- Welcome to my first Dollar Tree Dinner. It kinda got mixed reviews from my family, but I won’t give up. It’s definitely a challenge but I won’t back down! I already have ides to fix and make changes for the next Dollar Tree Dinner this week coming up. The cost was $44 but could be made way way cheaper.
Egg Roll Stir fry Recipe:
Ingredients:
Sweet chili sauce
Sweet teriyaki
2 cans peas, drained
2 bags jasmine rice, cooked
2 bags frozen pepper mix
2 bags veggie medley
2 tablespoons garlic plus 2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons garlic & pepper sesoning
Veggies and pork egg rolls
1/2 cup coconut milk
Oil for frying
Directions:
1. Cook me prepare rice according to big
2. Add frozen veggies, oil, and spices to on and cook on medium high heat till veggies are cooked and water is gone.
3. On another pan add cut up egg rolls and oil and cook on medium heat until egg rolls are crispy.
4. To the oiled wok add rice, chili sauce, teriyaki, coconut milk, and more garlic.
5. Stir in peas and veggies. Mix me cook on low for 15 minutes.
6. Top with egg roll pieces.
Note: when I make this again, I would use insides to put into rice and fry shells till crispy and sprinkle on top.
Stay tuned for my next Dollar Tree Dinner 😉🥰

I am so relieved that you are not like Alicia from the Dougherty dozen
Your RUclips channel is so refreshing as a family channel.
No one forces you to watch anyone. STOP cutting others down.
@@genaday2393exactly can you imagine if everyone was the same!! It’s ok to not like certain peoples style it’s just wrong going on someone else’s page & talking about others. It’s like middle school in RUclips
Polish sausage, sliced into coins, stir fry, and add bell peppers (all colors), sliced, sweet onions sliced, and add garlic powder and seasoned salt. Serve in a bowl or on tortillas. I eat mine with yellow mustard, but the hubby eats his with bbq sauce 😋 fast, easy and cheap 😊
I cook polish kielbasa with bell peppers, garlic, and onions and then serve it over mashed potatoes.
I make this but also add cabbage and potatoes. Usually with a pot of beans and cornbread. It us a comfort meal.
@@143Chelley_Chelle sausage is great with sauerkraut and potatoes too!
I think it’s nice that your family is not afraid to get in the view of the camera. Makes it relatable.
This just goes to show that you are an amazing cook. It's not easy to put a meal together using food from one store that isn't actually a supermarket. You are awesome and inspirational.
Thx
Most of the stuff at the dollar tree you can get at the grocery store
@Justthebells10 heather what is the required amount, that you need for attention, to get you through the day??? Does upper michigan, get that lonely..??
@challenger70fan What is wrong with you? There is no need to be nasty, especially using a comment stream that I started. Have the courage to comment in the main comments if you feel so negative about Heather. It would seem that you are the one who is seeking attention.
@JescaML I live in a different country, so I don't know exactly what you can buy and where apart from what is shown on youtube. I got the impression that there is a limited range of items that you can get at Dollar Tree compared to supermarkets. That makes it harder and a challenge to only use ingredients from Dollar Tree, so in that context, your comment doesn't make sense.
I wouldn’t call your family crazy,
from watching your video you can see all the love and joy within your home. ❤️❤️🙏🙌
Yeah your right 😊
@Justthebells10 l can't wait for your cook book to come out!! Excited 😊 your friend Rebecca we can talk anytime 😊
@@Justthebells10love your videos❤
I totally agree
Dollar tree has some hidden gems. They need to go back to a dollar though because I call it $1.25 tree now.
So what's a quarter?
@@estellaturner4614 They added 25 cents to everything unfortunately. So the things that were a dollar are now $1.25
And?
@@estellaturner4614 and I want it to go back to a dollar tf?
Definitely go back to the $1
1 for team hair down! BUT you're fantastic up or down!
The meal looks great. Heather you do look younger with your hair down. You and Luke are raising such amazing kids/ young adults. You have one amazing family
You are “killing me” using
Your shirt sleeve as a pot holder .. LOL … I JUST ADORE YOU !!! So down to earth ! I’D LOVE
TO MEET YOU
Really cool showing viewers dinner not judt buying stuff
I'm sorry i had to LAUGH when Luke gave you his opinion..😂 😅 😂 😅 😂
We NEED more of your hubby LUKE!!!
