I think something people aren't considering about Bedard, is that even on Chicago, you'll see, as the only offensive player(s) on the team, his first line is going to be scoring, win or lose. See: Domi (before the trade), Raddysh, Athanasiou ... They were Fantasy hockey productive, despite the losing record, because even if Chicago only score 2 goals a game, Bedard's line will be in on 85% of those goals. I think we're going to see a modern "Marcel Dionne", where Bedard is going to be putting up 100+ Pt seasons, playing for a non-playoffs team for the 1st half of his career there. Cheers!

Imagine if they had Dach, DeBrincat, Strome and Domi to build around, with Kane and Toews to show him the ropes 🙃

They wouldn’t have got him if they had those guys. True tanking means going all in, something the Canucks never do

To me i think its a disgrace how the Hawks covered up a massive scandal & gets rewarded. Ray is right alot of other teams could of used him & not a franchise that will continue to have a black cloud over them. It aint going away

The team paid a penalty to the NHL as well as some sort of compensation package settled with the player. But the fans who don't care for the Hawks will always want more, of course, especially when they land the #1 overall. Look at it this way- all teams will benefit as the sales will boost the salary cap when the Hawks are good.

Chicago does NOT feel right. They just started the tear-down. Now Bedard is going to have very little support for the next few years, unless Chicago decides to try to massively accelerate the rebuild through trade or free agent signings.
Anaheim would've been a better fit from a hockey perspective because they already have some high-end young players. Fantili would've been a better fit in Chicago because he's committed to the NCAA for next season, so Chicago would've had an extra year to rebuild.

Would've rather seen Bedard in a smaller market like Anaheim or Columbus to grow the game there.. just not Arizona, you dont want this kid playing in a stadium smaller than his junior team's arena in the nhl
