Generally any Asians can make damn good fried rice. Years ago I went to Tokyo, Japan with some friends and I had some of the best garlic fried rice I have ever tasted and their wagyu ribeye is top notch.

The last black restaurant i went to was 5 years ago, and i walked out before, i made my order, because i sat there for 20mins before i even got a menu, and after that, I sat there waiting another 20mins or so. So I got up and left. The food was really expensive for what you get. Also, unfortunately, the service in many black service owned restaurants is all around poor, and many of the workers seemed to have a nasty attitude right off the bat, and nobody wants to hear about their personal problems, they many loudly bring up. Just sayin.

Sweet red char siu sauce should only go on fattier meat like pork or duck. They do when it involves a people that have historically been subjugated and only fairly recently (last 60 years) saw legal freedom and are still fighting for equity and equality despite massive gains in the social climate. When a people were used as a primary source of slave labor for hundreds of years, their successes in the country that enslaved them matter a lot more to people who care.
That’s the reason but honestly it shouldn’t matter. All people care about is if the food is good or not. The majority of people who dislike “black owned restaurants” are black people themselves if they don’t cook good food.

The biggest problem is ordering seafood in St. Louis. If you want good seafood, you have to get it fresh and local.
Dang nothing looks right about that imitation Chinese food lol. The reason why Chinese fried chicken wings are superior is because it’s battered in wet rice flour and then deep fried. Sweet red char siu sauce should only go on fattier meat like pork or duck. Fried rice should be made from one-day old jasmine long grain rice for ultimate crispiness and fragrance, not no uncle ben instant mushy rice. That omelette looks like a pile of sht and those gizzards could use some rice flour instead of starchy wheat flour.

I am black myself - and have got to say: on the very few occasions I have gone to a Chinese restaurant where my people were in charge of cooking - the food never tasted right and those restaurants always wound up closing down 😝😂
I credit the black owner of the restaurant.They actually have a 4.0 rating with almost 1000 reviews which is better than some chinese owned chinese restaurants so they're obviously doing something right. He wasnt afraid of stepping outside the box to serve a different type of food than he's expected to
