There's a car in there somewhere... Can we get it out??

- Jim was exploring pretty deep in the woods with his Toyota Scion when he came across a fallen tree blocking his path out. He tried to drive over it, but got high centered and became stuck. He had to hike 8 miles before someone picked him up and gave him a ride home. I took my sneaker tow truck up and used my @harborfreight Badlands winch to pull him off the tree and then lead him out of the woods

He’s 82?! I only can hope to be out and about like him at 82! Rock on brother!
82 years young and enjoying his golden years! That is the way to live !!
8 miles at 82. Impressive!! Way to stay fit!
He was only 79 when he started that hike.
@@tommak6516 I had to laugh at this because I am ready to turn 76 and can feel the difference from a few years ago. I have only admiration and respect for Jim.
He’s 82 and living an active life. Makes me happy for him. I admire his spirit. I’d let him borrow my Jeep any time. Great job Casey!
I really appreciate your attitude Casey. Some people would complain about Jim going out in a Scion and not marking the exact location of his car on his phone. But you say "lets go have some fun in the woods", and "what an awesome guy". It's always a joy to encounter people like you.
I might sound like a jerk but Jim might not know how to do that. On the other hand, I'm sure he knows were he's going almost like he's navigating by the stars. Some times the old ways are better.
@@OliverKrystal Nope .... you could be right, and that is something I don't know how to do on my phone. I need to make sure I find out. I know everywhere I'm going for at least the next 4 months. Take care, and thanks for bringing that to my attention.
@Andrew Snow, doe just suggest it, tell us how or at least where to look for directions!
@@OliverKrystal I'm pretty sure Casey said there was no cell signal in that area. Dropping a pin via cell phone only works with signal UNLESS you have another GPS app on your phone that does not require signal.
@@OliverKrystal So older people are ignorant?
May we all still be out playing in the woods at 82 years of age!!!
Mad props to Jim for his adventurous spirit at 82 years old! Such a cool rescue! 👍
I think it’s great that Jim is not stuck at home!! Get out and live!! We can be blessed by spending time with folks that have a life well-lived!!!😊
Wow! Good for Jim at 82 still enjoying life and fit enough to hike 8 miles to get help👍😎 Thank you Casey for always being so kind to the people that you rescue❤ Keep up the great work on the videos and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
I admire Jim for being so adventurous, get stuck like that up here would cost you a fortune to get somebody to come help !
Thanks Casey😎
Too late! I can't do it now at 65!
@@vickireynolds4055 I had guys in my motorcycle group pushing 60.. and i'm talking 2000 km trips in northern canada offroad. ]dont make excuses for everything, plenty of things still left to do bud..
82 years old and hiking out 8 miles...what a stud! 💪💪
No Jeep for Jim!! Can you imagine where you'd be recovering him if that man had a Jeep?! 😂🤣
Can you imagine how far he'd have to hike!?
Jim is awesome!!! I'm 51 and sure hope I can be like Jim into my 80's!!!!
Jim is awesome Casey making a difference in a crazy world thanks
Dad is 84 and was still enjoying it up to 2 years ago when his sight was going. You have to enjoy it when you can. Would be awesome to see you take Jim out in the Willys.
How about the jeep track mobile?
Dang.. it's hard to imagine Jim walking all that way 🤜💥🤛
I like Casey's comment, "we gotta get Jim a Jeep"
HEY! Good morning Casey and of course thumbs UP! 👍
Thanks again Casey for taking us along for the ride!
Props to Jim for getting stuck, hiking out, getting help and being concerned he would not get to properly say good bye. He sems to be in really good shape. Just lost my dad a few weeks ago, he made it to 82 and until recently still explored the woods where he lived on foot. Keep up the great videos Casey!
My dad at 82 changed gearbox oil on a wind mill by him self the day before breaking his neck unloading grocery, sorry to say negative things, but what a great life
That gentleman was awesome. It makes me happy to see he is living life and enjoying it. Not sitting in a chair watching tv.
Y’all worked well together. 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
This one was a good one. Glad Jim is enjoying life at 82 and in good health. He is in good health cause I don't know of to many at 82 that could have hiked out as far as he did. Though my Grandma Woods walked 5 miles a day until she was 85.
