You may need to "burp" your clabbering milk once or twice a day as the fermentation matures! I like to put the cap on loosely so it burps all by itself. :)

Heather I absolutely love your video. I made cottage cheese in my HOME. ECONOMIC CLASS IN 1963. MY CURDS WERE LIKE RUBBER LOL 🐸
I loved it and ate it. Told my teacher mine would last all day with the chew factor. We always had fun in that class. They need this class back in school. Thank you DEAR😎😎💞💓💞

I watched a video yesterday about making cheese curds and some people like a rubbery texture it seems? Maybe IDK what "sqeaky" cheese curds are but it doesn't sound appealing to me lol! I agree home ec really needs to come back!!

I use raw cream that has gone a little sour in making chocolate ganache. The slight tartness adds a nice dimension to the ganache.

You can do it with rennet or vinegar, but with raw milk you only need the pre ingredient!

It's been about 8 mos. and one is starting to "tolerate" me and make eye contact, but trimming hooves is a nightmare. I cant imagine breeding and milking with these two. The whither was bottle-fed and seeks me out for some loving. There is such a difference.

      Shameless plug but:
We have a bunch of kidding videos in our goat playlist if you want to check them out and get familiar with the process! The recent ones are much better than my earlier versions I recorded with my phone, lol

My local grocery store hasn't had cottage cheese in month due to shortages, I may have to try this.

Definitely! I heard the same thing was happening with cream cheese too. You can drain more of the whey out and put in the food processor to create a soft spreadable cheese kinda like cream cheese. It isn't an exact match but it is delicious.
