Ted and Derek made some great music for sure. Ted just goofing around is awesome. He plays old snippets of songs, then into a jam. One of the best all time here.
Ted one of the coolest American brothers (I'm Canadian), wish there's more like him, I don't give a shit what anybody says about him, he's as most patriotic as you can get. By the way, he loves Canada.
Nugent, IMO, always sounded best live when he had Derek St. Holmes, Rob Grange, and Cliff Davies behind him. I've seen him live 4 different times. With and without these guys, and he's always sounded best with his originals, IMO. One of the 4 times I saw him though, was with Damn Yankees. Phenomenal band with phenomenal talent.
Here I am 16 years after this was posted. Just wondering if the time stamp on the video was wrong. This appears to be Ted’s solo band, but I thought he was deep into Damn Yankees from 1990-1993. 🤷♂️
Up to 2:10, they're rehearsing the recent Damn Yankees hit Coming Of Age, new to Derek at that time when he joined Ted for his solo tour between DY tours. Then at around 6;10 Ted busts out Red House, a ckassic blues number.
One of the best guitarist in the world ever, if not the best. But never gets his due credit thanks to growing injustice called cancel culture. I even thought him as slightly extreme on some views. How wrong I was and how absolutely right he is and has always been!
I can still remember clearly the Nuge jumping off his wall of Marshall's as the curtains rose on June 16, 1976 at Cobo Hall. I still have the ticket stub too.
From The Amboy Dukes until he became my "Uncle Ted", I love Ted Nugent. Arrowhead stadium K.C.,mo. 1978? 79? Anyway there's something about that stadium lol. Go Chiefs!
Uncle Ted Quiz: What guitar is Ted playing in this video.......... PRS or Carvin, or What.? Sounds better than anything I have heard him play before. Nice Red House Ted. Jimi would be impressed.
Ted shreds the same.....ole.....S. He better have it down by now. Jimmy Page, Frank Marino, Jeff Beck, Alvin Lee on n on n on evolved .Theo's playin' the same teenage Catch Scratch Fever S shows today.Kudos to Derek though.
yes - he IS a good player or perhap's he WAS. today imagine him shutting his fuckin' mouth long enought for all of us to know. c'mon Ted impress us properly again
Instead of ragging on Ted Nugent, who is somebody that's accomplished way more with his life than you have I'm sure, learn how to spell. The word enough does not have a t at the end. Also, the word perhaps is not a contraction.
derek st.holmes....THEEE best nugent vocalist!!! no doubt
I'm sure ,even Ted ,would agree.

Nugent is the most imaginative rock guitarist ever and next to Derek's vocals Great music happens !
Got that right, him and Derek were awesome together
Nugent is the dumbest fascist draft dodging pedophile to ever pick up a guitar, and his playing is utterly moronic like everything he says and does
I'm a little late to the party, but thanks for posting. That was awesome! Seeing Ted with Derek is always a great show!
Yeah Ted is a great blues player, I wish he do more on a album.
Love that the opening scene is Ted carrying his bow.
Cool to see the amazing St Holmes.... such an amazing talent, huge part in Ted's inital success !
Nothing beats his signature Byrdland stuff.
I concur,seen Nuge 7 times in Dallas........fffnnn rips.

GBeret83 Dave Kiswiney on Bass was Good and Charlie Was Better Then Dave Amanto
GBeret83 Was Frankie Marino & Mahogany Rush the opening act at all?
1981 or 82 I believe. Bismarck ND. Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush opened for Ted. "I'm a king bee baby" Remember it like yesterday
@@MrJohnnyDistortion I saw Ted in March '81, Sammy Hagar was the lead in.
@@MrJohnnyDistortion saw Frank open for Kansas,I think,Philly Spectrum 1979
Awesomely awesome!! Thanks for sharing!!

Great riffing, the kind of stuff I was weaned on.

Right this second Ted can plug in any amp and guitar and completely kick ass

6:57 I love how Joe Dirt just walks into the frame for no reason.

It's damn Yankees Era Ted!!

They said cows gave sour milk the next day, 15 miles away lmao! Now THATS ROCK&ROLL! Ted mentioned it on Letterman about 1984. Good days indeed!
Never seen him play solid body.....looks like PRS.
Ted Shreads!
TED Loves his "Stranglehold"
He's literally just fuckn off but it sounds so sweet...
Ted's PRS through those high gain Marshalls can't get the clean sounds of the Byrdland through a Fender.
I love the damn yankees in there too--at the begining
coming of age and don't tread on me haha
At 7;20 derricks l.p. goes from cherry burst to tabbacco burst 7:23.

Super Dave 😂😂. Do you go around correcting peoples spelling frequently? Thats sorta weird
JerryRiceBall He probably only corrects stupid people.
He sucks without the Birdland
