I know this will be a triggering video for some, especially since there are triggers involved. This is understandable. But I ask that you go in with an open mind and watch until the end before you make your judgment. Like all of my content, you don't have to agree with what I'm showing (I often don't' agree with what some of my subjects say) but I feel it's necessary to let people speak openly to get a better understanding of where their thought process is coming from.
Years ago I would have seen something like this and said, "wow that's extreme and unnecessary." Now I completely understand the perspective of these guys and get why they are doing what they're doing. And yes this a small percentage of Orthodox Jews that are doing this training and I'm sure some are very much against it. The world is complicated and full of gray zone. Unfortunately, most of our mainstream media covers these complicated human issues like they are black and white while projecting their views of the world over the subjects they're talking to.
My goal is to bring you into a world that you normally wouldn't be getting into to better understand it. If I achieve this then I'm happy. Thanks for coming along :)

@Afzal Mohammad a lot of other of those types of groups are very right-wing and fascist, and would sooner kill them than accept them. That's a possible reason. Also, this serves their exact interests and protects their communities, which is something they need done at the moment.

@@gobic1319 that’s not what regulating in this context means, regulated means trained and disciplined, hence the term for a infantrymen being a “regular” in an army like a British Regular
@@loganbaileysfunwithtrains606 You’re correct as to the Supreme Court interpretation of the term, “regulated”. I think an army “regular” soldier was a full time soldier who lived in a barracks and trained as a member of a fighting unit.
Anyway, thanks for your considered response, I do question the court’s interpretation of “well regulated” however.
Synagogues and Jewish schools in Europe have to have a armed guard for years. Sad that it is becoming the reality in the US.

Too long we have been accountants lawyers… typical stereotypical Jewish “Rick Moranis” type jobs where there is no real training in being able defend our communities..and now it’s time to be able to physically defend ourselves as well.

Worth noting Jewish militias are nothing new. Their were even uprisings in Nazi concentration camps.
True. The most opinionated anti-self defense person suddenly is looking for someone to protect them when a person with murderous intent is in front of them about to murder them. This is what every US citizen should do. What makes America different than any other in the world is that the power is from the bottom up, not the other way around. We have to start taking more responsibility as adults in this society for our freedom and be more engaged including all forms of education. Remember, this is about preservation of life, and self-defense.

Foreigners (mostly anti-guns) watch this. We, like you, are used to listen the pro-gun speach in USA. Yes, we understand very well your point. Nevertheless, we see things differently. That's not the world we want to build.
The right to bear arms for self protection is one thing, but you seem to forget that a well regulated militia was not something that we had back when the framers wrote the constitution, but we do have that now, and even though they can’t be everywhere where are serious threats taking place, one can learn to protect themselves, and even have a firearm without having weapons of war. We are the only industrialized country in the entire world that allow citizens to walk around with AK-47s & other assault type weapons, yet we have the highest rates of mass shootings & gun violence over and over and over again that have just gotten worse. That style of gun needs to be regulated just to our military, imo, as The facts prove they have not made us safer in any way.

@@liseklerekoper2441 You obviously don't understand the purpose of the Second Amendment and you don't have any facts to prove so called assault weapons have not made us any safer. The 2A doesn't restrict us to only firearms that some group thinks will make us safer. Pistols, semi auto pistols, weapons of war, are the most common firearm used in crimes. The so called mass shootings are only a fraction of shootings that happen all of the time. The number of guns has increased over the decades and crime has dropped, despite that. The assault weapons ban from Clinton didn't change the numbers. The 2A is meant to equip the people with the power to resist a tyrannical government as well as defend themselves. Those so called assault weapons and weapons of war are used by any police department who uses rifles. A lever action rifle, 1894 era technology, is still a very capable rifle and would be the next choice for a mass shooter, if semi autos were not available. The truth is that there is no magical point where restrictions would stop gun violence. Talk to real Australians who are not antigun. Gun crimes did not go away. How much of a problem are knives in Europe? Bad enough for talks of knife bans and for there to be restrictions? Yes. Where there is a will, there is a way, and some people have a will to hurt others. Giving up our natural rights, which our country is based on, for the promise of a somewhat safer (but not guaranteed) country is plain stupid. History has proven what happens when the people are disarmed, over and over, and that is a fact.

Nothing wrong in training to protect yourselves. In this day and age, everyone should have basic training to protect themselves and their loved ones. World is going crazy, especially after the pandemic which has made life miserable for many. Being a good human being means that you don’t even hurt a fly. But if God forbid bad guys come to hurt you or your family, you can protect yourself.
Now that all states are shall issue past Bruen, more of this. NY's mandatory 16 hour ccw classes used to be sat/sun initially. Now there are plenty of Sunday classes because of the number of orthodox Jews applying for ccw.
Peter, I love these videos! I want to see more about the Jewish community. It spreads awareness, and brings perspective to people that aren’t apart of Jewish life. I’m converting to Judaism, and I wear a Star of David necklace. I live in the liberal state of Oregon, and I’ve had a couple people make comments to me that were not great. Generally most people don’t care around here, but it only takes one person that’s hateful to cause emotional and/or physical harm. I hope these videos will make people stop, and think about the things they say. Every single group can be villianized in some way, that causes widespread distrust and hate. Just because white people are the majority right now, doesn’t mean that can’t change. In the future any group could be villianized. I don’t want any group to be looked at as “bad”, but I want us to see each other as human beings. Not as one race, or another. I’ve met a lot of groups of people from all over the world, and one thing is always consistent. Every single one of us feels pain, bleeds red, and can die. All of us can feel emotional pain, and it’s so hard not to want revenge if one group attacks you and wants to harm you. That is how these things start, things like hate and distrust because you’ve been betrayed. That’s something we all need to try very hard not to give into though. The hate will never stop if we don’t stop seeking revenge.

