Also I’m loving the cooking video, I’d love to see Katie cooking more - she can make anything a success! ❤️ Sending love and happiness to your wonderful family ❤️
Thank you so much for your kind words Scarlett! Your love and support means so much to us. @@FamilyFreedom thank you for your lovely reply. It really means a lot, I’ve commented quite a few times in the past - I’m not sure if you remember me but I was due to qualify as a midwife this year but unfortunately has to defer my studies until 2024 as I suffered from seizures due to my mental health in March. I’m looking forward to finally finishing my degree and becoming a midwife! Your platform definitely has a huge impact on my life and really does bring me joy and comfort everytime you post. Thank you for replying to me ❤️
I think you did a great job guys. The only thing I may have done differently, and it is a very small thing, I would probably have used some of the stuffing mix in the nut/mushroom loaf. Two reasons, one, you would not have needed to buy the bread because it has bread crumbs in it, and two, it has herbs and seasonings in it already. However I think you did really well, it looked delicious, and good on you Bob for making the Yorkshires with the oat and almond flours. It sounded really odd, but as long as they tasted nice, that is all that matters. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, when the big day gets here, and that you are not worn out with all these shopping and cooking challenges on the lead up to the big day it self. Much love and respect to all three of you, and a big snuggle for your beautiful cat. From Jo, in Sussex, England. xxx

Family Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FreeGang! Yay!!! Commenting to you #LIVEbutNOTLIVE from South Carolina, USA (East Coast). If only they would of had carrots and sweet corn to bring some colors to the plate, but it was still a slammin' dinner. You guys did a great job! So pleased about Vlogmas! Is there a PO Box for you to receive letters and bits & bobs?
Looks like you made a great dinner, looks very yummy! I really admire how much care you take into these videos and trying to help people on a budget etc. Really love the Christmas intro as well! I’d I forgotten to mention that in my comment yesterday from the other vlog. #freegang #livebutnotlive #freedomfamily #justkeeprising
The meal looked good. Jack Monroe has a great budget nut roast recipe that uses a pack of stuffing as the base, to which any veg/nuts/fruit can be added.
Katie's creativity especially in cooking is some serious level of talent like she never struggles with any challenge she just whacks it out of the park every single time! She needs some sort of cook book or cooking channel because we need her wisdom seriously! And some gluten free people can have gluten free oats and some can have no oats at all and sadly for porridge loving me I can't have any oats :'( Haha I miss porridge so much especially in this cold weather! And the yorkshire puddings kind of looked a bit like cookies haha i wonder if you added some raisins and cinnamon in them maybe they're make a banging christmas cookie! :) But you've really inspired me today because I've been a bit stuck on what I'd like for my christmas dinner this year haha And if you figure out stuffing I'd love to see it because I was considering making my own this year because I find the packaged stuff always leaves me very belchy haha A £10 aldi christmas dinner though that sounds like a serious challenge
You are too kind Shauna, thank you for the compliment 💚 Oh no :( Sorry to hear that you can't have oats, I made a version of porridge with quinoa a few years back with mixed berries, it was actually quite nice! Might be worth a try :) That's a great idea for the Christmas Yorkshire pudding cookie, we'll have to do some experimenting!! 😋 And try making stuffing at some point too 💚
This family is one of the best-out there. JOJO is so lucky to have parents like you. My dad didn’t wan’t me and my mam and (then step dad would beat and bully) me I just try to be the parents you guys are! I wish you was my mam.. Jojo, jamie and Sam are veery fortunate I just hope my kids are as happy as yours.
Some dollar tree locations here actually have products upwards of $5 I believe. I have yet to go to one of those locations but I can confirm that prices are $1.25 plus tax where applicable. My mom makes homemade stuffing. My grandmother taught her how. You cut onions and celery into bite size pieces and boil them until they’re soft. Then you spoon them over dried breadcrumbs (almost like croutons) and add your choice of seasonings. You can use some of the water from boiling the veggies if you need more moisture because the bread should all be moist but not soggy wet when you’re done mixing. You’d also need a binding agent. We use eggs because we aren’t vegan so you’d want an egg alternative. Then put the bread mix into loaf pans and bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes (you want the top to start browning).
