I have never cried so much and been so effected by some ones death/killing that I didn’t know like I have been with George Floyd’s. Wow!! AMAZING!!! you know I cried everyday and still to this day I cry.! As a female and a mom I have been so lost distance from my home life! My everything since May, this has helped me!! I've been so lost,confused felt sad,hurt hate I still have many emotions my family they dont get me and why this has touched me with Floyd and now this AMAZING SONG. I truly appreciate your words that I still do have, felt & cried daily. I don't know if I will EVER recover from this whole experience with this Floyd situation. And I try to come to grips with everything! so many of us are sad,hurt just feeling sad hurt confused and you did a great job on explaining my feelings and I'm sure many others! I'm 43 yeats old and 2020 has been a HUGE awakening for me. Thanks for this beautiful song and I know your job isn't easy I hated every cop since Floyd then I seen so many step up in the communities and they were talked down from others about them risking putting that shield down and take a knee, they understood just as you do!!! It makes me sad all the names this could be applied to over the years, decades and generations.
It makes me angry all the names this could be applied to over the years, decades and generations.
It makes me frustrated that loss of life becomes the stressing point of politics and debate.
People are people. Even horrible people. I hate this expectation of everyone needs to be perfect all the time. I have made hundreds of mistakes that could have cost me my life if I lived somewhere else or looked different. I'm angry that it took until the just outpouring of videos for me to realize that.
When I watch releases of badge/dash cam footage, I see people making jokes about someone losing their life. Sometimes they're justified, a lot of the time they're questionable. Yet instead of using this as an educational tool, I see people seeing it as entertainment. Loss of life is loss of life. Justified or not, when I life is lost, it's gone. Forever. That was a human being, not something that happened on your phone. That happened to someone.
So please listen to this man and understand we have different opinions but are ultimately all the same wanting the same thing. A life to live.
