It seems like LDV and many low end car manufacturers are doing is trying to use the move over to electric as a way to reposition their brand more towards the mid to higher end of the market. It will be interesting to see whether the consumer agrees with it or not

I agree, this is expensive for an LDV. This vehicle should be priced at $70k if they want to move volume.

@@transmission010 Agree, there's absolutely no justification for this car to be over 100k. It should be $70k fully loaded. As such, no I don't think it will be doing well until significant price drops

So I just started looking at the MIFA. I’m torn between the petrol and electric variant. Is there any date for release for electric models?

how about this feature comparison at 10:07? The features are all the same, how can we work out why to pay and extra 25k for the Luxe version? The only different feature it has is worse efficiency!

Great to see a full-size EV people mover in the market finally. However Kia Carnival Platinum drive away is a bargain at $72,000. LDV BASE MODEL is $34,000 more. That’s 47% extra for an EV with inferior warranty. Tough sell!

I think the prices are for show... they sell this car for 55k in China, and apparently LDV also sell this car in NZ for 80K Nzd. Maybe Aus distros are too greedy.

They should have made this plug in hyrid, 100 km pure electrice range should enough for weekly family duties. Use fuel on longer road trips. That way they should be able to use just a 30wkh battery and bring the cos down to 78K mark and they should be able to sell alot more cars.

The ID Buzz is also very inefficent and lacking in range. Also it is more expensive. (Based on info from a UK testing site).
The Buzz looks bucket loads nicer than the LDV and quality of fit and finish is superior.
Put 7 people in either and 30kWh/100km will be the norm.
