Yeah peppers in funeral potatoes would definitely change the flavor... I like the original recipe. 😊 I loved watching you make all these dishes.
Your food looks delicious ❤
My parents were born in KY, southern Appalachian mountains. My Mom said that if the cubed cornbread was cooked inside the turkey then it was stuffing. If the cubed cornbread was baked in a casserole dish it is called dressing. When I started cooking the Thanksgiving meal, I rubbed kosher salt all over the inside the bird, then placed inside the cavity sliced onions, apple, lemon and orange slices and fresh herbs (parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme). Made compound butter (2 sticks of softened butter, dried poultry seasoning, dried rosemary and thyme mixed together and rolled into a log and refrigerated until solid) then cut medallions of butter and place under the skin all over the turkey then rub the remaining butter over the surface of the turkey. I cook my turkey in a turkey bag. It is always turns out perfectly browned. Then strain the juices left in the bag for turkey gravy. Plus it is always easy clean up.
Printed the recipes below, can't wait to make them this year love your decoration
Hello
Thank you for sharing your recipes . What a blessing to have a large family to cook the Thanksgiving meal to.
I was hoping to have a large family when I was at the age to do so. I do have 2 children & 2 grandchildren that are a blessing. And a few extra people who adopted me as there Mom.
I like to watch you & your family.
I hope your Thanksgiving was a joy & a memory builder .
Looks wonderful.
Can you show us the trick to peeling the boiled eggs next video? I'm curious how to peel them without breaking parts of the egg white.
Cook in an IP
Sure looks good. Wish I could have joined you!
Awesome Job Heather!❤ You forget to show the egg shell hack? Can you show that in a short video!
Heather did you know you can make caramel with sweetened condensed milk take a sauce pan put water in in bring it to a boil with the can of sweetened condensed milk in it open the top of the sweetened condensed milk an stir it as the water boils and it will turn into caramel it is oh so yummy 😊😊 Hope y'all had a blessed an wonderful Thanksgiving
We call that dulce deleche,it is so good 😋 when I was a kid my Tia or Abuela would make that every holiday, all of us kids would look forward to our homemade caramel!!
What are funeral potatoes 🥔 🤔 😳????
@@JeanLatham-n5h yeahhhh..... should we unsubscribe😂
@@JeanLatham-n5h I also was curious of this.
@@JeanLatham-n5h- it’s a delicious potato casserole that is a very popular Midwest dish. Often served at pitch in dinners, or at the church dinner after a funeral. Hence funeral potatoes.
Down here in the south we do cornbread dressing!! My husband is from Detroit so I’ve had stuffing dressing a few times and it made me not feel like I was having dressing for thanksgiving when we were at his families lol!!
Isn't it funny I feel the opposite.
I’m from Detroit and I have always had only cornbread dressing. Of course, my parents were from Georgia. Lol
Yeah
Huge diff btwn stuffing & dressing
I’m a northerner so stuffing it is
Thanksgiving this year included me going to Starbucks for a pumpkin spice latte and Wawa for a turkey dinner 😂🎉
Hopefully this yr u will be with family
@@YeshuaKingMessiah i worked Instacart so everyone could get what they needed for making their dinner.. I saw my family later after dinner. I enjoyed helping others get what they needed so they could just cook and relax….i can run to the grocery stores for them
That is a lot of butter and cheese, now that's my kind of food. 😊
Hi, if you have not tried no bake cheesecake before i think you and your family will love. Its a biscuit base but the filling is usually cream cheese, double cream, dash pf icing sugar then any flavourings. A fave is white choc and raspberry for us 😋
I actually prefer no-bake cheesecake to a baked cheesecake. 😊
@@jenniferhansen3622 me too 😋
I’m binge watching your videos!
An Andes mint cheesecake oh my that sounds so yummy.
Happy Thanksgiving
The girls are a great help 😊
Wow-Wee Heather! That is some awesome Thanksgiving spread! Everything looked absolutely delicious! You and your daughters did a great job. I'm coming to your house next year..lol.😉😁

I know thanksgiving is over and I’m late to this video but I just want you to know my bags are almost fully packed and I’ll be moving in next week 😂❤ this is the motherly energy I needed growing up ❤❤ y’all are amazing!
