Anxiety is crazy! I have been watching cherelle for a while now because for about two years I have had health anxiety with all kinds of symptoms. I’ve thought headaches were a brain tumor, I’ve thought acid reflux was something serious, and now I have these little red spots under my chin and right away I thought it was leukemia and while I tried not to think it was serious right away, I never thought it might be my anxiety until I found this video! It’s crazy! Thanks so much for sharing your experiences Cherelle! I will do my best to stay calm about it until possible further action needs to be taken if that’s the case! (But most likely another anxiety symptom which is a relief)

Hi Cherelle, my nan had leukaemia and did not have petechiae so it just goes to show that when we look online, see the symptoms and think the worst, often people who have the illness do not actually have those symptoms. Hopefully that's reassuring for some people. I also get petechiae when I've had a hot shower/bath and scratch a bit too hard. Interestingly, they show up more on places where my skin has stretched or thinned (e.g. on my boobs or legs). It can be related to low iron levels as well. Hope you are doing well and thank you for your consistent support here on YT xx

Yes I recently tore two tendons in my ankle and amazingly enough even though my foot was the size of a grapefruit in my ankle area I didn't. But if I sat down I wouldn't have been able to get up again so I would stand in the hot bath water as hot as I could get it. And sure enough I got petechiae on both of my feet.. but the hot water helped so much with pain.. that I didn't care.. and now I'll often just go stand in a hot bath tub with water.. petechiae can just come like hello stranger ur back lol

In the past 5 months I have been crippled with extreme anxiety due to my relationship ending. I was drinking everyday, not eating, over working myself. I lost weight like crazy. No appetite, couldn’t sleep, muscle and joint pain. Then I started becoming weak, anxious, constant panic attacks and tremors, fast heart rate, sweating constantly. I am already a hypochondriac to begin with so any noticeable change with my body….I am automatically on top of it. These red spots started to appear on my fingertips as of 4 days ago. They are a bit painful to the touch and I’ve noticed them starting to appear on other fingertips. I googled. I got so scared. The reason this video calmed me down is because you mentioned your body was as such high stress levels, it could have easily been brought in by itself. As a result of my hectic personal life lately, I am sure this is what’s going on. Thank you so much 🙏

I experienced a similar rash to what you're describing (it only appeared on my legs when I was about 7 or 8 years old. From a distance, it like a bruise on my shin. Eventually faded away over the years, save for a select few here and there which still remain today. I think you might actually be onto something with your idea of stress somehow being related. I'm currently experiencing symptoms which can only really point to some form of vasculitis, but no diagnostics have been sought as of yet. (Ignorance is bliss, they say. I'm honestly just avoiding having to face what life has thrown at me this year. But what if I tried to make lifestyle changes that potentially could dramatically lower my stress levels and basically uplift and improve my entire current paradigm? Could I hopefully help heal myself, instead of settling for a lifetime of pill-popping, side effects, etc.
Anyhow,my point is, thank you for sharing your story! I find this notion that you've brought up quite inspiring! Wish me luck!!!! *hearts*

I get them a lot! I went to the doctor and she didn't even know what they were!!! It was horrible, she had to look them up and then told me I didn't have them (I KNOW I did, I even did the glass test). I'm not saying I'm better qualified but this was a different doctor than my regular one (who is an angel) and she just was not good for my situation. Anyways so I went to A and E because of these petechiae and they told me I didn't have them (again, I KNOW I DID!!!). Anyways that was almost 2 years ago now and I still get them. I eventually got over it when my regular doctor did a blood test and said they're harmless. They don't scare me so much now but I have a few theories: low vitamin c, antidepressants or sheer anxiety. Now I think maybe I had the same situation as you. It is so scary but so fascinating...

Something similar. Let me share my story. I had this petechia not that serious it was on my legs and arms. I also first thought that I had leukemia but after I went to doctor and had a blood test all was totally normal except my hgb. Also I was very active no fever no diarrhea or anything. . Then I was releaved that i don't have cancer. The doctor gave my 21 days medicinss and it was all gone. Bout soon after 2 days again I got all that back it was not so much like earlier then I thought if my haemoglobin is low so maybe I have aplastic anaemia. But I don't have other symptoms of aplastic anemia. The doctor gave me the same medicine again. So I m taking. Hope so it will go away again and never come back. Thanks sm for sharing your video atleast I got something relatable. I will definitely update again after it goes. Advice never see your symptoms on google you will always get cancer only.

When I had postpartum anxiety disorder, I noticed red dots everywhere and I thought I had something terminal, I was always sick and my white blood cell count was low and something else too and the doctor actually said “that’s not normal to have a cold every other month”.... even though my toddler back then was bringing back all kinds of bugs from day care. I was terrified. Then I noticed my father in law had it all over his skin and I asked him, he said he had it for years, they are like age spots. Back then I had postpartum anxiety so any of my fears were exaggerated physically, I was literally jumping out of skin. When I calmed down and healed my spots were still there and still there mostly after 7 years but I am no longer scared of them. Knowledge and better health helped.
I also wonder which one came first, the anxiety disorder or being anxious about health, or it multiplies each other. I think we just have generalized anxiety disorder, I don’t remember being so scared for my health when I was younger.
Other symptoms I had before was months of diarrhea, and of course months of twitching, which is why I found your channel. Thanks for everything

It’s long COVID. I got those, and edema in my legs akin to veinous insufficiency following a very mild case of covid that would have been undetectable if my husband hadn’t gotten much sicker. They are finding that long COVID is attributed to vascular inflammation, and petechia are capillary hemorrhages in the skin. So, very vascular. It is the monocytes that are supposedly involved in this inflammatory condition as well. Our white blood cells. The mental health symptoms can be associated with the blood vessels being inflamed in our brain, or the immune cells causing inflammation locally. Same with the other long haul symptoms.

