One person winning the Jelly isn't the problem. As Dev notes, the problem is 2nd and lower place gets NOTHING of value. One burns thousands of resources and get rewards in the tens. So frustrating, I did it twice and will not be doing it again.
Really think it's time the jelly sourcing was improved further. It's such a bottleneck in the game, especially having virtually no chance at ops 39 in competing with level 40+ in auctions. Without access to 3* territory, essentially completely reliant on epic armada chest pulls, which is crazy.
One thing to be aware of - Ops 42 takes more than 20K unc 4* Ore. Dont go crazy with your jelly too early. T4 will let you grind your dailies effortlessly

I however am not spending resources on upgrades for it. It looks like the Jelly Brawl event payouts don't change with ISS Jellyfish Tier as mine is T1 and event has same payouts. I'm plowing those resources into upgrading ops to work towards getting the 4* uncommon ships. But I recommend people do try to get a jelly to get the Brawl event for mats.

Skip the common 4 star faction ships and use the jellyfish to carry you to 4 star rare, I'm ops 43, stopping at 46 to get my rare Korinar, but the jellyfish is much cheaper to repair than a 4 star common, my jellyfish is to, thinking of building another to score in events, it is also a hostile monster
It's important to note that in the jelly event where you get bp's that there is no apparent level cap. I was going to try for it, but not much I can do against mid-40s players.
I got ISS jelly from epic chests but didn't upgrade at all, but used for brawl event and didn't need it any bigger. Managed everything with T6 augur until 42 and then built valdore which saved me bucks of mats for valdore upgrades and straight away had more warp range than jelly
I used zero of my own cash for this btw..... Saved Rom credits for ages for Valdy and all armada credits for jelly were earned in game or from places on others armadas
I'm L40 with Ops 41 upgrade in progress and don't have a Jelly and at the moment I don't feel like I've missed out on anything. My alliance doesn't have access to a 3* territory or whales to run epic armadas for us so it's hard to get the Jelly BPs and I'm not paying for it. I already have all my Valdore BPs ready to build it at 42 so a Jelly at this point would probably just eat in to resources saved up for Valdore. I would put the Jelly in the "It would be nice" category but don't think it's a "must have".
The timing of this video is amazing. I literally just got mine today, unfortunately at work so I haven't taken it out on its maiden voyage but I'm sure it will shoot lots of reds.
Server 14 - 3.6M for spot 5, 6.5M for spot 2, 8.2 got spot 1 - 42/42/40/43/41 -> L39 - My big upgrade would have gotten me 1.1M, clearly Jelly Pursuit is not for us L39s... so Epic Armada Chest pulls it is... (and hopefully 5 shards a week when we get a 3*).
Via event Jellyfish is almost impossible on my server. 1 place gets the blueprints. For now I'm using discovery or franklin-a ships to get into dark space - summon ship like tier 5 enterprise, gladius tier 8 or intrepid tier 8 for grinding there

If I had a dollar for every different opinion I've heard re: the ISS Jelly, I could afford to buy one and max it out. 🤣 I'm planning on getting one because, ship-wise, I've outrun my headlights. I'm L40 and still don't even have my 3* epic ships maxed. I don't have a way to get my station positioned so I can participate in DS epic armadas, so from my perspective, the Jelly fills that role to a T. I see it as an Armada ship and some of what Rev noted re: grinding, but that's about it. It's all about that warp range and it's value as an armada ship for me.
Got one and bps for another, lov it, skipping common 4 star ship and am grinding for 4 star rare, the jellyfish is huge for grinding and is actually much cheaper to repair than 4 star common faction I'm stopping at 44 to get all research up to date before pushing to 46
Though you commented on the range you didn't mention how it will allow you to stay in DS for longer periods of time or go to DS and basically not move your base or use your Disco as much. For me this has been one of the biggest boons to having my Jelly.
Server 134 only rewards the top 3 in the Jellyfish Pursuit event. We’ve also just gone through a server merge, so the amount of people competing has doubled in the past month. I spent a fair amount of uc & rare and barely broke the top 100. The winner finished with over 4.6m points. I don’t see any F2P player winning this thing. Back to epic armada grinding I go.
What are your thoughts on the Unity event (BP)? I feel it is geared way too much toward lower lvl alliances and is a slog to do at lvl 30+ if you arent on 24/7. It needs some fixes imo.
i would recommend taking your jelly to t6 after that leave it, at t6 you should be able to solo uc39 armadas mine is t7 but im not bothered pushing it any more. i use my kelvin way more nowadays
Hi I think you need the Jelly for when you get to admired to do your dailies unless you have a lv8 enterprise augur or d4. You also need for the Jellyfish events? I think which is key for the Valdore. So as crap as the Jellyfish is at pvp it is needed a tier 2 or above to get to your first 42 ship sadly.
The valdore, while considered the best lvl 42 ship, is not recommended to be heavily upgraded if you get it at all, if you have a high tier g3 epic its recommended to use that and save for a lvl 46 ship
At no time did I win jelly event to win any shards but my epic pulls were good. Will the weekly shards of the TC, 2 weeks after I hit 39 I got my ISS Jelly and was able to tier it up to tier 3 within 2 months.
I'm very curious how diffucult (or not) it is/feels these day to get it! I'm a good way into my 35 camp, soon it's time to move up. Got a lot of epic armada loot saved up, who knows maybe I'm lucky ;)
For f2p jelly is useless.. you spend lots of resources on it and don't give you long warp range nor power.. with resources to get it to tier 7-8 you'll get a valdore to tier 5-6 maybe, witch is way better. Unless you spend for several packs to get ops to 46 in a reasonable time and get a rare ship, I see no reason to upgrade it, just get it and can do event with a lvl5 one 😀