Right 😂
I'd say you nailed this challenge. The dinner sounds fantastic! Their Egg Rolls are phenomenal, especially the Lobster ones. Terrific haul!!❤❤
I had a cousin that did masonry cement work for a living & I remember how give out that he was when he came home from work and I love seeing this type of stuff with Brother Luke playing with the kids!!! I love how dedicated yall are to all ur amazing great kiddos!!! Love Y’all & wish I lived closer to y’all so we could be bffs really love y’all 😂❤
I was thinking like Spam or tuna or chicken.......and boxed pots or noodles, veggies, dinner rolls and dessert cupcakes with decorated tops. Fun to prepare a meal from $ Tree, ha!
What a blessing to have a family of 10 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My heart sank when you cut up the egg rolls, I’d so rather have an egg roll, in its natural form to go with my stir fry veggies and rice😋
110%
Lol I commented the same thing!! Why would you do such a thing? And she already had the stir fry veggies, why do you need the insides of the egg rolls? Then you've got these soggy pieces of egg roll skins in your meal. Terrible!
@@DiscoBleu55 I know, it was mind blowing to me, it made no sense at all😂😂🤣
The criticism on this comment is eye rolling yet hilarious…... “My heart sank” …….. “ why would you do such a thing” . I can imagine little old ladies clutching their pearls in horror. 😂😂😂😂😂 She’s not torturing puppies folks.
Your heart actually sunk with how other people eats their food? ok.
I’m so excited for this video. I hate spending money so I’m always looking on ways to save money.
Me too
Pretty in pink!! And I saw the Oreos and thought nooooooo she’s passing them lol. I’m glad you found them.
You should have added scrambled eggs to the fried rice😋
But she was only using items she could purchase at Dollar Tree and it didn’t look like her store carried eggs. With any other situation, I totally agree! 😋
@@staceyslaysdragons691stuff like that and meat needs a grocery store or farmers market trip
I'm so excited about this video. Hope you share more like them. The meal and dessert didn't look bad. I've seen worse.
I get the polish sausage, Spanish rice and black beans and cook in my rice cooker or big skillet.
Ooohhh
Hey my sister, when she does stir fry. She buys egg roll wrappers. But she cuts them in strips and fry’s them like that, and put them on the side so you can add them to the stir fry when you serve it. Yummm so good
Not bad for Dollar Tree so that's about $4.40 per person and that includes a dessert. I don't like soy sauce so i use sweet and sour sauce. I agree crisp up the outer egg
roll. Can't wait to see the next Dollar Tree meal
Blessings to you and your family. 😊🇺🇲
In the end husband's opinion was the honest and most important one... Love your video from Indonesia 👍🏼
Yes. You look younger with your hair down😊
Dollar tree has really gotten better with their food items, esp the variety of snacks. I like picking different things for a 1.25 every time i go. I have found so many different things that i would normally never see and/or buy from the grocery stores.
Happy Monday…I absolutely love you and your loving family…I like that you enjoy exploring new recipes too…It is a fun adventure…You are special for embracing your followers recommendations/suggestions which is awesome…I think you are beautiful inside and out…hair up or down…Thank you, Heather for sharing a part of your life with us…Being from Michigan and having a girlfriend and her adult children living in Sault Ste. Marie and Marquette reminds me of my fun times with her since I miss her… Michigan is so beautiful which will always be my home sweet home…
your family is so adorable.god bless you guys.
Luke had a GREAT IDEA!!! Heather you put your hands behind your back. And let Luke use his hands...lolololol
Yes you do look younger but you look great either way. Your choice girl.
Hamburger helper and a can of biscuits makes a great dinner 👌👌👍👌👍
❤❤❤ good job momma bear you made a meal for your fam😊😊😊
Absolutely!! You look amazing with your hair down!!!
Just put a lid over the skillet for like 10-15 minutes to thaw the frozen veggies, so they will not get too broken up. 😊❤
I love your heart sweater. You do look young with your hair down.
Luke is sooooo funny 😂 😅 😂 need way more of Luke!!!
