      I did a 6-week internship at my dog's veterinarian. All went well for the first three weeks, and then I had to assist him in the operating room. I saw blood and passed out. Like a wuss, I went down. Needless to say that I didn't get the best grade😢😢😢😢😢. Nevertheless, I continued and successfully assisted in the OR. We couldn't figure out why this happened wasn't like I saw blood for the first time. It was most likely the air in the OR.
      I switched over to humans, phlebotomy, infant immunization, and typing the Dr.'s notes. I did this for 6 months and really enjoyed it. 35:01 😮
      It hurts my heart when when I see any furbuddies in distress, I just couldn't do it,because it ripped my heart out.
      😢😢😢
      Don't get me wrong, if I would have to, I 35:05 would assist in time of need and do everything possible for the innocent furbaby, I just couldn't do full-time. It's so sad seeing an injured furbaby chokes me and I start crying, so I'm not going to start something I know I can't do. 😢😢😢❤😢❤

      My dad had major spinal surgery on my first day of 3rd grade and my sister's first day of 5th grade... And kids weren't allowed to visit at that hospital. If he had been at the local hospital we could have, but Hartford Hospital (Connecticut) had strict rules... so I get how Reggie's family felt...

    I’m dying with the giggles. I grew up in a very rural part of Utah. We had cattle dogs that never learned. They always were guilty of cornering skunks in our garage, by the screened back porch, or underneath our bedroom windows. Of course their eagerness led to our misfortune. We kids finally put our collective feet down and refused to go to church on the Sundays following the dogs’ sprees with a skunk’s sprays. No one wanted to be near us as they gagged, while waving their hands in front of their noses. We were humiliated. The skunks win every time.

      Skunk odor remover, better than anything you can buy. And tomato juice does not work at all.
      1 qt hydrogen peroxide, regular drug store strength
      1 tsp dish soap
      1/4 cup baking soda
      1 Wash dog with regular shampoo.
      Towel dry.
      2 Mix soap & H2O2
      3 At the very last second, add baking soda &
      4 Immediately put foaming liquid on the dog. It is the oxygen bubbling that does the trick neutralizing odor.
      5 After all the bubbling stops, rinse well.
      The coat may be slightly bleached.
      As for your clothes, the peroxide would bleach them. But your skin should benefit from treating the dog. I used this on a curious Cocker Spaniel. TG his coat had been cut quite short at the time. If you dog is large, you may need a double recipe.

      Most European counties don't allow you to remove healthy parts of the animal for convenience or aesthetics (declawing, cropping ears and tails, etc), and this includes descenting ferrets and skunks.

    • @Grobohalic
      @Grobohalic 10 месяцев назад

      I image that it’s a bit of a risky surgery, given all the nerves in the area. I also don’t think it would be necessary at a rescue where they will be in a rescue rather than a home. And even folks who keep skunks as pets often don’t descent them because if they are socialized they are calm around people and don’t spray

      Get proper flea treatment from your vet. Most over-the-counter products don't work.

      Original blue Dawn dish soap. Be careful of stuff in grocery stores or pet stores...sometimes it can cause trouble. If you want flea shampoo, get it from your vet. Ask your vet about other flea treatments, too. I would recommend cutting her hair...
      fewer places for fleas to hide. Get a metal flea comb (plastic ones don't work) & comb all over at least 2x/day. Drown fleas caught in the comb in a cup of soapy water. Wash bedding often in lots of soap & hot water. It'll take awhile, so don't give up!

      I've never had to deal with fleas, so idk what to recommend, you can probably get some flea treatment recommendations from your local vet and a comb; you won't need to cut any hair unless the treatment is not working (aka last case scenario)

    I’m wondering how much some of these owners spend on these more extreme treatments… I really hope they can afford it and not ending up in debt.

    CAN THE SKUNKS HAVE
    THEIR STINK GLANDS REMOVED ÀS WELL AS
    NUTURED /SPAYED.

    • @animeartist888
      @animeartist888 10 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, they can! They're often removed here in the US so they can be better pets. But apparently males still have a bit of odor even without the glands.
