Cheers Craig. Great video. What a funny, happy into that was. 😆🤣😆 Ran Scunthorpe parkrun way back in May 2017. Can’t remember too much about the course. Wishing you, Mandy and family the happiest of Christmases and I’ll look forward to seeing which parkrun you do. Thanks again.
Thank you Colin, it was a hilarious morning all round, by the time we got to the final intro recording, I think I lost the plot 🤪. ‘‘Twas an enjoyable Parkrun too, narrow paths for starting a way back but wasn’t an issue for long. Hoping to do something ever so slightly different for Christmas Day to make it more like you’re there with us. In the meantime have a very merry Christmas pal 🎄🎅🏃💨
That intro was amazing 🤣 Its always a laugh watching you two bounce off each other but thise laughing fits were something else. That looked a nice park, and a little flatter than the one we did in Oldham 🤣 And that was an most interesting but useless fact about setting off in autumn and finishing in Winter. Love the video Craig. Well done.
Haha thanks, any more takes and we would have had to do an overnight stay 😂😂 I like to think I know what I’m doing when in reality, I’m the king of camera screwups. Yeah it was a good one, felt like we climbed more than we did, but I think that’s because the windy open bits were where the climb (if you can call it that) sections were. You did bang on yesterday matey on your Parkrun 💪
Cheers mate. And we all just make it up as we go along. At least you recorded yours the right way up 🤣 I was watching the footage back last night and am really happy with that run. I think it shows that I've got some better times in me from the recent training. 🤞
great vid as ever, finally smashed the 40 min barrier at Woodhouse, down to 38.38. Have entered a 10k spring cantor next March. Mite have to cut down on the booze and cigs but i will get there. Keep up the good work cheers bob.
Ah mate that’s brilliant and cutting down sounds like a good idea. Focusing on a race will help with that, but baby steps of course, cravings are a bugger as I well know, beat them and you’ll go far mate. Keep us posted please I’d love to know how you get on.
lol cheers. Yeah still wheezing a bit but I think that’s down to lazyarsearitus now. Been really difficult getting back into the swing of things with plenty of life drama thrown in making for about 90% of my excuses. Of course a nice break from work over Christmas is the perfect kickstart. ‘‘Twas a great course and really pleased you’re back to full health 👌💪
Being spontaneous, that’s the way to go Craig😊Looked like a decent course, not that undulating despite the graphic. Was that a Christmas tree in front of you at the end?😂
Cheers Andy. Yeah I think the profile graph was on my side and thought it was lumpier than it actually was 😂 Nice course though, like to do it again when I’m fitter lol Yes I was beaten by a Christmas tree 🎄😂😂😂😂
No reason for you not to, I’m excited for you. 45 minutes is a great achievement. My series about training for 10k with the aim to pb in the 5k half marathon and marathon in 2025 is my focus but with being injured and ill, it’s slowed that down but back at it Boxing Day to essentially get under 3.50 for the marathon, under 1.36 for the half and under 21 for the 5k. Should be a good year 💪 Keep us posted on the progress and where you might be doing your races 🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️💨💨
@TheRunningWhale Those are amazing times. I'll use your progress to spur me on ☺ I've not done much racing but my favourite so far has been the BTR Wirral 10K in New Brighton. Flat and fast, with great views over the Mersey (for those not hammering it!).
Cheers Craig. Great video. What a funny, happy into that was. 😆🤣😆

@ 100% can see it’s making all the difference
Oh no, I'd have been gutted after taking a picture instead of a video, and having to redo it all again 😅
Have a great Christmas both of you 🙂🎄🎅
Haha I’d have been even more so had I took a photo of the start of the run lol. Hope you have a very merry Christmas pal 🎅🎄

That tune is so catchy😂. Hope you’re finally over the flu chest rubbish thingy. Think I’ve finally shaken it off. Looks a decent course in Scuny 👊

Whamagedon is now over because of Scunthorpe parkrun 😂. Another great outfit, Mandy. Well done, guys 🎄🏃🏻💨
Oh no I’m so sorry you did well 😂 it landed in my lugs at the end of November. Thank you Shara 🎄😊🎅
Thank you ☺️ hope you’ve had a fab Christmas!

Any targets for 2025? Having gone under 50 minutes for the 10K I'm aiming for sub 45. Give myself about a 10% chance but might as well go for it!