We make our own home made stuffing, which is Apple, pork onion and sage, Which is 500g ground sausage meat or vegan sausage with the skin removed, browned with a little vegetable oil, add 1 large brown onion, to your roasting pan, add the sausage meat, then chop up 4 cooking apples and then add them, take a plain leaf and use 250g to make the bread crumbs, mix everything together in the roasting tin and add sage to taste. We then cook it in the oven for 1 hour, at 200
Happy Holidays to everyone. I'm here in the USA in the state of Virginia. I love your shows. I look forward to news ones . I make my own stuffing. I make cornbread stuffing and regular turkey stuffing . I know you dont eat meat but you can opt out of using meat and sub it for mushrooms (I'm allergic to them however) I'll find my recipe for each of them and send it to you tomorrow. It's very yummy . I hope you love it as much as my friends and family.
Wow, well done Katie! You really rose to the challenge. I love opportunities like that which force me to get creative with resources. You absolutely should try making your own stuffing if you have the time! My grandmother has a delicious recipe which we still make every year (she can’t cook anymore, but she supervises). I don’t have the exact recipe, but the basic gist is: Sauté sweet onions in (vegan) butter and add herbs (I believe it’s dried sage, parsley, and thyme + salt & pepper). Add chopped celery and sauté until translucent. Add in small cubes of white bread and chopped water chestnuts (they come in a tin) and stir. Put stuffing in a greased casserole dish and bake (I believe it’s 350*F for about 45 minutes). When I’m at my grandmother’s next, I’ll get the recipe to share with you if you like.
Thank you so much for giving us you lovely Grandmothers recipe, bless her 🙏 Nice to hear that she is able to supervise 💚 I've put the recipe into my notes but it would be lovely to have the exact recipe next time you are with your Grandmother 💚
Hey! Jojo has grown so much ( ever since I watched family fizz ) I recently started watching you guys and I love it! I’m coming live but not live from England in Birmingham!!! I would love to meet you guys one day in London since my relatives live there 🩷
My aunty used to make a simple stuffing at Christmas that was always delicious, especially on a sandwich. I tried a Mary Berry recipe which was pretty similar - boil a pound of sliced onions for about 15 minutes. Squeeze all the water out. Make some breadcrumbs in the food processor (use that chef's eye Katie!) Mix the onions, bread crumbs and lots of sage, fresh is best, but dried is fine. Bake. That's it. Also, Home Bargains have packs of vacuum packed chestnuts, lovely in your nut roasts.
Thanks for sharing the recipe, we really appreciate it, and thanks for letting us know about the chestnuts at Home Bargains!! We'll be grabbing a few pack next time we're there 💚
Such a fun video. I love how creative you are and respect that nothing goes to waste at the same time. I'd be sad about the veggies too. You did so well guys! Ironically I sat watching this eating a bowl of mashed carrot and swede with a spoon 😅 Phil needs your mushroom and cheese wellington recipe 😂 Hugs 💚
Thank you so much Elle! A few people have asked for the mushroom and cheese wellington recipe, I'll have to actually give it some thought and type it out out as I don't actually have it written anywhere, only in my head 😂 Big hugs 💚
I really enjoyed this video so much and I would like to see you do it again but this time in B&M store as that would be interesting to see if you can get everything you need for a Christmas dinner. Just Keep Rising.
Looks good! My grandad makes the best homemade stuffing and bread sauce at Christmas. My mum is gluten and dairy intolerant so I'm aware that oats are not gluten free. We Have to use gluten free oats if using any
Hats off to you Katie. You are a wizard in the kitchen to be able to make that. As you were shopping I was thinking "this is going to be a disaster ". Shame on me for being so negative. Please do more of these videos. Brilliant, absolutely loved it.
I give you a 10 for inventiveness. That roast looked amazing. Everything looked really nice. Would love to see another like this. Is there any special meal you have on Christmas Eve?