Hi there! I do have these petechie spots. I have had them off and on through my life. They come and go. Like you, sometimes they are from lifting, or I once got them after a bad sunburn on my legs. This last time was about a week or so ago. I thought it was because I applied so much lotion, then powder, then calamine lotion, and I thought maybe I irritated my leg pores. The petechie were mostly on the lower legs. Anyways, I went to my GP last Thursday and she said they were from standing or using my treadmill. They are capallaritis. But then she said the rash looked like a heat rash, not petechiae and called it dermatitis. I, too, like you were concerned about leukemia or a lymphoma rash. She ruled that out. So yesterday I went to a board-certified dermatologist. I explained to her how after exercising a couple days later I noticed, after applying the cream, the powder, The lotion etc. that I got this terrible petechiae rash. She looked at it and called it.Capallaritis. She said it can be brought on from exercise, overheated, or it can just be a thing. She did not want to biopsy it, and did not seem concerned. She did not say it was dermatitis like my GP did. But they both mentioned the small breakage under the skin, causing the red spots. I don’t have any other symptoms, but this is caused great stress. I too like you, I am a very anxious and nervous person that sometimes gets overly stressed out. I’m not sure if I brought it on myself because I’m usually stressed out every day. Lol but it was just weird how it cropped up I have a physical with my GP at the end of this month, and I might mention to her about doing some blood test.thanks for sharing Mary

      @theakharizza2693 Thank you for asking.
It cleared up . I guess after asking 5 doctors (2 dermatologist ) it’s just something people get. It can be from heavy excise, lifting, friction, sunburn and injury.
I am 66 so my skin is thinned out… unfortunately, so I guess that can attribute to it too. Like I mentioned, I have seen tiny petechie spots most of my adult life.
The doctors all seem to call it capallaritis, or just breaks under the skin that leak
I hope your daughter’s is better now.

I have daily stress and anxiety, but also low energy. Sometimes my extremities get cold when the rest of my body is fine. So I’m really scared. I don’t have insurance right now thanks to by abusive ex, so I can’t even see a doctor or get tested until who knows when.

I had lots of petechiae on my buttocks a few years ago. I didn't worry about my health, so I thought it would be a good idea to watch them and go to the doctor only if they didn't disappear. My theory is that they were from straining, as I was constipated back then. 😂
I always have some random red dots on my skin (maybe about 15/20 now on my whole body if I count them), but I don't think they're petechiae. My mum has them too, and I had bloodwork, so they're harmless.

Funny thing for me is in the beginning of 2021 or so. I kept getting these random 2-day fevers about 3 to 5 times in the first three or four months of 2021 and it went away for a long time and then just recently I have been getting fevers low grade always and some kind of joint pain and bone pain though very mild and it mainly happens on the weekends for a couple days and I generally don't feel very well kind of tired and run out. And then it clears out for 5 days or so. It has happened this weekend and last weekend and before last weekend. I had it a month before that and then a month before that or so. Though I don't think I have any petechiae I only really ever get those little rash things after I take a hot shower on my legs. No, the past couple weeks I have noticed I got these low grade fevers like a day after. I have binged on a lot of junk food and sugar. And the fever is usually come from like 10:00 a.m. and onward. I'm wondering if it's some kind of autoimmune response to anxiety like what you had.

This was following an increase in Petechiae during the past 3 weeks (I've had them about a year now), ~3 years of unusual fatigue (in my 20s), and bonus: swollen lymphatic areas. Currently waiting on results, but it is nice to see so many folks in the comments have experience with these spots without serious issue.

Can you let me know the results please? similar symptoms very scared.

@@Cannibal.Stabbing.Menace Platelet and RBC were all good, with slightly abnormal WBC (expected and consistent with the unusual lymphatic swelling with no obvious causes). WBC differential was normal (abnormal example might be immature/deformed cells present in blood released too early from the marrow)
Essentially I've just got to wait for things to worsen to go in for more testing. They're considering a thyroid issue and just gave me a list of things to watch for. My results just generated all around confusion and we won't have ideas for much else to test for until things get ugly

I get them in same spot off and on. My right thigh and left upper arm. They go away and sometimes come back few weeks or months later.

Ive found 3 lines of red spots on my left arms but they arent itchy. They come and go...i went to google & the results just heightened my health anxiety then i saw ur comment & i felt abit relieved? Bcs i think ive found a probable cause. I sleep on my left side due to gerd & also ive been checking my blood pressure frequently. This makes me think is putting pressure the cause of my red spots?? Im afraid to see a doctor bcs it's covid outside

I have those blood spots lately too but I do have an autoimmune disease. It causes severe anxiety too hence the constant panic. To be diagnosed, my blood tests came back normal however my MRI showed up that I had a nodule on my thyroid which is stopping it from working properly so it's not always the blood tests that will catch the autoimmune disease. Not in my experience anyways zz

I totally understand. I have severe hypochondria and even after every ER visit or doctor visit, I’m convinced they missed something and find a new diagnosis that I end up going back in for them to check.