Awesome Heather!
You go, girl!! Super, super awesome. ♡
Where is your Christmas sweater/shirt?? 😂 I love seeing the girls working together with you to provide a great meal for the family
You are a cooking guru!!
The pies look amazing
I only eat corn 1x/year, around the holidays..I'm a dm2 gf here, so not on my l/c diet that have followed since being diagnosed. I'm definitely with brandon; I love corn casserole!!🎉❤🎉
I want to come to your house for Thanksgiving❤❤
Everything looks so good💯
Hope the Bells had a great Thanksgiving! Just wanted to share this recipe...it's not a Thanksgiving item, but I thought of it when you mentioned not using cream style corn very often 😊. We don't either, but we do have a simple, but hearty casserole that is pretty tasty we like to make in the winter that uses it. Browned ground hamburger, seasoned however you want. Thinly sliced yellow onions that can be raw or caramelized. Peeled and sliced russet potatoes. Canned cream style corn and canned drained sweet corn. Layer it up with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, then add a little milk and bake it off until the potatoes are tender. Sooooo good 😋 Happy holidays!
I make cornbread casserole with creamed corn
It’s got hamb in it and other stuff. So good.
What is the trick to peel fresh eggs? I never heard her say. I have backyard chickens and our eggs are always destroyed if we boil & peel them.
IP! Shells just slip off! It’s becuz they’re steamed in the IP, not boiled.
I add bacon pieces and chopped red pepper to my corn casserole and my family loves it
Congrats 🎉 on *_275K subscribers_* 🎉🎉🎉
So satisfying to watch mama Bell! Feels like I’m there for the prep and just watching lol!
I made a very similar recipe to your funeral potatoes for thanksgiving and it was great! 😍
Do you put cream cheese in Your mashpot if not you should yummy
Just FYI, fluid ounces (volume) and weight are not the same. They are for water, as that's how it's calculated, but other liquids have different weights per volume measurement.
Its very importat to know the difference, especially if your dealing with more of a chemistry type recipe.
Awesome job!❤😊
My parents also made sausage dressing. The night before they would take a loaf of bread and break it into pieces and let it sit out overnight uncovered so that it would get stale. They also added broth, poultry seasoning , onions and celery. They did not precook the sausage, onion or celery. They cooked the dressing in the turkey.
You are a super mom!
Just found your channel 😋❤️👍
Cheddar cheesy potatoes i make for all occasions I get requested for mine guess everyone makes them different lol 😂
😅 as a retired psychologist, you do not have to give reasons to why your kids help you and cook because they’re doing their stuff is a reflection of what they learned as children. They cook not because they want to please you, but because it’s a reflection of being an ordinary family being video or not it’s because they do it out of love and not because they want to please your audience. Other large families that have channels doing for the audience and for the money.
Wow! You could have kept the last sentence, retired psychologist. You speak as you know this family and the other large families in real life. And I'm sure you know none of them in real life.
@@2steppin2cali as a child psychologist, who worked with adopted, throwaway, in foster care,. Therefore, I think I know what I’m saying, because I am so foster kids when there was no room for them and myself, adopted five kids as a single parent. I was told by my parents that when I began to adopt kids, I better make sure that I have the money to raise them properly. The one thing about my children who were adopted, all they wanted to do was to go to school and college, because they wanted to do something with their lives. My kids all went to college and got their PhD‘s, except for one who is obtaining his masters and wants to go to get their PhD‘s except for one that is currently getting his masters, and I am very proud of my children. As a single parent, it’s sometimes got to live their normal life like all other kids dead. My oldest son and his wife adopted nine kids and had one who was their biological kid. Sometimes my son and his wife would would asked me what they should do and I told him to sit down and start figuring out what they should do because they need to know what the effects of punishment would be to their adopted kids. My son is it his wife always figured it out and be appropriate . I think working for 35 years with these beautiful children and the reflection that led my children to adopt as adults. Again, just the bells 10 did the right job when they came to their children. The bells children is a reflection to show the world how to do it.