Then she started walking 7 miles a day.
Hats off to the old man for still being able to hike eight miles, most people nowadays can barely make it down a city block.
82 and able to walk 8 miles. That is awesome. Love he still loves adventure.
Jim is in good shape for a 82 year old gentleman to hike out.
Excellent,enjoyed that. 82 is the new 50 😁
I drove through the same area recently in my wife's lifted outback and a piece of wood flung up and got lodged between her exhaust, I had to Jack the car up and saw the wood in pieces to get it out. I'm highly considering skid plates for her vehicle now. Great video Casey! I hope I'm still out there adventuring at 80 years old!✌🏼
Primitive Racing skid plates will help you with that.
Great rescue and Jim is an inspiration. I'm 73, work out at a gym 5 days a week and walk/run several miles every day and get some hikes in occasionally. I want to be like Jim when I'm 82.
82 and still going strong, good for you man 👊
And I so want to be like Jim when I’m 82. Exploring in the wrong rig and able to walk out and laugh about it.
Oh my gosh, this man is 82?? He sure walked a long distance being that age. Casey you have a good heart to do what you do. God bless you both.
Casey, you meet the best people. Jim is awesome!
Looks like a beautiful day in Oregon.
Good to see a guy that age still out walking as good as anybody… awesome video… thanks buddy…
That awesome for someone his age still out and about enjoying life!!!
82 and a 8 mile hike. Wow!👍
Wow !! Kudo's to Jim for hiking 8 miles in that mess at 82yrs. And to you for another rescue.
As soon as I saw Jim's car I thought Jim needs a Jeep. Great recovery . I'm 15 years younger then Jim and I don't know if I could hike 8 miles out of there. Awesome
Kudos to Jim out 4 wheeling at 82 and yeah bet that Toyota club would adopt him in a heartbeat
I don’t think Ol’ Jim has been around winching much lol. But his drive to be outdoors living his life is admirable.
I enjoy your calculations and theories in problem solving.
Now as for this young fella hiking out 8 miles, kudos to him for the energy to do it !
Good job on that one glad the gentleman was ok did a good job on your camera
At least he had winter tires on the front. I have a co-worker with one of those Scion Xb cars and they aren't the highest thing off the ground. Glad Jim made it out safe! Great video!
Love that fallen tree "foot log" across that creek. I have 2 foot logs over the creek in my back yard.. The Neighboor kids have FUN trying to walk them.. It's hilarious !
I love watching this truck, I can relate to
Way to go, Jim!
How fun to meet seniorage. 82 years young. Shows you're not to old to enjoy life. Thank you Casey. Until the next video
That was really scary!
The mom in me was terrified!! Good job.
Nice scenery Casey. Jim sure gets around for his age.Great recovery too. Thanks for sharing.
So awesome that Jim is out and enjoying the beautiful country side at 82 even though he couldn't remember where his vehicle was at and how to get out exactly but for him being 82 he's doing great. Casey your the man for not complaining about him at his age shouldn't be doing that kind of stuff so as usual another awesome recovery and video as always be safe 👍
The fact that Jim is 82 and hiked 6-8, I can't remember, miles out is simply amazing! Thank you for what you do Casey, your amazing.
I could see Jim in a nice jeep rubicon 2 door would be perfect for him. Good on you Jim for hiking out 8 miles on your own at 82 I hope I’m able to do that at his age
Loved this one!
That was a mighty fine rescue, Casey!
I love your "whenever" oil change reminder sticker!
We need more people like him enjoying the outdoors having a good time.
I THINK JIM DESERVES A JEEP TO PLAY WITH IN THE WOODS. WHAT A COOL GUY!
Never thought I would see a Scion Toaster taken off road...
And a competent cameraman too.
Jim...there are no Old Country Buffet's within 50 miles of there. Pretty amazing you could hike 8 miles at your age. Be well and please be safer!
I'm half his age and couldn't hike that far especially in those conditions. Just shows you, keeping active can prolong life expectancy.
Great videos, he probably knows that area alit
My 77 year old Mom has that same car...I doubt she's bold enough to hit the back woods roads with it, though! 😀
When you said “Jim needs a jeep” I had to laugh, because I said the same thing at the same time!
My hats off to Jim for still possessing the outdoor spirit, I hope I still feel that way at his age.