Hey Karen, we're glad that you enjoyed this, we appreciate the 10 out of 10! 🙏 We don't tend to have anything special on Christmas Eve, maybe we should! 😊
@@FamilyFreedom oh you're welcome, we usually have some kind of pasta on Christmas eve because the tradition is fish but I don't eat that lol Maybe you could have a specialty dessert 😋
I often say that but when it first opened everything was a pound but they have put up prices and not everything is a pound anymore they should change their name
You should do the other supermarkets but then get your actually Christmas day dinner from Borough Market. Go with a free budget and just enjoy yourselves and treat yourselves. You deserve it
Hi guys, do a mince pie tasting. Buy from all the popular supermarkets. Then taste test them and give them a score 1 for the best and so on. That would be fun and entertaining.. 👍♥👍
*Well done guys- a resounding success 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🔥* Shame you couldn’t find more veg but that’s fine. P,s- if I’m short of veg or I fancy it,il open a tin of mushy peas,I do like them with a dinner actually. Stuffing- I make my own most of the time and I keep it simple. I either blitz my bread or buy a bag of fresh breadcrumbs in the bread section of a bakery, though not everywhere has it. A large onion or two, diced ,some dried sage sometimes a little thyme too. Olive oil or butter- butter is luxurious but expensive- good amount of oil or butter and a lot of onions, maybe a slightly more ratio of onion to breadcrumbs- mix it,in the oven and turn it regularly, because breadcrumbs and onions catch quickly and they don’t need much cooking, just toasting. If you wanted to make balls, then add a binder like an egg but I like loose stuffing. Salt not really necessary but all individual for that. Breadcrumbs, sage, onion and either oil or butter. Mix. Put in oven.turn frequently. Voila . Xx
Thanks for your lovely comment! Your simple stuffing recipe sounds delicious and straightforward, perfect for adding flavour to the meal. The combination of breadcrumbs, onions, sage, and optional thyme sounds like it will create a delicious classic stuffing mix. 💚😋
@@FamilyFreedom simple and does enhance your meal, and often plenty left to have stuffing with a sandwich. If you have sausage bacon onion, combine with some of the stuffing and some mayo and you have a gorgeous sandwich filler too. Stuffing freezes really well too. Any bread, even wholemeal or your choice will be great xx
Hello Brenda, welcome to our channel 💚 its so good to have you here, especially from Oregon, which is one of our dream travel destinations, we hear they have beautiful huge trees there 🇺🇸💙🇺🇸
Hi family freedom hope you are well and having a good day! Judes icecream for £1!!😱 cant leave it there for that. At the patomine a small tiny tub is like £4! Im in shock. My mum found a lindt bar of chocolate for 61p! A big bar! I was confused why she bought it. She was like i cant leave it there for that😂im like fair enough😂.katie! What have you done to us,we cant stop saying it😂😂. Where did jojo disapear to😂😂he was in the background in one of the segements of the video with a green Christmas tree hat and then he wasnt behind you😂😂that made me laugh. Live but not live...just finished putting up both Christmas trees. I just found out bad news today the tooth i have been waiting to grow for 5 years! Decides to apear but in the total wrong place! So now i might have to have a operation which i dont want as they might have to give you anaesthetic. I bought a qourn roast today for part of my Christmas diner! Why did i think you where going to shape the nut roast stuffing thing(idk the name sorry😂) into a Christmas tree and then put the star ontop.😂 Beansss!!! Take care Just keep rising 💚🌿🌻
Hi Lana, hope you're well and having a good day too!! 61p your Mum is right! You definitely can't leave it there for that 😂😂😂 Glad you have done your trees, we hope they look nice 🎄 Oh no, sorry to hear about your tooth, that must be very frustrating especially after waiting that long for the tooth to come through :( We hope everything works out for the best. Oo nice, not sure if we've tried a Quorn Roast before, please let us know how it is 😋 A Christmas tree nut roast with a star on top is such a great idea, I wonder if they do Christmas tree shaped tins 🤔 Beansss!!! Take care Just keep rising 💚🌿🌻
@@FamilyFreedom I'm not sure if quorn roast is vegan or just vegetarian I've had it every year and it must be nice if I like it😂😂as I'm a fussy eater😂. The next day I went to the shop and the woman was like do you want an advent calender for 25p I'm like yes please! Where! So I ran I bought 2 for my friends😂can't leave it there for that. I'm sure they do a Christmas tree tin.i think I had one once in the cupboard idk if I still have it🤔. Thank you Take care💚
