      @@EdgarEstrada-l3z I have an 89 and the same size wheels & tires (Nitto 555) running square though. The wheels are Cobra R 4 lug (American Muscle) and they rub on the lower portion of the front fenders, but only when turning sharply; like into a driveway, lock to lock. I know they made some changes in the fenders/ suspension geometry, but I don't know the details on it. I'm going to try some lower aspect ratio tire the next time and hoping that cures it and hope this helps you.

    I run a UPR K member, lower tubular A arms, and I have 03 gt wheels on mine 17", 5 lug of course, with a 5/16 wheel spacer which meant longer studs, had 245's up front, I autocross it and in hard turns in would bang the fender pretty hard, front and rear fenders rolled also, so I went with 235's to help out some, unfortunately for me those 18's with that backspacing would never work on my car. They look wicked though man👍👍. Oh and p.s. I was referring to the front set up on my car which I'm sure u guys gathered.

Called LMR before i bought these and the 5 lug conversion and was told they would fit. Come to find out after i called again today i need a spacer. But then i have to watch wheel stud length. Then theres a aftermarket caster plate...etc etc. Pissed off and feel like i was taken. I called to make sure I wasnt going to have issues!! Havnt even got to the back yet, axles, gears, and a 285 tire...which prolly wont fit. Any advice??

    • @KASLCustoms
      @KASLCustoms  3 года назад +3

      Hey bud. Yes I have two options for you: 1. Depending on what conditions you drive your car in i.e. sunny days, minimal miles, low dust conditions - just go with no dust cover on the rotor. 2. You can take a dremel to the inside of the rim cap and gain enough clearance to instal. You can also tap the tin dust cap slightly with a hammer to gain a little more clearance too. Go easy when working with the dremel as you can burn through the cap easily. All that said, replacement wheel caps are cheap. This is what I did 👍

    • @calebjones1193
      @calebjones1193 3 года назад +1

    I have the SVE 10th Anniversary Anthracite 9/10 wheels on my 88 Scarlet GT based on your recommendation and I love them. However, I recently changed my fender badges to black foxbody 5.0 and am considering the SVE Saleen SC 9/10 wheel in all black. I just can't get myself convinced to go all black. What do you think....? I have smoked stck headlight kit as well.

      Any time my friend. My 18’s are 9” wide and they are a 24mm offset with a 5.95” back space. No rub front or back and I run a 275/35 rear and a 255/35 front. I did have to flip my quad shock around in the rear though 👍

    What’s everyone’s opinion on 17 inch ponies? Is it worth it or go with 18’s. And if going with ponies would you still go 5 lug or leave it 4 lug.
