Telstar is easily one of the best instrumentals I've ever heard. It's sad these gentlemen have gone to heaven. The bible is so right about old age...... it's a thief. But these men gave us a great gift of music. It's worthy to note that I wasn't even around in 1962.....I showed up seven years later but I've been an oldies fan for years.... even my son is too. Much love from Ohio....God bless.

Much love from Spain too. No borders for love and good music, since both come from heart

RIP Dear Roger it was your inspirationan at the age of 4 when I first
heard TELSTAR, that I learnt to play piano and moved on to so many
keyboards. Your music with the Tornados was the sound of a generation,
a more peaceful gentle England - so little fear and terror on our
streets - I wish I could build a TARDIS I would get the hell out of the
21st Century IT SUX! It broke my heart when you left us, but you get the
last laugh riding TELSTAR round the world every day! THANK YOU and
enjoy your final sleep my friend.

I think he liked it. He (Clem) taught James (Corden) how to play the drums like he did to make it look authentic. They became friends during the filming of Telstar too.

Thanks for uploading this interview. Read the great Legendary Joe Meek book & it's wonderful to hear about the Tornados, Joe Meek & Telstar from two of the original members.

I found it interesting that John kept trying to reference Clem to the rolling beat his did on the high hats in Telstar and Clem kept correcting him that it was actually the snare. I always thought it was high hat as well, and watching the video and listening again to the track, it is in fact high hat not snare. Makes you wonder if Clem did snare and Joe had someone else track high hats over it instead lol. Thank you for uploading this full interview.

Hi Clem can you remember me Brian James in 1984 when Abbey Road's Tony Clark got us together to record in Studio 3 Rock 'n' Roll I gave you the best years of my life & You and I. I would love to get in touch with you again as now I have Leukaemia and now AT 76 I'm recording for the local Cancer Unit in Basingstoke and I would love you to play on some of my recordings I will be doing at Abbey ROAD sometime in late 2022 if my health is O K. I hope you read this, Tony would tell you how to get in touch as I still live in the same place. I never knew you were with Johnny Kid my introduction song when I still sing live Fun+d Raising is Shakin all Over. I hope we meet again, god bless from Brian Kemo Saby James
