It's like "Nice" therapy in a society where that seems to be a rare commodity these days.
I suspect the information that the insurance agent gave Casey was accurate for the for what he knew at the time. He probably assumed that it had dents and other issues, but probably didn't know that is had come off the road, rolled several times, struck a tree while 8 feet in the air and initiated the auto destruction sequence.
My compliments! You are really a professional in this business… There seems to be no situation that you can’t handle! Great respect! And it is always the same with insurance companies-independent on which side you are (client or partner). Glad nothing happened to you! Thank you for the nice video! Cheers!
Well, I don*t know if he was really lying (in the means of deeing deliberately the untruthful). So e.g. "Came off the road while trying to avoid a deer, crashed my car" become to "somehing with a deer and a crash " and then "hit a deer".
You’re too nice of a guy. You called “someone” jackasses for running over your cones. You know it was the other tow truck but then you proceeded to say nice things about them and thank them for helping. I don’t know if I could be so gracious.
I learned to drive in mountainous terrain. It was drilled into me to never ever swerve for deer or other animals because the risk of driving off a cliff was too great. Glad the gal survived!
I think you should call that insurance company, and ask what body shop you have to bring it in and then put it there. Then maybe both you and body shop can bring some sense into those guys.
I am really late seeing this video, don’t know how I missed one of your videos. I hope you got paid really well for this job. The insurance agent need to be more aware of the facts. If the owner had pictures, the insurance company should have known how bad it was. Glad everything worked out safely for everyone. Take care Casey and stay safe.
Holy cow she sure was watched over that day, by the way, where is the body parts of the deer? Sorry you were by yourself and you had to pick up all the body parts of the car but you do such a good job. Bless you be careful.💜🦋
I've hit numerous deer. Probably more than any I have shot in over 20 years of hunting. I won't swerve to miss them, if anything, I try to center the hit if possible. I've always driven a truck or a jeep and usually had a bull bar or brush guard. An impact on one side will definitely have significantly more damage than a centered hit. All but one time, I have always been able to load the deer up and throw it in the freezer. The one was hit at 50 mph with my deuce and it happened to quick to even think about it, she went under the tires and was basically mutilated. She didn't even scratch the paint on the bumper. Having big trucks made of steel has it's merits.
That WAS a Chevrolet Trax. Two take aways from this. 1- there is a GOD. 2- Insurance companies lie. Glad it all ended well. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe and GOD bless
It seems like Auto clubs and insurance companies are scum and lie to you alot. Seems like the job you had fixing the Freightliner semi's tire chains and push starting him backwards up the mountain. EPIC!!!. I DRIVE A SEMI EVERY DAY AND YOU ARE AWESOME TO HELP LIKE THAT !!
That's why, when I called my "auto club" to send out a tow truck to change a flat tire on the side of the freeway (good weather, clear sight lines, but still on the traffic side), I tipped the driver enough to take his wife or girlfriend out to dinner. It can be a sucky job, made suckier by clubs & insurance that screw you over.
Casey, one question. I must have missed what happened to your wrecker it's all different or do you have a new one? Please explain or do you have a show I haven't see yet?
Everything thing that went down with this job is standard operating procedure for Central Oregon, right down to the $h!theads creaming out the safety cones.

That's a story which must be 'seen' because no one would believe a simple verbal telling. OK, having said the obvious, how do you renegotiate your 'pickup and tow' fee with the lying insurance agent?
Negotiating with insurance companies is the hardest and most time consuming part of the job. In this case, it delayed the recovery by an entire day before they finally approved my new price after submitting photos and a breakdown off all the charges with explanations for each

Nah; just drop it at a body shop and tell them to fix it and work out the bill with the insurance company.
