangutan : “yeah bro he’s valid”
Imagine be being so bored, you want to see a human baby.
Not bored she's just curious. Orangutans and other great apes are very curious and smart. The Orangutan probably had never seen a human child before and was curious what it was.
The entire situation is sad, poor thing should be roaming free
@kingomnom8317 look how small that enclosure is. she is indeed bored. poor baby, it's horrible that she can't be in the wild.
That animal is too beautiful and intelligent to be in a cage 😔
Some animals are rescues and can’t survive on their own. Most of these animals have loving people taking care of them.
Hunters are the reason.
He’s fed everyday and is protected from animals and the elements. He lives a good life
I think they have a large space for him to roam around and they take care of him. He's safe there. What is it you think he's not getting?

Baby would’ve been the apes lunch if not for the glass separating them😂
I was at London Zoo with my children when they were little. There was a large crowd at the orangutan enclosure. The orangutan kept pointing to my 2-year-old son and beckoning him over to her. We got him to the front where she wanted him and then she held up her tiny baby to show my little boy. She was holding her baby against the glass so my son could ‘touch’ the baby’s hand and held him up for my son to kiss him. I'll never know why she chose my toddler out of all the young children there, including my 3 other children. It was a beautiful moment. When you look into their eyes you really can see why we share 97% of our genes with them.
