I’ve learnt so much from these series of videos and enjoyed every single minute of them. Here in the U.K. the Ultra Orthodox community is very small compared to New York/USA. There is a small community in Liverpool where I live and I didn’t have any idea what they were about or how they lived. I feel quite blessed to have learned from these series of Peters vlogs about your community and faith.

@@dhdowlad the idea of being a “chosen” people is largely misunderstood. The Jewish perspective is that actually, G-d went to other nations first and offered the Torah, but the Jews ended up accepting it. If you are just misusing this technical point to imply that Jews do not care about non-Jews, as a part of the orthodox community, I can say this is not what we are taught, and many anecdotes can be offered to support this point, as it is somewhat subjective and not conducive to pure statistical support, such as Orthodox Jews donating a bunch of plasma after the community was hit hard by the virus, and there being actual laws in Judaism about how you have to treat people, Jewish and non-Jewish. Observant Judaism is really a way of understanding and approaching the world. It is different in many aspects from the secular understanding f of the world, but it is unwise to ascribe negativity to something that is not well understood by those who do not observe it.

@@alb12345672 I would say that a general falling away from the practice of these common values and respect for God is what has occurred and it has in many places been replaced by philosophical constructs
that mimic the important core values but do not include God or the transcendent. This results in pursuing heaven on earth or utopia and no sense of the afterlife or God, and the self becomes God. They give some lip service to some religions by feigning membership, seemingly pretending, and for various reasons, get a pass. However, there are many Americans who hold to truly honoring God and practice the 10 commandments and the teachings of Jesus. Actually practicing Jews and Christians, no matter how flawed but trying, are the only thing that is holding this nation from falling into the hands of complete godless crazy people. As such they are in the way. Regardless of how maligned all such people may be by the media and others those who truly try to live rightly in the Judeo Christian ethos are the bulwark against evil in all its forms. Which is why they are under attack.
The Christian ethos is the more important part of the equation for a number of reasons, one important one is that it is evangelical while the Jewish religion is not. Christianity is more powerful in spreading the 10 commandments than the original owners. I have known various kinds of Jews over the years and like every group out there there are good ones and bad ones, but those who honor God truly among the Jews, they are nobody's enemy. I would prefer the world to convert to Christianity and a rather specific version of it. However, people are people, God loves them all, I hope for the salvation of everyone, (some are harder to hope for than others, especially politicians), but nonetheless, every person is loved by God. Evil is a result of sin, innocent victims of evil is no fault of their own it is the sin of others, just like Abel was innocent. A theology of suffering is very important. If it happened to Abel it can happen to you, if it happens to babies in the womb watch out, it can really happen to you. With prayer and repentance things will turn around, but our modern Nineveh is worse than the old, they had a sense of pagan gods at least, today there is no sense of God at all so much as perhaps science or the self as god I hold out hope, for the long run.

Especially conservative Christians. The left has gone full authoritarian and people from the left and right seem to think that you must think exactly the same or you can't respect each other and be friends. I for one am sick of that. Since when do we all have to have the same political, social, and/or religious beliefs to show each other respect?
Conservatives just want people to be able to live free abd they want the censorship to stop (for everyone not just conservatives). Complaining about and trying to fix injustices (political or spcial) does not mean someone has a victim complex. I pray that the extreme separation going on stops and we can all learn to respect and love each other and embrace our differing views instead of treating each other like crap because we have differing views. The universal hope of Judaism is that non-Jews will observe the seven laws of Noah but joining the Jewish people is not required or even encouraged. (It kind of makes sense, since trying to fulfill 613 commandments is a much greater burden than only 7.) Great reporting Peter.
Emunah: trust in the unknown. There‘s religion, belief, faith but none of it goes beyond without you going beyond.
You feel the Godly inside and understand what you‘re here for and create what you‘re the vessel for.
A strong principle to find focus, discipline and looking inside you. So glad I found these videos as I‘m studying the mystics at present. Happy Chanukah✨ Happy holidays✨Bless you🙏🏻💯♥️

These are two names of people who never really said they're Jewish or ever believed in God. Don't even mention those names when talking about Jewish people and how good for society they are. Because i can bring some nasty shit on your religion too

Peter... Your videos have the potential to change the world! Your inquisitive style opens doors and allows the viewer to understand other cultures in a heartfelt way. Tension & hate is generated by our lack of understanding who others are. Your videos melt these negative feelings! Out of the countless videos on youtube, your wonderful series may be the most significant of all! Amazing work!