I was raised in a Christian family that cherishes the Jewish people and to think that someone can be encouraged to love them the way we do by the positive way your videos portray their lifestyle just warms my heart.
I wish we had a basic mandatory service for citizenship at 18 in the U.S. for all. Gods knows our society as a whole needs the exposure to a bit more discipline early in life. What a wonderful channel. I hope you’re out there now making another great series. This channel is so much better than 99% of the media & television out there now. Good stuff.
I made this same case in a college debate class.
My concern is that it would once again be used to force people to kill & be killed in another unnecessary foreign war.
The same government that doesn’t want to protect you and you want them to force you to go do there dirty work how does that add up?
@@sudmuck That's a fair concern, but at the same time, our national security is threatened by the overwhelming amount of childhood and early adult obesity. Requiring this training would 1) help create a more disciplined population, and 2) a potentially more fit population that is less likely to suffer multiple comorbidities at a young age. It might even decrease overall crime if more people know how to defend themselves and relieve some of the burden on police. Hey, it could even increase patriotism and promote unity, which is something so many young people seem to have forgotten.
So proud of my Jewish brothers! Came back here to remind myself we’re safe. Every member of my family of age fought in World War 2-the tradition lives on!

I am LDS and this sentiment is familiar to me. The "grandparents" (not mine but that generation) at church used to tell us the stories their grandparents told them of the horrors that occurred when the early pioneers were forced out of the United States and moved to Utah. It takes generations to end the stories like the ones the gentleman spoke of that his grandparents told every week. We sit in the US and think something like that could never happen here, but it did. Something many do not know is that it was legal to kill a member of the LDS church in Missouri until 25 June 1976 (yes you read that right... 1976 the bicentennial) when Governor Boggs' 1838 Extermination order was finally repealed. That kind of fear is passed on for generations... and for good reason. Good for these men for learning what it takes to protect their families and may they never need it

I respect there right to defend themself. I work in Jeffersonvill Indiana, Shepardvill Kentucky and wax Texas. Police pull me over 24/7 and almost killed three time by police. This is the part of American culture I don't understand. Having weapons for self protection. And especially that you can own an assault rifle is for me very strange. I'm a hunter and have weapons for that purpose, but I have never felt that I need weapons for security. I don't think anyone in Europe think that way. However, its not good that antisemitism is rising in America, which has been a secure and tolerant country to all religions. America has a rich culture and mostly are good and I truly like traveling there and I like American people which always have giving me a good impression where ever I've met them. Being jewish myself, I must say its very sad it has come to this. The media will never publicize the real shit and discrimination against certain groups.

Jews living during the 1930s in Germany also thought the concept of weapons for security was strange and look what happened to them. Same with the Cubans and Venezuelans before their communist governments took over. Why do you think totalitarian governments always come after people’s weapons first? Because they want the power of control. They don’t want armed resistance. The founding fathers of the United States knew this and that’s why the 2nd amendment in the United States bill of rights which is essentially the right to self defense was created. This comes right after the 1st amendment which is freedom of speech not because of coincidence but because it’s the 2nd most important. These rights aren’t to protect our selves from each other, but to protect us from the government.

One synagogue in Eastern Sydney, Australia just renovated with a 1 million dollar bomb proof wall. Crazy how a society has to live just to keep its head above water. Every synagogue you drive past in Sydney has security with weapons, guns, mace knives they're ready for anything. This is how we need to live our lives, not in fear but to be ready for anyone who wants to threaten our being. Id rather have a gun and not need it than not have a gun and need it

I remember my first solo trip from Southern California to Florida in the 60's I was 17 riding a small motorcycle through the backroads in the Deep South, First time I saw a white only sign, segregated drinking fountains, restrooms, restraunts and public places were common.. Back in Los Angeles the watts riots had just hit the fan the year before, The Black Panthers took over & kept the peace, contained the cops and the gangs in their neighborhoods. I worked with Jews and Blacks for most my life, being a migrant restaraunte resort worker in the biz for 40 years. whenever I hear someone bagging on Jews I always have to remind, enlighten or educate them about Jews and their contribution to humanity, After If it wasn't not for so many Jews being generous with their wealth The public would have alot fewer museums, theaters, movies & books, movie underwriters, producers. publishers & production companies as well as a myriad of charities covering and supporting many causes. It’s sad these people are having to resort to training like this. Unfortunately that’s the world, particularly in USA. I’m sure there will be other countries adopting this. What is vitally important is these people using guns in this training are mentally right.

By the way, regarding Jews being excluded from particular hotels, the film Gentleman's Agreement in 1947 (filmed right after WW2), includes a scene where a man Phil Green (played by Gregory Peck) has booked his reservation at a hotel, but is suddenly denied his reservation when he reveals he's Jewish and the hotel manager tells Phil Green to go elsewhere to another hotel. (Green/Peck happens to be an undercover reporter who is not Jewish, but is playing a Jew so he can gather facts and experiences and write an article from the perspective of a Jew living in America at that time.)
It's so frustrating seeing people training primarily on rifles since it's practically impossible to get a concealed carry permit in NY, and even less of a chance in NYC. For us smaller Jewish communities outside of that area, we have numerous people in each Shul (Synagogue) who carry every day and are able to train with that firearm without having to drive 2-3 hours each time they want to practice.

When there are calls to defund the police, the general public is thinking about anarchy and lawlessness. Problematic, but something that can be dealt with.
However we jews, descendents of holocaust survivors, think about cattle cart trains right away.
As absurd as that might sound, it is a fact.
That is a direct result of our upbringing and listing to holocaust stories from our grandparents.
And recent events have clearly thought us how quick laws can change and sometimes complete unlawful grabs of power can go on with no objection or pushback from the public.
