    This video shows you how to make your own fabric labels. This has been by far the most cost effective way for me to make labels for my etsy shop, but you can put anything on the fabric which is the great thing about Spoonflower!
    My labels are about 2 3/4 x 3/4.

    *Spoonflower did not sponsor this video, this is just what I do and I think they have a great service!
    I used Pellon SF101 interfacing, but any sort of lightweight, 1 sided interfacing will work. Pellon SF101, the woven interfacing just happens to be my favorite. I never have trouble with it bubbling.

    You just saved me a whole bunch of money, and time, and energy, and sanity!!! Thanks sooo much for the video! You're awesome and spoonflower is awesome! I do embroidery by hand, and I was literally considering doing 300 labels by hand cuz ordering them is an expense that I can't take on right now. Thanks again😀😀👏👏💖💖

    I ironed it on my ironing board. If the instructions say a hard surface, like for the t-shirt transfers etc, I have little wood side table and I will put some batting down to protect it and press on that. A pressing board would work too!

    Don't know if you answered this below, but which fabric did you order from Spoonflower? They have several options to choose from. At 2:04 in your video you show it. It sort of looks satin-like, but I'm not sure. Which do you think works best?

    9/23/21: I spray some Sulky temporary adhesive on an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and stick it down onto some muslin or cotton material, which I've ironed before the fact. Cut away any excess, choose a font and size on your computer and type your label info. Add a heart, smiley face or whatever logo you want in b/w or color and place the sheet in your printer, material side down, and print it out. You can get quite a few on a sheet and the cost is next to nothing. You can't go wrong and you can get majorly creative with it. Just sharing.

      So if you make labels out of paper and cotton, what happens to the paper once it’s washed..?

    • @conishkee
      @conishkee 2 года назад +1

      @@kourtneyalameda7727 When after its printed, you need to peel away the fabric from the paper leaving you with the print on the fabric. The paper is only used as a buffer to get it through the printer.

    Melanie... sorry if this has been asked, but after getting through about 10 replies and the snarky responses from some people, I decided not to go further. My question... did you upload a single logo to spoonflower and they created the repeat or did you upload exactly what we see on the far quarter? If so, how did you create that large piece of logos? Hope this isn’t too confusing. Thank you and I promise not to be snarky with you! ❤️

    • @mireyahayes238
      @mireyahayes238 6 лет назад

      Terri Shaver , in one of her replies , she says she downloads one label design to the Spoonflower website and uses the website to repeat the design as many times in whichever size she needs. I had wondered the same thing. Sounds like she got good service from Spoonflower, although the fabric looked like a very poor quality. Perhaps for this application, it works. I have read horrible reviews for their fabrics, the faded colors they use, and their customer service. Such a shame, because I almost tried them. Good luck!