Would be interesting to see you make a Christmas dinner completely from scratch own meat alternative different to this one , gravy, vegan pigs in blankets etc x
You guys were definitely inventive especially Katie with the nut roast that looked amazing 👏 hat's off to Katie You all did very well it's always a joint effort
That was great!!! Im vegan n have never made my own oat milk or nut roast before.. will defo try! My new years resolution is to eat whole foods only for a year😱xxx
Hi Lindsay, good question! We used all of the mushrooms, and most of the bags of nuts and some bread, 1 pack of the the moons/stars, and got 2 decent sized nut roasts out of it all. The cost of each one was probably about £4-5, which is pretty good considering their size 👍 However, you could probably do the same but cheaper if getting the nuts and mushrooms from somewhere like Asda, Lidl or Aldi 😊
The dinner looks incredible and it’s making me hungry! Haha well done to both of you! I do make stuffing every year by scratch it’s just so much nicer homemade. Gonna have to give making the nut roast a try now! Thank you!!!❤
Bread n butter add chopped brown onion and 3 to 4 stalks chopped celery zmom was American mix it up press in turkey cavity or a loaf pan for you guys it isdelisjh but butter ing or nutlexong. Both sides of a sourdough rye loaf then cubing the bread..
my little brother asked if jojo reads does he have any book recommendations? besides harry potter he's reasd those. just keep rising. when you guys upload a video you always make my day. i love my mum's homemade chestnut stuffing.
thats great that gravy is suitable for guys, im gonna tell my sisters in law about it im not vegan or veggie but i do like trying vegan stuff, im not a fan of everything like ben an jerrys vegan cookie dough i didnt like that but the vegan catherdal city i loved that they got it pretty spot on, only difference was it was more crumbly, ill be having meat this year but ill deffo have half meat and half a vegan part of the christmas dinner for sure
Hi Pearl :) That sounds like a great approach, mixing traditional and vegan options to cater to different preferences. It's great that you're open to trying vegan products, and sharing your discoveries with others 💚 We tried the mature vegan Cathedral city cheese the other day and loved it 😋👌 The variety of vegan options available has expanded so much in recent years, we are so lucky. We hope you have a great Christmas ⛄🎁🎄🎉
@FamilyFreedom I used to never try stuff but now I'm getting much better now, last year we had tofu scrambled egg an they used black salt cos it gives that egg taste an that was lovely so I'm gonna ask them to make it for me at Christmas, I don't know if it defeats the object but I probably would have meat bacon with it but my sister in law said even if I just have 1 thing on my plate that is vegan an the rest is meat at least I'm giving something a try. It's great now that so many things are out that are being made vegan like the cathedral city cheese the only thing I noticed was it was more crumbly but taste wise it was the exact same. Yum 😋
@FamilyFreedom you guys are by far my favourite like you always reply to us guys which is really nice. I hope you, jojo, Bob, Sam, Emily an the little one have an amazing Christmas 🎄 ❤️
Have a question for you. Most Christmas puds have dairy in them so are not vegan. And pre made stuffing balls I believe have either meat or dairy in.I'd check the coating of the roasties too. Just don't want you eating products you shouldn't
@@FamilyFreedom I've been caught out before with dairy. So pleased all of yours were vegan. Love watching you all. Your homemade nut roast looked amazing!

You should do the other supermarkets but then get your actually Christmas day dinner from Borough Market. Go with a free budget and just enjoy yourselves and treat yourselves. You deserve it
Aw thank you Catherine! That is a lovely idea
Well done Bob & Katie, might have to try that because I don’t eat meat ,don’t eat gravy but love mint sauce.🤤
You should try it, and let us know how you get on 💚
It all looked great .I'm a vegetarian , but I don't like mushrooms .I always have mint sauce or mint jelly. Looking forward to your next vlog🐕🐾🐾🇬🇧
Thank you for your lovely comment Patricia 💚🤗
Hi guys, do a mince pie tasting. Buy from all the popular supermarkets. Then taste test them and give them a score 1 for the best and so on. That would be fun and entertaining.. 👍♥👍
Sounds great! 👍

Please make a full video of Katie long hair bun ponytail and single braiding by Jojo
*Well done guys- a resounding success 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🔥*
Shame you couldn’t find more veg but that’s fine.
