Great video! Love the outfits. That costume looked like a killer to run in (you were basically wrapped in polyester!🌡️🔥😅). I also think I saw the real Santa! Being so tired from his long night he was naturally using hiking poles and wearing shorts in the relatively temperate northern English weather. 😂
Haha thank you glad you enjoyed. The outfit was literally a slow cooker, i was 100% cooking faster than the turkey 😂 Haha yes well we thought if any round here he might show up to this one. We were going to do Cliff Castle in our home town but thought he’s unlikely to show up there given the hill and his night of work 😂😂 xx
Cheers Craig. Hope you had a great Christmas. What fantastic footage. Spotted a couple of familiar faces which was nice. Done Lister parkrun just once. Remember it was a nice park with a couple of shorts hills but can’t remember much else. It’s amazing how popular festive ParkRuns are, with many events seeing massive increase in usual participation numbers. ParkRun is fast becoming a Christmas tradition.
Thank you Colin. Hope you had a lovely day too pal. Yeah the Christmas Day parkruns have certainly gained in popularity over the years and i completely get it. I couldn’t think of anything else I would rather do Christmas morning, especially when I know what the dinner is going to look like hahaha. Thanks for watching mate
Wow! That was ace!! Really enjoyed that one. So interesting to view so many different angles. I'll have to do one in Bradford one day as it's not too far from Middlesbrough 😊
Haha cheers Andy. The shoes were brand new New Balance first outing today. Lister Park is a lovely park tbf only 20 mins from home too. Think it’s my second most attended parkrun
Well done Craig. That course looks really similar to the one we did at the weekend in Oldham. I cant imagine that was easy in that outfit. Merry Christmas mate 🎄🧑🎄
Thank you glad you enjoyed. I just thought it would be nice to be able to see people’s costumes as I pass them instead of just from the back and it being Christmas give a sense of being closer to the action lol
Ah great glad you enjoyed it, thought it might be fun and feel a little interactive, I know I like to get a good look at some of the costumes over Christmas so what better way haha xx
Haha sorry we’re closed for the holiday but you can start a web chat with our bot out of office hours 🤪. Cheers pal, took some keeping cool in it but had a load of fun all the same. Cheers for watching 😁
Thanks pal. Yeah the 360 videos use high compression so can get a bit pixelated at times but the enjoyment and partial interaction was the goal for this and if we achieved that, it’s a win. Hope you had a wonderful day and we wish you a happy and positive 2025 x
That was fantastic, best wishes from gorey parkrun in the south east of Ireland. Ps as you walk into the natural history museum in London there is a skeleton of a great blue whale up in the roof which was discovered off the coast near here, any relation.
Ah glad you enjoyed it thank you for watching. Yet to do some Ireland parkruns, that sounds like a great name for one of my videos 😉 Haha tbf I don’t think it is a relative, though I think after an overindulgent Christmas, I imagine the size and shape wouldn’t be too far apart 🤣🤣
I used it a few times this year and got around an hour and a half though that was about collectively and not one straight recording. For 8k I think it does alright for battery but modern high end action cameras will always come out on top
@ cheers pal. Yeah thought it would be nice to see everyone looking all Christmass from all angles. Holding the camera and wearing the costume was a very warm and tiring affair but all worth it lol
Hello, how are you? I would like to know what program you use to transfer the telemetry data to the running videos. I have the DJI osmo action 4 and I don't know which program to use. I'm writing from Spain with the translator because I watch your videos but I understand little. Thanks for your answer and encouragement. I don't miss any video. Thank you very much for your time 🙋
Hello. I am great thank you and hope you are too. I use telemetry overlay which is about 190 euros it looks like it recently went up in price. You could try Garmin virb which is free but a little harder to work as it is not really supported anymore. I uploaded a video recently showing how I do this but it being in English I expect presents a problem. If you want to know anything else drop me an email to Craig.whale@hotmail.com and I can try describe the process for both over email. Hope that’s of help my friend ☺️
@TheRunningWhale Muchas gracias por tu respuesta, probé Garmin virb, pero no me ha funcionado bien. Volveré a probar.

Yeah the quality takes a slight dip but feels more interactive. Glad you enjoyed it matey, it’s a good one to visit 👌
Enjoyed the 360 perspective 👍 nice work 🎅
Great glad you enjoyed it thank you ☺️
Now that is a full on fancy dress costume Craig, what were those shoes, looked like slippers😂Lister Park looks lovely even in 3D😂
Haha cheers Andy. The shoes were brand new New Balance first outing today. Lister Park is a lovely park tbf only 20 mins from home too. Think it’s my second most attended parkrun

woah next level viewing I love it, although those nose hairs need manscaped lol just kidding merry xmas to one and all ho ho ho
Haha I knew I forgot something before I left the house this morning 😂 Merry Christmas pal 🎄
Well done. Really interesting, that. Despite the reduced resolution, I think it gave a better feel for what it's like to be there.
Thank you glad you enjoyed. I just thought it would be nice to be able to see people’s costumes as I pass them instead of just from the back and it being Christmas give a sense of being closer to the action lol
Wow! That’s clever! Love the 360 video x

Cute outfits guys ❤🧑🏻🎄🍬
Thank you Shara, it was worth almost being late 😂
Now that is something else, going big on the production quality now 👀👀 #nomatch
Haha cheers, glad you liked it. I’m just a massive gadget geek really 😜
I'm having a bit of trouble looking up your nose, is there a tech support number i can ring? 😂
Quality video mate. Love the costume 😁👍
Haha sorry we’re closed for the holiday but you can start a web chat with our bot out of office hours 🤪.

Great outfits and atmosphere, picture a bit blocky in parts but highly enjoyable. All the best to you and Sister Mandy for 2025. Cheers Rob

Thank you and wishing you a fab new year too!
Good in 360 that!! You must of been on Santas good list😂
Haha cheers glad you enjoyed it. Nah he forgot about me this year and went all out for my dogs 😂😂
@ unbelievable! Santa that is😉

id be interested to know what battery life is like compared to normal action camera
I used it a few times this year and got around an hour and a half though that was about collectively and not one straight recording. For 8k I think it does alright for battery but modern high end action cameras will always come out on top
@ 8k oooo I only do 2.7k or 1080p lol saves sd card space
@ ah yeah the sphere on this camera does a full 8k but the 16:9 cropped in is more 2k. Does chomp through space on. The sd
Never seen that 360 dynamic. Likes it ; well done. And a decent run in that outfit!
@ cheers pal. Yeah thought it would be nice to see everyone looking all Christmass from all angles. Holding the camera and wearing the costume was a very warm and tiring affair but all worth it lol
