Her approach to romance is more subtle and low-key compared to Freya, because she can afford to be - guess that's the perks of already being a bosom friend!! She knows that Elise knows that she is already halfway in love with her. Freya takes a more 'offensive' approach because she has to make up for damage already done from her mistreatment of Elise - that's why she ends up cuddling with Elise far more often than the other two girls😂😂
@sweatpants5065 Yeah, Freya's quite charming as well. No surprise that the fandom seems to be split into Leb shippers and Freya shippers. It's a bit of a shame that Freya lacks plot relevance - she doesn't even appear in the canon ending.
If you have the Japanese dub on while playing, the girls will use significantly different expressions when confessing their feelings on their final date Rozenmarine : Suki Freya : Daisuki Lebkuchen : Aishiteru (Wow!!!) Rozenmarine has only met Elise the previous Saturday, so she uses the most casual term of endearment. Roughly means 'I like you'. Freya, who has been harboring a crush on Elise for some time, uses probably the go-to expression for expressing romantic love. Means 'I really love you'. As for Lebkuchen, wow.... 'Aishiteru' is an expression you'll almost never hear among couples, because it is an incredibly over-the-top expression that would usually sound insincere - it implies that the other partner is their one and only love in this lifetime, and perhaps for several lifetimes to come!! Not surprising, though, when you consider that Elise is both her bosom friend AND soulmate. At this point, Leb probably values Elise's life over her own - unless Elise happens to be dealing with the devil himself, of course 😢😢 (Her bad ending, where she weeps and screams at Elise's betrayal "I loved you, Elise! H-how I loved you!" was arguably the most emotionally devastating one, though Freya's was almost as tear-jerking)
Someone did point it out is that when they’re dying, the girls crying out is who the important to them. Rozenmarine is crying out for the grandmother, Freya is crying out for her father, and Leb is crying out for Elise, and here I thought it would be her granny. I think out of all town, Elise seems very important her, like she trust her the most out of villagers.
@unlucky-me1791 Yeah, probably because Granny Gretel isn't her actual grandmother - it's mentioned that Leb was a church foundling initially taken in by Father Hans. Leb's bad ending is really painful because her whole character arc underscores just how powerful her bond with Elise is - most of her dates involve the two girls reminiscing all the good times they had growing up together. Elise's internal monologue is also notably less selfish whenever Leb is involved because she thinks of Leb as family, not a mere friend. Elise's reaction in the epilogue says it all. She's bitterly regretful over losing Rozenmarine and tearfully apologizes to Freya for selling her out, but with Lebkuchen she actually gives up her life of luxury to become a nun and thinks herself unworthy of salvation - in fact, she doesn't mind dying if it means that she can be reunited with Leb.
@@DanielH.-sg8oo Notable that during the fight with the snake demon where it turns into Elise's love interests and forces her to answer honestly how she feels about them, Elise admits that the _only_ reason she is still in Kieferberg is because of Lebkuchen. The only reason she has to stay in a place she hates is because she cares about Leb that much, regardless of what route you are on. Kieferberg connects Elise and Lebkuchen and that's why Leb's ending is the only one where they return to Kieferberg and actually _fix_ the place. Making their childhood home a real home.
Not sure if I just missed it, but the second extra dialogue when you're going to the woods with your love interest (not just lebkuchen) is different if you didn't obtain their token (so there's three bits of extra dialogue)
In the 'kiss of judas' ending what happened to the soul of elise, does she goes to heaven with lebkuchen or damned to hell? Initially I thought she would go to heaven with lebkuchen but after some thinking I'm beginning to have doubt
It is not confirmed of course, but judging by the secret of getting all golden maidens Elise probably becomes one of them in all endings where she passes away and her body isnt taken by Walpurga, exepct the cannon one thanks to the pocket mirror protecting her from Ozzy. Thats my speculation at least
honestly, I don´t that that´s Lebkuchen in the ending, I think that Ozzy fucking with Elise in the form of Lebkuchen, like taking the form of the person Elise loves the most in her final moments only to crush her in the very end
Leb has W rizz like she had me blushin and kicking my feet when I was playing
REALLL she's baby girl

it would be extra angsty if she actually goes to hell and never get to meet lebkuchen ever again even in the afterlife

@@umbrabestia5629 that's a very messed up ending that I wish is not true

how do you get the auto da-fe ending for lebkuchen? im a little bit lost.
Same as Freya, you need to take her for the last date but not adquire the good company, the other testaments must be correct