Hi Family Freedom ❤
Hello. New to your channel. Oregon State, USA

Thank you so much 👌😊
I've never ever had boxed stuffing. Always made it fresh.
Nice 👌 We must learn how to make it 😋
@FamilyFreedom pop across the pond to Ireland and I'll show you guys.
I don’t make my own stuffing but my freind does but I’ve never tried it as her main ingredient is sausage meat and I don’t eat meat
Would you do a shop in say smaller shops e.g co op, one stop or spar? Do price comparison etc
Yes, we'd definitely consider it. Thanks for the suggestion 👍

Hi family freedom hope you are well and having a good day!

My mum found a lindt bar of chocolate for 61p! A big bar! I was confused why she bought it. She was like i cant leave it there for that😂im like fair enough😂.katie! What have you done to us,we cant stop saying it😂😂.

Why did i think you where going to shape the nut roast stuffing thing(idk the name sorry😂) into a Christmas tree and then put the star ontop.😂
Beansss!!!
Take care
Just keep rising 💚🌿🌻
Hi Lana, hope you're well and having a good day too!!
61p your Mum is right! You definitely can't leave it there for that 😂😂😂
Glad you have done your trees, we hope they look nice 🎄
Oh no, sorry to hear about your tooth, that must be very frustrating especially after waiting that long for the tooth to come through :( We hope everything works out for the best.
Oo nice, not sure if we've tried a Quorn Roast before, please let us know how it is 😋
A Christmas tree nut roast with a star on top is such a great idea, I wonder if they do Christmas tree shaped tins 🤔
Beansss!!!
Take care
Just keep rising 💚🌿🌻
@@FamilyFreedom I'm not sure if quorn roast is vegan or just vegetarian I've had it every year and it must be nice if I like it😂😂as I'm a fussy eater😂.
The next day I went to the shop and the woman was like do you want an advent calender for 25p I'm like yes please! Where! So I ran I bought 2 for my friends😂can't leave it there for that.
I'm sure they do a Christmas tree tin.i think I had one once in the cupboard idk if I still have it🤔.
Thank you
Take care💚

Thank you for your kind words 💚 Enjoy taking the challenge in Farmfoods 😊
Love your video
Would be interesting to see you make a Christmas dinner completely from scratch own meat alternative different to this one , gravy, vegan pigs in blankets etc x
That sounds like a great Christmas dinner idea 👌😋

Love these videos. Coming #livebutnotlive from Australia.
So glad you like them 😊 🇦🇺 💙
Could you use the stuffing for bread crumbs.
Jojo Christmas cooking on 10 pounds surprise his mom ?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That was great!!! Im vegan n have never made my own oat milk or nut roast before.. will defo try! My new years resolution is to eat whole foods only for a year😱xxx
Hey Cassie, we're glad that you found this helpful! And that sounds like a great new years resolution too, it's inspiring to read! 👍
Can I make a suggestion you could have used a pkt of stuffing instead of the breadcrumbs in the nut roast. Then you would have had seasoning mixed in.
Thank you so much for the suggestion Helen 🤗
Of the ingredients you actually used for the nut roast how much do you think you spent just on the nut roast?
