We appreciate the shout out :) Quick note - That white fuzz actually isn't mold, its called "flowers of kefir" You can google that if you want to learn about it more. Generally harmless but it doesn't taste the best. Your kefir looks amazing by the way. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Fusion Teas!!! That's great to know!♡♡
@@SageandStoneHomestead I'm thankful for fusion teas too. Just got my grains from them two weeks ago and I'm already enjoying fresh kefir for the first time, after consuming store bought for about two years. Fusion teas I hail you from the Caribbean ❤
May u please message me about the lids location

You make it look so easy, I have not given Keifer a try but after watching, I will give it a try.
Yay! Envoy it!♡♡
It is so easy. Much easier than making yoghurt.
You’re grains look very healthy!! I’ve been making Kefir for about 6 weeks. I am LOVING it! I enjoy working with the grains, straining them and making more. Trying to find that sweet spot of thickness as I find mine to be thinner than I’d like and still need to gone on and try a second ferment with fruit.
It never occurred to me to do the second ferment until I saw my sister in law do it! I've done second ferments with kombucha and Jun so it makes sense but it still never occurred to me! Haha
My kefir grains have been ordered! Super excited to master this!
Congrats!! happy Fermenting!
This is awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for watching♡♡
Love that you showed the process using your goat’s milk. That’s how I want to learn to make it.

I’ve only had kefir a couple of times. I liked it but it was so expensive. I think I would like to try making it. Thanks for your video.
It is very expensive at the store!!
Wonderful video. I lost my kefir grains last year. Ordering from my local supplier. She dehydrates hers so she can ship them easily. Going to nerd out on the link you left of the history. I love history knowledge.
The history is really interesting!! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for sharing! I love my kefir! It is my favorite ferment. I never thought about putting in fridge to slow it down when I have too much. Great idea!
Thanks!! I got the idea from fermenting my sourdough this way !

Thank you, Heather…did water kefir one time, but grains did not revive themselves. So, never tried again. Will look into it some more….😊

New sub here in NKy. Love this video. Thank you.
Hello and Welcome!!
I feel much better about making kefir now. I have a book but I like to see what people are talking about so I know what it is supposed to look like. I was scared to leave milk out 😆. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and have a blessed day
It's intimidating at first but worth doing!♡
Kefir is the only way I can drink cow milk without triggering my IBS. I would really love to make my own at home.
Oh that's wonderful! Making it from home would be so awesome for you!!
Very interesting. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great video, look forward to making milk keifer. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Interesting. I might try the cheese. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you I always wondered how to make kefir.
You bet!! Thanks for watching!
This looks like a fun project. I will definitely try it out. I have heard that kefir is helpful to drink while you are taking antibiotics and afterward.
For sure!! Drink it about 2 hours after you've taken your antibiotic for the day.
Very interesting. Love Kefir.
Thank you so much for sharing, I am trying so hard to fix my gut 🙃
I pray you're successful!!
Never had kefir. Will have to look into getting some grains.
I put a link in the description of where I got mine if you can't find some locally!
I didn't know about kefir. I do yogurt all the time. I'll have to try it.
I think you'll love it! Thanks for watching!
Nice
Thanks for watching!
Never tried Kefir. I’ve been interested in trying it though. I enjoyed watching your video.
You can usually find kefir in the grocery store near the yogurt, if you want to give it a try! Thanks for watching! ♥
Thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing the baby goats. I miss having baby goats...they are so unbelievably cute!!
They really are! Welcome to the channel!♡
Thank you for adding a link to making kifir from coconut milk. I'm allergic to dairy, so that works well.
Yay I'm so glad there is an option for you!! Thanks for watching!
Very informative video! Thanks for talking the time to teach us! Loving Fermenting February 23!
Thanks for sharing that it can be done with plant based milks. I will look into that. Would love to try it out.
Hope you enjoy!!
Wow!! Thank you for sharing. I am blown away at all the different ferments!!!
You are so welcome! Fermentation is great!
I've made raw milk kefir for the past decade. Usually we use it in our smoothies, but I make cheese with some and soak my homemade granolanin it before dehydrating it.
Cheese!! Do you just strain the thick kefir through a yogurt strainer or kitchen cloth?
@@SageandStoneHomestead yes, it's actually a yogurt strainer. I also ferment the kefir until it's pretty thick.
Great, thank you!!
At one point, I had to put some of mine in the freezer with the milk.
It works!
I have never tried kefir before, so i'll have to try it now. Looks like an interesting process and you make it sound pretty good. Thanks!
It's great! I hope you get to try it someday! ♡♡
I have been trying to try this but I can’t have dairy so the idea of being able to do it plant-based is amazing because I have a machine to make my own plant-based milks
Let me know what you think!
@auntdayskitcchen6315 @sageandstonehomestead The Kefir grains need lactose (milk sugars) from mammals milk. If you use them for plant-based milks, you will need to “refresh” them frequently in cow/goat/mammal milk. Do a bit of research. There are videos and blogs that explain it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not on the FusionTea website (or wherever you got your grains from).❤
Thank you for your thorough instructions. I'll be looking into those milk alternatives to try this.
Great!! Enjoy! Thanks for watching!!
I had no idea it was this easy, I keep putting these videos in a playlist but now re watching .
Thanks for sharing, I’m placing an order for a few things I need to make the process easier.
Thanks again!
Enjoy it!! I love Kefir!!
I HAVE NEVER TRIED KEFIR I MAY NEED TO CHECK THIS OUT SINCE I LOVE YOGURT. THANK YOU FOR THIS STEP-BY-STEP VIDEO AND FOR BEING A PART OF THE COLLAB.
If you love yogurt I think you'll love kefir too!! Thanks for watching!♡
I like it but my family on the other hand don’t. But it would be great to make my own. Thank you for sharing.
You could do small batches!!
