    This episode hit hard. We just put to sleep our cat, Mr. Roo, yesterday after he was diagnosed with stomach cancer on Monday. Everything seemed good until last week he quit eating almost anything and he always loved food.
    I weighed him and he had dropped a pound in 4 days time. Got him in to see our vet and ultrasound found tumor in stomach and another spot on his liver. We're heartbroken.

      It must have been terribly difficult that it happened so fast. Losing a pet to cancer (or anything, really) is always incredibly hard, but it's even more difficult when things happen so suddenly and you only have a few days to figure things out and make decisions. But I'm glad that you did what was best for your beloved family member and kept them out of pain. I'm so sorry for your loss.

    Seeing Katie’s issues breaks my heart. I lost my beloved Ragdoll cat Ollie to pleurisy two years ago. His lungs ballooned up with fluid that just wouldn’t drain away. It was beyond heartbreaking to have him put to sleep. A lifetime of perfect health and we lost him in less that 48 hours. These Coast to Coast vets are phenomenal, people and their pets are so very lucky to have their dedication and expertise.🙏💞🇬🇧

    I had a cat who had mystery abdominal fluid. It wasn't FIP or liver failure or cancer, the ultrasound and bloodwork were inconclusive. The only thing visibly wrong with him was a bad kidney, which doesn't cause that symptom. In the end I just had to have him drained once a month until his kidneys eventually caught up with him. I always said he was running dog software on cat hardware, so of course he ended up with a dog problem.

    I had a cat who started spending all his time in the litter box. First we tried antibiotics, assuming it was a bladder infection, but they didn't do any good. Exploratory surgery showed pretty extensive bladder cancer. The vet phoned me while he was still on the operating table, and we euthanized him while he was still asleep. He was such a neat cat and not very old so it was very sad.

    That poor Rag Doll had classic symptoms of wet FIP. This makes me so angry because there is a cure. That surgery was unnecessary. This baby suffered for a whole month????? That parent would have done anything to help her furr baby. Yes there are "issues" with the treatment but there is a work around that could have saved that cat. I am FUMING

    • @Pythonaria
      @Pythonaria 10 месяцев назад

      Did you actually watch the video? Did you miss the part where the pathology report said it was aggressive CANCER? Even the preliminary tests showed abnormal (cancerous) cells. FYI, the "cure" for FIP isn't 100% yet. Also FIP affects younger cats more. Look it up.

    • @meganpopple9100
      @meganpopple9100 10 месяцев назад +2

      I would like to give the vet the benefit of the doubt and say that perhaps this is his first time seeing a case like this. It seems pretty rare and someone who hasn’t seen it before would have to do lots of testing and sometimes the testing causes problems. So certain, he has learned from this experience and knows better how to react the next time a similar patient comes through.

    • @tenadavidson7392