Hi Lindsay, good question! We used all of the mushrooms, and most of the bags of nuts and some bread, 1 pack of the the moons/stars, and got 2 decent sized nut roasts out of it all. The cost of each one was probably about £4-5, which is pretty good considering their size 👍
However, you could probably do the same but cheaper if getting the nuts and mushrooms from somewhere like Asda, Lidl or Aldi 😊
I make my stuffing
It is really easy
The dinner looks incredible and it’s making me hungry! Haha well done to both of you! I do make stuffing every year by scratch it’s just so much nicer homemade. Gonna have to give making the nut roast a try now! Thank you!!!❤
Thanks so much Nancy! 😊 Let us know how you get on with the nut roast 💚😋
Should have chucked a chia egg in Bob
Good idea, we'll do that next time, hopefully it will help them rise a bit more!Thank you 💚
Also fun fact guys The Lion King will turn 30 years old in June next year and it will be the 30th anniversary
No way 😃 I remember seeing it for the first time!! Can't believe it's been 30 years 👌😁
I can’t believe it either
Iv tried home made stuffing. But personally I actually prefer the packet stuff. Maybe because that’s what I grew up with?
Lol Yorkshire puddings don’t belong on a Christmas dinner 😂
How very dare you 🤣🤣🤣
I love having Yorkshire pudding on my dinner it's the best part of the meal.
@FamilyFreedom Yorkshire puddings belong with roast beef not on a Christmas dinner with turkey and all the trimmings
Beautiful roast Katie...saddly never tried a Yorkshire
Use stuffing mix as bread crumbs
Great idea! 👍
That's inspired
Bread n butter add chopped brown onion and 3 to 4 stalks chopped celery zmom was American mix it up press in turkey cavity or a loaf pan for you guys it isdelisjh but butter ing or nutlexong. Both sides of a sourdough rye loaf then cubing the bread..
Thank you 🙏💚
my little brother asked if jojo reads does he have any book recommendations? besides harry potter he's reasd those. just keep rising. when you guys upload a video you always make my day. i love my mum's homemade chestnut stuffing.
JoJo is reading a book called Holes at the moment, he seems to be enjoying it. Also he has enjoying a lot of David Walliams books in the past 💚
I already have my tree up im not asleep rn
Try making the nut roast into little pie
That’s a great idea 😊💚
you should do a cook book i buy one
thats great that gravy is suitable for guys, im gonna tell my sisters in law about it im not vegan or veggie but i do like trying vegan stuff, im not a fan of everything like ben an jerrys vegan cookie dough i didnt like that but the vegan catherdal city i loved that they got it pretty spot on, only difference was it was more crumbly, ill be having meat this year but ill deffo have half meat and half a vegan part of the christmas dinner for sure
Hi Pearl :) That sounds like a great approach, mixing traditional and vegan options to cater to different preferences. It's great that you're open to trying vegan products, and sharing your discoveries with others 💚 We tried the mature vegan Cathedral city cheese the other day and loved it 😋👌
The variety of vegan options available has expanded so much in recent years, we are so lucky.
Coming to you live but not live from Cheltenham.
Hey Angie 💚
They can only have gluten free oats.
Right, thank you Fiona 😊
South Carolina usa
🇺🇸💙🇺🇸
@@FamilyFreedom we love you too
Have a question for you. Most Christmas puds have dairy in them so are not vegan. And pre made stuffing balls I believe have either meat or dairy in.I'd check the coating of the roasties too. Just don't want you eating products you shouldn't
The ones that we got didn't have any meat or dairy but thanks for letting us know for any others we might get in the future 💚
@@FamilyFreedom I've been caught out before with dairy. So pleased all of yours were vegan. Love watching you all. Your homemade nut roast looked amazing!
Its 3am
Currently eating my sunday roast i made for one and them aunt bessies roasters are the best but are 5€ a bag here . But also caved in and put the tree up for my dog as she loves xmas so treated her to it . She actually thinks shes helping but takin stuff into the garden does not help me 🤣
It sounds like you had a nice cozy Sunday with a delicious roast! Treating your dog to the Christmas tree festivities sounds adorable, even if her "helping" involves taking things into the garden 😂😂😂 Dogs have a special way of making the holiday season even more joyful 💚🤗
@@FamilyFreedom i did thank you . And yeah she loves christmas as she was rescued at christmas eve . I rescued her from some boys in my village who were going to kill her bcos she wasnt a hunting dog so i brought her in and shes been with us for 9years ☺️x
Do you reheat the leftovers for the next day?
The food looked 😋 nice
Absolutely!!! 👌👍😊
