yeah because... GRAPHICS are the most important part of a game, the story, or side quests dont matter at all

I agree that the bat mobile and tank shooting sections were mind-bogglingly repetitive but it had a bit of variation to keep me somewhat interested. The gameplay was as great as ever being batman and it was definitely a huge step up from AC. The story was maybe on par withAC but not better than asylum. I can't say this wasn't a good game, though, very enjoyable after they made it playable on PC. I would say it is as good as AC in its own way.
Sgt. Frosting I played each one and I still thoroughly enjoyed AK. It's definitely not as good as the first two, but its still a fantastic game imo.

Yes. I have slightly less powerful PC than yours [mine is gtx960] and i just finished the game using high settings [not the highest setting of course]. No problems throughout...

It's a franchise there's four of them, even though arkham origins isn't made from Rocksteady. But yes, I agree with you.

My main complaint was the lack of boss fights. There's practically none. Unless you count the vehicle battles. Which I honestly don't.

After almost 6 years since release, this is still an incredibly beautiful game. Currently on yet another Arkham playthrough and damn it has aged extremely well.
Its aged well because it practically runs like a next gen game.
Yeah, I'm just recently getting into it in 2022 and the graphics are on par with the most recently released games... I'm really surprised.

AA: sets good stage for whats to cone but has a few minor issues
AC: polishes issues and makes game people consider the best
AK: provides satisfying conclusion to trilogy but has a couple nitpicks that fans love to point out

This isn't the first time Batman has ever had a tank-like batmobile, the Dark Knight Returns for instance. Also glad that Joker came back (probably in a scarecrow hallucination) and MAN-BAT, I had no idea he was even in this.

People should not take reviews to decide to buy a game or not (unless that review tells you that a game is broken, in that case we don't buy it).
Reviews are 'Opinions', a review from IGN might give a game '10' but maybe you won't even like it and think it's just a '6' or a '7' and vice versa, Some games that are given '6's and '7's, in your opinion, might be a '9' or '10'. What i want to say is that YOU should review the game for yourself, i know people who hate The Witcher 3 despite the reviews it got.
Arkham Knight might be a '10' to you and a '7' to another. Just because IGN/Polygon gave it a '9.2' and '10' doesn't mean it's a complete MASTERPIECE and when Gamespot gives it a '7' doesn't mean it's a Disappointment (but still good).
AssassinsDen4 almost every critic say the same thing with IGN/Polygon and the reviewer from gamespot are the same guy giving witcher 3 solid 10/10 so i find it hard to believe gamespot.

That doesn't necessarily mean that you'll ultimately agree with the reviews, but that's okay. Reviews are really just recommendations; it's ultimately up to the consumer. They shouldn't be disregarded outright.
I tend to listen out for specific things across reviews. That way you'll know whether the game's for you. With this one, the reservations I've had for some time have been verified by a number of reviews today. Gamespots reviewers opinion just seemed attuned to mine. Cancelled my preorder now, not because of a score but because the things I don't like are clearly there. I'll buy it down the road
AssassinsDen4 That being said, and being correct, most people don't have the time or money to review a game for themselves. In an ideal world they would, but I can't risk spending $60 on something without knowing beforehand the likelihood of me liking it. In that situation, that's where reviews come in handy. They give you detailed opinions that you can compare to your own tests to make an educated guess about a purchasing decision.

Huhmasta No shit, moron. Thing is, Red Hood is a DLC story pack exclusive. They never revealed that Jason Todd was to take part on the main storyline. That only gives more credit to the theory that he is in fact that certain character.
Jason Todd is an original character to the Arkhamverse, as he has not appeared before. Rocksteady didn't lie, they're just better at diverting the attention of players than most.

Back to playing this game.. when it first came out it got overshadowed by The Witcher so I never finished it.. then kinda forgot about it.... Just popped it in the other day now I can't stop playing it... its really a wonderful well made game. Graphics, gameplay, action, new additions... really really amazing

Just played this game and i'm still suffering from Bat orgasm . This game rocks
PC version:
-locked 30 fps (you can unlock in an .ini file though)
-dips to sub 20 fps on high-end gpus like 970 and 980 ROFL
-stuttering all over the place
-65% of the steam reviews are negative, all about technical issues

the first 2 hours is a little heavy on the batmobile but after that it's a fluid, incredibly excellent game. My favorite so far. get passed the first 2 hours which isn't bad at all and then you'll be rewarded. trust me

XMOJOSHADOWX Witcher 3 was just 7/10 game so all those reviews are worthless and i'm sure batman will be much better than overrated w3, which if you remove plot/dialogues/story you will get horrible 3/10 game with dull/boring/tendious combat mechanics, bad graphics, horrible optimization, boring side quest missions which always are they same minus various dialogues in them, pretty dull world one exception is Skellige, also they recycled a lot of monsters (i fought vs witches like 8 times they just increase level and that's it) and weapons + armors., bad level scalling - dog lvl10 which looks the same as lvl1 can instagib you with one hit. Also kb+m controls was unresponsive and annoying to use, and also inventory and ui was created for consoles.

Batman Arkham Knight is so much fun to play just like the other Batmangames from Rocksteady :) .I loved to drive the Batmobile and i love everything about the game like the fightingmechanics, fear takedown, the gadgets and the use of the Detectivevision .

I finished the game 100% although I struggled a bit from the riddler trophies and collectibles, it was still kinda fun though, some people who says the batmobile is overused are probably exaggerating it, or maybe I just enjoyed using it. Then again I can't deny that its lacking boss battles, the sad part is that I can't download the DLC missions because I got no internet in my room.
Missed this game when it originally came out and playing it now. Loving it. It’s pretty damn fun. Lots of variety of stuff to do.

I don't think Gamespot even complained about anything else. Every other review was 8.5/10 - 10/10 but Gamespot gave it a 7, and it kind of sticks out.
That's why people are "hating on gamespot's review".

Just finished this game and i think it was easily the best in the series, not revolutionary but its so deep and dark and the story is easilyyyyy the best batman story ever. just incredible.

About to buy my first ever PS4 just to play this game. I'm in my 50s and bought a PS3 last year cheap to see if I'd like playing its games. Played 'The Last of Us' first and fell in love with the PlayStation thereafter. The Arkham games have kept me entertained (yes, _and_ Origins) for almost a year, but now it's time to to move up to the PS4. Can't wait!