Thanks Casey for bringing us along on the recoveries.
I want to go exploring in your area, it is so beautiful!
The places to see and explore here are endless. I need another lifetime to do so.
Jim is one really cool dude! He sure has your lifestyle and personality pegged right "you Rascal" !!
P.S. many of your woods recoveries are at no cell coverage, I hope you have or are getting a satellite phone.
It's really nice how you helped Jim .. shows what you are built of !!!
6 more reasons why I subscribed to your channel
8 miles looks WAY long for him- but you do what you gotta do! Good thing he made it out!
the real reason he left his car and walked out a different way could have been so he does not get drunk driving ticket.
As others have stated. I can only hope that I will still being getting around as good as Jim at 82. Thank you for helping an old man have fun. A bad experience with this recovery may have resulted in him giving up and not wanting to have any more adventures.
I heard he was out in the woods searching for horny women.
Great work Casey, but still amazes me why people think they can do things their vehicle and themselves cant.
Casey I definitely agree that Jim needs to be in a jeep for sure.
I admire Jim being 82 and still being that active is truly amazing.
I give you credit Casey for making backing up look so easy to do.
Keep up the great work
it really blows my mind, that anyone would attempt to take a scion 4 wheeling in the woods!! i would not drive a scion even on a local dirt road!!!
but a big thumbs up to jim for being able to walk 8 miles out!!
Awesome Jim. Keeping yourself young having adventures like this. Maybe he needs to get a GPS tracker like Inreach. Handheld. Similar to a walkie talkie. All he needs to do is push a button and search and rescue can come find him.
But I'm so glad he made the hike to safety.
And thanks Casey for helping this gentleman out. You're good people.
From a Scion xB owner (1st gen) to this 2nd Gen .Scion xB owner !!! JUST WOW!!!! walk 8 miles out !! @ his age !! JUST WOW ! Tried to 4x4 that log with 6.1 inches of clearance! WOW ! Courage ! Thank you for your Service Sir ! and to the People who left this mess .... See what happens !! Clear a path !! Not everyone has 4x4 to climb over it !! See a mess? Clean it up for someone else .. Thanks ! Cassy !
Well, what a great guy. We all need a Grandpa just like him.
It's good that Jim can still get out and about! Go to enjoy life while you still can! Good job getting him turned around and out!
Love what you're doing and why....Keep it up and keep it safe Casey!!
What a lovely man he was, you too Casey, just so you dont feel left out xx
Jim's looking pretty good 🙂
Hats off to Jim to keep Enjoying the great outdoors. I go out regularly. And I always take a scissor jack and I have a small trolley jack which stays in my motor. Just in case of situations like that
Jim doesn’t need 4wd, he’s got momentum on his side!!🤣
Good job. What beautiful countryside
YAY!
God bless you guys.
Fun times! Thanks for sharing.
I grew in Oregon and unfortunately moved to north dakota. Miss the mountains.....
Jim rocks! An he a decent camera man to boot! That sure is pretty country and I can see why Jim was out there. Thanks to both of you!
For crying out loud....How many times have I written this in your comments. YOU ARE A GREAT PERSON AND HUMANITARIAN.
You need to adopt him and invite him on recoveries. He can be your “Ed”. He’s probably got some great stories.
Great job. Old people like to have fun too. I know I'm old.
82 years old and he can conquer the American continental again on his vehicle.
GR8 attitude.
Casey. Why not use, after interventions
Hand Cleaner, Loctite 7850, Bottle, Orange, 3L ! Good for your hands and good for the cars and seats !
You are a super human being. What you do for people not many would, good on ya. 👍👍🇨🇮🇨🇦🐶❤
This is the first car I see on camera in the US that has 4 proper snow tyres on it.
🦅🇺🇸💪😁👍 great video thank you
Awesome. You put the gray dodge to work. About time.
Austin Power turn!!!, HELLO and good afternoon from Argentina
82 and he would probably still out work ,hike, drive and live most of these young whipped snappers out there today.
82, WOW. 72 here, need to get back out there
Hope that's me in another decade. Concur, Jim needs / deserves a Jeep.
Excellent job glad you both had a good time, it's good seeing older people enjoying what I enjoy all the best to you all
