Well done Craig & Mandy. Looks a nice parkrun, with hills and optional hurdle. Another good, solid effort from yourself. Hope the lady who fell was ok. Always makes me sad when I see incidents like this. We’ve all been there. Occasion falls are part of the journey.
Thanks Colin. Yeah I had two this year and while one of them cut me up quite a bit, the thing that hurt most was being seen. You just want to get up and run off. Seeing other people fall always gives me a sinking feeling. Mandy confirmed she got running again. Also Mandy managed another sub 40 on this tough course. Dead chuffed with her 🥰
@@TheRunningWhale Fantastic sub 40 for Mandy. Huge congratulations to her. I’m really pleased for her. 🙂 Ive had a few falls where you just get up with minimal fuss. I don’t count them. On flip side, I’ve have couple of very nasty falls in my 9years of running. DNF’d 25.11 miles into a marathon after fall. Marshal wouldn’t let me complete final mile. Another time I fell 40 miles into a 50 Ultra which resulted in another non-finish. It’s all part of the journey.
I just had a look at where in Sheffield this one is. Seems to be not far from the m1 motorway i go on to get to work. I'll get to it one day. Looks like you enjoyed your visit there mate. The autumn colours always help make a park look nice i think 👍🙂
The colours were stunning, really enjoy this time of year for it. And I really enjoyed this parkrun, definitely worth a trip (especially when its the only place the weather app dowant forecast rain at 9am lol). Think we had about 5 minutes of driving left from exiting the m1 it's that close.
Great effort Craig on that course. The camera doesn't seem to do them hills justice. That long straigh climb after the gates looks a tough one. To be in the 25s on that course is a really good time. Well done!
Cheers Matt. I had today's race in the back of my mind all the time and actually expected nearer 27/8 so really pleased. Guess the training is working 💪
This is one of the favourite parkruns ive done to date, not too busy, uphill and downhill sections. I'm trying to tick as many off as I can but definitely be one of the ones I return to first.
Hey thanks for watching. I get why it would be high on your list. On a good day I reckon you could get a good time here. Defiantly one I’ll come back to 👍
Thank you. Yes it was a tidy climb but the down was a good recovery and only 2 laps made it hurt less. I just didn't want to burn myself out ahead of today's race 🙃
Thanks pal. Yeah, she was back on her feet running in no time. The surface was a little lumpy to start and I think this time of year when we've no idea what's under the leaves, we can be easily caught out. I imagine it was easier than running it but still a great thing to do and nicer than having to stand in one spot marshaling when it's so cold out so kudos to you for doing it, especially at Woodhouse. It's such a nippy course so the temptation to set off running would be hard to fight lol.
Yes it didn't seem like too big of a crowd but I clearly misjudged it. Once I got onto the down section it was nice to open the legs up but held back knowing I had today's 10 miler coming up 👌
Quite enjoy Concord.....it was the first course i ran sub-20 on. The downhill is awesome but the hill is a killer particularly if there's a headwind. Well done 👏
Yes I actually enjoyed it. Don’t know why but we turned up in a right mood but a quick whizz around and we were right as rain. I can imagine a headwind would be prominent on that hill considering how open it all is. Glad we went on a nice day lol. Thanks love x
@TheRunningWhale aww sometimes you just need a nice run. Forgot to say I am a hurdler of the barrier lol even though I always think I'll leg myself up on it 😂
I use Telemetry Overlay and import my fit file from Garmin and export as a transparent video which can then overlay my video. The camera I used here was the DJI action 5 pro but usually I use the insta360 Ace Pro 👍
@ Thanks very useful! If you ever have the time, would be great if you could do a brief video explaining how you set this up. Pretty much a novice with these types of things! Thanks!

Well run. You overtook me on the final climb at 23:40. Very sustained uphill that one.
Thank you and if I overtook you coming up the hill, thanks for spurring me on, tough little bugger that one. 😳 lol

Well done you two! 🎉❤
Thank you Linda, it was a strong day for us both 💪 x
Thank you Linda 😊
In the 25s, well done Craig. Best time of the year to run I think. Like a tarmac path😊
It is a great time of the year to run, but getting to the start line in the chilly air makes it all the more difficult. Cheers Andy 😊
Well done both! Looked tough on that elevation !
Thank you Jenny. It was tough but just two laps made it sting a little less lol 😆
Solid effort. Looks a tough finish largely uphill.
Thank you. Yes it was a tidy climb but the down was a good recovery and only 2 laps made it hurt less. I just didn't want to burn myself out ahead of today's race 🙃
Hope the faller was okay. Great vid as ever. Did the Tail walking at Woodhouse for the first time. Easier than running but not as rewarding. Cheers

Looked a bit congested at the start Craig. But you seem to be getting a bit mor comfortable with the faster parts?
Yes it didn't seem like too big of a crowd but I clearly misjudged it. Once I got onto the down section it was nice to open the legs up but held back knowing I had today's 10 miler coming up 👌

@vickyshaw1709 haha I’ve just no idea how you have the nerves to. I’d definitely be planted face first if I even thought of trying it 😂
How do you get the speed, course profile and other stats on your video? Very cool, would like to give it a go myself! Also what camera are you using?

@ I had thought about this before as I get asked quite a bit. Watch out for a video in the coming week or so 👌
@ Great thanks very much. Keep up the good work 👍