Recently found a huge bug games not applying the pure gas crystal and ore researches well it is but it turns them off when you go to upgrade making it cost more in them resources and it’s reverting pure trit down a lvl or 2 at the same time making you spend million more trit than it says on the ship upgrade
Bidding for Jelly bps is not working out for me very well. I'm at lvl 37 so I have some time, AND I have enough epic armada credits for at least 8 pulls (right now). I have 32/120.
Id love to get it but i believe last winner was over 1m pts. I could save up and not upgrade anything for 6 months and maybe get 3rd. I don't understand how a 41(at 38 i was getting 41s in my bracket) can spend over 100k mats. I've gotten 12bps from epic armada chests. You also say that officers are more important than ships. I will spend mats on those leaderboards and ignore the jelly.
A Million? I wish! I finishe just under 4 million in the Jelly brawl and came 3rd, the winner put in over 6 million and 2nd was over 5 million. I am NOT doing that again... with only 1 winner and no benefit for placing it's just too risky.

Problem on our server is same guy keeps winning only spot think he has 3 now but he has valdore so has never built the jelly so keeps being allowed to win more frustrating. He's ops 44 now
Reality is you need the ISS Jelly because there is big gap from 3* Epics to 4* Faction ships like the Kelvin or Valdore. You need the Jelly for missions up to LVL 42, for Jelly Brawl, for that Parabellum event, and to grind hostiles before LVL 42 where you can get your epics that extra 5 warp range.
Hey Rev: I'm an ops 33 player already collecting broken 4* survey and explorer parts. How viable is the refinery when it comes to ship parts, when I get to that point?
i am actually kinda rushing to ops 39 (because everyone is hugging each other on the server and there are 0 conflicts, barely regular pvp anyways) to unlock and build the jellyfish and i dont even have any epic ship unlocked so far. because when it comes to unlocking a really strong ship, the jellyfish is the easiest to unlock (via the speedrush event) compared to the tons of armada directives you need to buy (at some point) and hope for a full pull from the chests
Also disagree on holding at 39 you need so much 4 star common and uncommon you need to just upgrade. There are no disadvantages on going to lv40 like there used to be. Following revs advice on this is now completely wrong happy to set up a chat with rev to prove why. You still get 3 star now which Rev thinks is not the case.
I agree. Better to jump to the low 40s and get to work saving up 4*. Events still pay out 3* materials as well and the months of speed-ups every week from max disco refinery help catch up in areas where you're falling behind.
I speed rushed to 41… this is where the payouts from the Frank A, Disco refinery and now events are so much better than at 39. No issues with 3star refinery. UltimateDJ did a show a month ago on this and I am glad I took the leap forward. And as far as the Jelly, just got one and using 4 star materials was a big help in securing during the Jelly event.
Have you farmed transports with it? Be sure you play to its strength which is in LONG battles...it needs a lot of health and defense...great for armadas...don't bother in PVP for the most part, but we know that.

4.6 M is nothing 😂 at 180 without a merge and a fairly new server 1 year old server 1st place was over 6M 😅
Top 3 we’re just under 7mill on our server… I’m not going to go for it - it will come in time from territory store + Armadas pulls eventually.
Well then, it would appear that the problem is quite egregious and widespread. You know what this calls for? Another form of currency!
Roughly 12m to win on my server. Only option for me is the chests as don't have a 3* territory. I'm now at 10 shards so a long way to go
So server 24 has two positions for full BPs … I got second at 5 mil and the guy in first passed me with 5 minutes to go and pushed to 7 mil.
I'd like one, hell, a wrecked constellation skin for it is fun.
You need it for grinding hostiles in Ds. The alternative is moving your base to Ds hub, which severely effects your game play.
My T6 Jelly can't reach the warp 120 hub to do my faction dailies. I use my disco to summon my max Enterprise for my dailies.

I've been at it for a year and only at 59 bps. Every full pull epic chest gives me 1-3 bps. But maybe one more year and she maybe mine.
In 2024 it still is worth the grind that's 200%sure

My server opened ops 40 very late so the whales at my server have jellys upto tier 7 and with warp speeds of 30+ .

I was very very bad and didn't camp at level 39. I fuuked up bad as I can't get 3* in events now.
Hey Rev, my alliance had a discussion about skipping 34 ships and using t9 salla to get to ops 39 and then go for the jelly. What you think?

Here are my thoughts: It is WAAAAY more fun getting to the 30s than being in the 30s. Eff ISS Jelly lol
Also disagree on holding at 39 you need so much 4 star common and uncommon you need to just upgrade. There are no disadvantages on going to lv40 like there used to be. Following revs advice on this is now completely wrong happy to set up a chat with rev to prove why. You still get 3 star now which Rev thinks is not the case.
What's the advantage of jumping to 40 vs staying at 39 then?
I agree. Better to jump to the low 40s and get to work saving up 4*. Events still pay out 3* materials as well and the months of speed-ups every week from max disco refinery help catch up in areas where you're falling behind.
I speed rushed to 41… this is where the payouts from the Frank A, Disco refinery and now events are so much better than at 39. No issues with 3star refinery. UltimateDJ did a show a month ago on this and I am glad I took the leap forward. And as far as the Jelly, just got one and using 4 star materials was a big help in securing during the Jelly event.
Does this hold true for f2p or mostly f2p players?

This ship was one of the biggest let downs in the game for me. Was soo stoked to get it then to find out it’s basically worthless
Have you farmed transports with it? Be sure you play to its strength which is in LONG battles...it needs a lot of health and defense...great for armadas...don't bother in PVP for the most part, but we know that.
