I jump so much my 200 hours in game probably about 10 minutes is touching the ground
If you slide onto liquid, for example the acid, you skip. You can't turn, but you can use it to skip the last platform of the acid room.

I also just found out Malicious Railcannon is strong enough to launch you up to the top in 3-2, leaving you with 50 hp instead of the 15
