Thanks Craig & Mandy. Great video to cap off a super year. The morning mist added to the video. Fantastic to see you met Liz and Carl. I know them well. They're awesome - such a lovely couple. Rother Valley looks a great place to run. Nice, long, flat path is my cup of tea. Had very long canal run yesterday myself whilst it was still dark. Couldn't see a thing because of the mist. Made it quite eerie.
Thank you Colin, glad you enjoyed it. The mist did give it an eerie feel and I’m happy with how it turned out. Would have been nice to get the lake in but that just sounds like a good reason to go back. Small world isn’t it! It was lovely to meet Liz and Carl, vey jolly couple. Running Rother Valley reminded me of running on the canal tbf. Course you’re crazy running on the canal in low light and mist lol I went on the other night and nearly ended up in the canal 😂😂 still it does make for a very peaceful run. Anyways thanks for watching pal and the engagement throughout the year, it’s beyond appreciated. Wishing you all the best in 2025 ☺️
Cheers pal, I think it’ll be a good addition and help motivate her too. I’ve already charged the camera 😂😂 Thank you as always and all the best for a successful and fun packed 2025 👌
Thank you, not sure how much of any training clips from me Craig would be able to put on here 😂 his training does seem to work for me though so I’ll give him that 😂
Well done both of you. I didn't know they had a parkrun in Silent Hill 😀 looking forward to that sub 25 attempt next week. You have my eternal gratitude for the offer to pace me 💙
Haha I knew I recognised it from somewhere. Thankfully much easier to leave 😂 No problem at all, looking forward to it. Though I think you’ll smash it now all the work you’ve put in mate.
That’s a great idea Craig, a Sister Mandy slot each week, mind you that depends on how Mandy feels about it😊But I think ‘25 will be the year Mandy goes sub-32, I really do🥳
Haha Cheers Andy, I think that's a unanimous yes for Sister Mandy training updates then. I'm sure she'll be happy with it, especially with the hope of a sub 32 ;-)
Omg Andy, sub 32, don’t be giving Craig outlandish ideas 😂 baby steps, just need to get back to where I was previously then hopefully improve upon that. Not sure how I feel about the segment yet, he sprung that one on me yesterday 🤦🏽♀️
Haha awesome 1 vote for I think we might be good to go hehe Thank you for following along Linda, it’s great to have you on board the Whale train and I hope we keep you even more entertained and inspired in 2025 xx
I was there today. My second visit to Rother Valley, probably my favourite in the south Yorkshire area. Mandy passed me at one point and i said out loud “oh its mandy” but I meant to say it in my head 😂
Haha amazing shame we missed you there. I imagine Mandy was oblivious anyways, she was in the zone today for her time. It is a great Parkrun, our first time there but eager to get back when visibility is above 20 meters 😂😂
@ I'm hoping so or she would have heard someone just randomly say her name 😂 ill definitely be back, only half hour away for me! Really struggled today with a reoccurring injury so I kept walking, I think me and Mandy swapped places 4/5 times 😂
@@CallumJones-Bowman oh she would have loved that, I know that usually spurs her on, you’re probably one of the reasons she got the time she did today 👌😉 Hope the injury is under control and gotten rid of quickly ☺️
Oh no, sorry I missed that, like Craig said, I was in the zone although I can be quite oblivious at best of times 😂 hopefully our paths will cross again as we are hoping to get around all the South Yorkshire parkruns and we can say hello. Best of luck with the injury, I know can be so frustrating, hope it gets sorted out quickly 🤞🏼
Yeah not crazy though with 374 participants. Starting a ways back and not being able to to see anything other than the bodies in front made for a busier looking run. I reckon it added 30 secs to my time so not too bad. 900 is madness. I’m looking forward to doing the Birkenhead parkrun, did the road relays there about 5 years ago and loved it, nice wide paths from what I remember
@TheRunningWhale Yeah, it's a good one, usually. Lovely start. Nice slight downhill for about half a mile, which I think is why it's relatively quick and popular. Thanks for the videos throughout the year, and all the best for 2025!

@ Well Mandy, it’s entirely up to you, but I truly believe you could, without a major ramp up in your training. Happy to support you in your goals😊
Great to see you guys. Happy New Year when it comes. Definitely would like to hear how Sister Mandy gets on between parkruns. 👍🏻❤️
Haha awesome 1 vote for I think we might be good to go hehe

Well ran, guys, and great time, Mandy 🎉
Thanks Shara, I was quite happy with that today 😊
Thanks Shara, just watching yours atm 👌

oh I do like a foggy misty morning run its how I started running in the dark mist so no one can see my gingerness lol 🤣well done on smashing it Mandy
Thank you 😊
Haha my grandad used to say going out in those conditions made it worse 😂😂 had me convinced mum left me outside like an old bike as a baby lol
@@TheRunningWhale 😱😱 made what worse?
@@Ruffnreddyrunner my gingerness lol he was trying to say I was rusting. Comedy was way different back then 😂
@ yeah it was good comedy the older I get the more I feel like Alf garnet 😂
Looked a busy one, but at least it spread out after a while. Birkenhead Parkrun had close to 900 finishers today. Packed all the way!

That’s 2x yes now so I’ll get the mini DJI charging haha
Thank you 🤦🏽♀️ 😂
