Rescue attempt is another one to crew for. 3 hour speed ups, using 3 rares (TOS Sulo, Chang, Leonard McCoy) you can get 70% crit chance and 250+ 3 hour speed ups easy. ~30 days of speed ups is super nice at high levels to save on Lat.
The secret to away teams is to always have them working. Save your vital crews for your ships but everyone you are not using should be doing away missions
That's what puzzles me as well. How an earth does he have so many away team speed ups? I'm lvl 49 and I barely have enough to speed up one or two missions a day.
@@evh3811he doesn't get them cause he is a content creator - he gets them from battle passes and packs but most importantly, he 'gets" them by not spending them much and so over time they keep increasing...
Especially as f2p Form Trade Agreement is the biggest must these days. (Maxed it to crit 100% of the time myself when I got into g5, the cost is worth there even if they are all epic officers). You can get plenty of faction credits through the Voyager loop, but latinum will be forever needed. Lead Expedition quickly fell off due to Voyager loop also. So better leave them open for a refresh that potentially is another Form Trade Agreement.😊 At g5there are some none-rainbow new epic missions that are also worth. Like an exp that reduces parteel cost of buildings for a while. Officer promotion if you want to max everyone is more limited to officer xp imho (kinda but mostly how much you are willing to grind). But if you pick only the useful ones, neither is an issue
there is not such thing as plenty of faction credits, You need tons for g4/g5 ships and don't forget there is a good amount you need to promote officers.
@@kevinwilliamson7158 I can't speak for everyone and I don't kniww where you are at but for me and many of my alliance members the only thing that still matters are independent credits which is sourced through borg/talios loop. For many of us faction credits don't matter. This includes going for epic factionships. I'm aiming at a Rota once I get there and I'll easily get a mil+ factioncredits before that. If you do the Voyager loop with messages it's 1k a day, every day! That's on top of all other events.
"Lead Expedition" is 100% getting me my Kelvin. That isn't aspirational or exaggeration. I have enough away team credits to get myself a Kelvin and am getting one through the away team store alone. Absolutely valuable source of credits of many types.
Amen. I didn't build the Kelvin but my K't'inga, Pilum, USS Newton came with a lot of help from that ATA. I personally use Ahvix over Pan though. Ahvix has the needed stat for the mission so that equals just a bit more AT credits per run.
Speaking as the unicorn that is the true f2p g5 player, I can say that, even though the amount of lat you need is massive, I will GLADLY take my nearly daily drip of lat which comes from Form Trade Agreement, which has been Eury/Troi/Riker for me for literally YEARS 😅
Hi Rev. Been doing Away Teams since you recommended it. Did not notice the new sorting. Just used up my ultra tokens and got some great lucky pulls. Awesome video, as usual.
One of the issues with using kelvin kirk and gorkon is that they are used a lot for other things KSK is still at 49 a go to crew for a lot of armadas and gorkon is used daily for freebooter grinding. Having them tied up for 24hrs is not good. For klingon faction mission azetbur and freeman using 7 gives you the other trait needed (az and 7 are easy yo max too) gives the same 3 traits. TOS kirk gives the same trait as the kelvin kirk and a better option IMO. I do need to work on riker and troi now though.
KSK at ops 49 is only used on stella. For that try Rare bev as capt with Ash Tyler and GG. Ash Tyler will ramp up hits better than crits. Once you get Torres at t4 or so or use Lorca then Gorkon is almost on ATA always. His traits line up well with many missions.
I use those same strategies too. I can't give up Gorkon, since I use him daily for Freebooters. I also use Azetbur for that. And I agree with your other point about sourcing. I am level 49 and just barely recently got Lorca. He took forever to get.
YES! I try so hard to advise my alliance on how to make the most of their traits xp but it can be tough. Of course it goes hand in hand with DO BAJOR LOOP to acquire said traits xp!!!
I really enjoyed this one there's a lot of good tips that I never thought about. also you forgot to mention that on a mission that has officers shards if that officer is all ready max and you hit a critical you get nothing because they do no transfer into transporter patterns.
This is great except I still use some of these officers on ships, nero, kirk, ect.... and I am always so reluctant to tie them up, especially since I don't have the speedups available you do.
I'm working on getting a 2nd lead expedition crew together because I've noticed they often spawn 2 sometimes 3 at a time and I don't have thousands of speed ups saved. I love Time Heist as it's gotten my Burnham boosted quite a bit. Just unlocked OG Epic Data last week. Empathic is one trait I don't have yet, it's high on the priority list. You mentioned the Bajoran loot chest but didn't focus on it. Definitely the best source for Away team xp. By triple pulling that chest you get 8700 away team xp per week. The one bottleneck I'm at right now is on Epic officers I've spent up to 15k for a single upgrade but I am holding on the 23k upgrades so that I can fill out the other office traits first.
Though not a "rainbow" mission I run officer training mission when its up with 100% succces a guaranteed 2,5k trait xp and when it crits 6.4K AT store creds, using Ba'el, burnham Decius
At Ops 54 (not sure when it started) the missions with building/research speed ups have gotten to a decent amount. So I have gotten officers setup for Rescue Attempt like you see in the video background to get a few hundred 3hr speed ups from it. There is even a Speed Up normal with Lat Crit that for me at least is a decent amount of lat. I also make an effort to chase any Officer/Ship XP research but usually with lower officers not my top because they don't really bump the amount received enough to feel worthwhile. I also don't try to crit those either. There is also one that gives Away Team Trait XP with a crit of ATA credits that I always chase as well. Finally at 51+ with the Intelligence credit (highly recommend NOT chasing till you have all super highways done). But they ALWAYS use Mudd1 (Skinny Mudd) for 3 stats, and then depending on which faction intelligence is needed, one of the officers from that faction. They're 3 days though, but some of the exocomps it gives are worth it. Think it takes 53 or 54 to get the good ones like +Impulse and +Construction efficiency. Also there are 3 and 5 day faction credit rares and epics that start popping in the 50s that are great to chase as well. I know these might be out of reach of most players, but always consider XP, lat bearing, and speed up granting ATA, weigh the reward to your officers used. Also make sure once it appears to start doing some of the Epic Service Medal and Epic ATA startup so you can have a good supply of those as well.
Thanks Rev. I was sitting on 112k of ultra tokens so just spent them. Got three full pulls of Kuron, one FP for TOS Scotty and a FP for 5/11 which takes her to T4 for me. Quite happy about 5/11.
Yeah, that was driving me nuts seeing him do that. Of course the way he was intentionally fumbling around on the Crew Presets video to try to demonstrate why he thought it wasn't a useful feature (when it's a Godsend!) made me feel the same way.
In the thirties you need to do the 4 hour away team every day to get trait pts and every week spend those on the away team events. That way you won’t need those away team speed ups.
My away teams is broken. I get the same missions every single day. I seem to only get 2 lead expedition missions every day. It never changes even if I refresh

away team credits/store need an INSANE amount of work. I even tried using it for scrap builds but even that takes forever to collect enough prints. ATA's have some good stuff and worth while to work on... ignore the store or creds imo.
Epic Data has Android as an epic trait. Ent-E Data is a rare officer with Android as a rare trait. Is there a difference between the epic and rare Android trait? If you max out the rare android trait, did you just save yourself 300k Trait XP by not having to max out Android at epic level?
They count as the same trait, Scopely messed up the traits on a few Ent-E officers, and mixed them up. So you can get the traits for cheaper, but there are also some that turn out more expensive too.