Heather your first dollar tree meal looked delicious. I love your family!! So much love and happiness in your house. You do look younger with your hair down, but I’m 53 and love to pull my hair up too. It’s a lot easier.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A few eggs scrambled with the rice and peanuts with the veggies 😋 😊
Great job. Blessings to your family in Jesus’ name.
I was scrhooling and found you. Love it! God Bless!
I just found your channel, and I love it! I subscribed right away! I love how I can get ideas for my stockpile, and get more tips with being frugal. You're Awesome!
We make smoked sausage (cut and browned in butter, oil, or bacon grease), then add the pepper and onion blend bags and the Normandy blend. These can be all cooked in a skillet or combine all in large bowl and sprinkle in oil and add garlic, onion, paprika, and any other spices you want, blend well and put on foil covered sheet pans and cook until everything is cooked. Then however you cook them add rice to serve with.
Or use more oil for the egg rolls, and let them sit and cook and crisp instead of bothering them and stirring them too soon and too often… My opinion
Don’t know why people just can’t watch without criticizing 😊
hi i am asian and spring rolls are deep fried and used as topping of the rice veggie mix. im glad you tried to explore. adding coconut milk is also so asian, it actually adds taste to veggies
I don't even live in the US, but i just love watching your vids, lol..
As an asian we mix rice and coconut milk instead of plain water.. they taste great!.. but first you can sautee paprika and union, and then put on the rice mix (with coconut milk, add little bit of salt) .. and for protein you can add minced beef/shredded chicken❤
I think it looks good either way! You’re beautiful either way!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
The pack of little spring rolls are amazing. They are a staple in our freezer. You get 8 in a pack but they are little. All veggie and taste super good.
I am going to try this. I like the idea of deconstructing the egg roll! I will let you know how it turns out!
I absolutely LOVE this idea of making a dollar Tree Dinner , I like the challenge so now I’m going to try it and see what I can come up with! OH and Mrs. Bell I have to agree that you do look younger with your hair down BUT you’re beautiful either way ! 🥰🙏🏼🤍✨
You are just awesome momma Bell!!!❤
I love some of the smaller sizes. It’s just the two of us now. I also do a big snack run before we head to the beach with the family.
Next time, maybe just do a veggie stir fry. Maybe just airfry the egg rolls and each person gets an egg roll, to dip(you could make a sweet n sour dipping sauce).😊❤
My thoughts too, my heart sank when she cut up the egg rolls, it made no sense to me however the rice and veggies looked good👍
Lol when you said "idk why im yelling" nice meal! my kids love dollar tree
You are the modern day proverbs 31 woman! Thank God for your example. Be Blessed!!
You should of left the egg rolls whole and fry them I agree with hubby, the shells will be rubbery 🤣🤣
You are the sweetest. HOWEVER you sound like my Momma "If you don't like it be honest..." someone says i like it but...and then you say "Well, why not. I thought it was good" 😅😂😂😂❤ so cute.
You look great with it either way.. Why people think comments like that is ok is beyond me…
My husband loves DT Spring rolls.
I love watching your beautiful family, thank you for sharing with us!
Your hair looks very pretty down. 😊
I love how the men started coming in the kitchen when that food started cooking and smelling good!!!! Lol 😂😂😂😂 they ready to eat ❤❤❤❤❤ I’m a new subscriber and I just subscribed!!! So I’m learning the family! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I was just watching videos from your Playlist and got a notification of a new video 😊 Been patiently waiting for this video. Happy New Week! 😊
You can tell you love ALL of your kids.
Good woman! ❤
Adult kids are the harshest most honest critics at dinner time especially with new meals oh do I know this as a momma to 5 ages 17-25. Good job momma! I can totally relate to the statement of "I wont be offended, but kinda" I totally get that lol
Fun to watch !😊
Hi Heather...I loved your heart ❤️ sweater. Your hair worn down made you look a bit younger, but I think you look gorgeous with it worn up as well. 😊 As for the dinner, I would have left the egg rolls whole and cooked them in the air fryer. That being said, next time I would try making a different Dollar Tree meal altogether, maybe a casserole of some kind. It's going to be extremely difficult cooking a meal with ingredients from Dollar Tree since blyour family is accustomed to home cooking, which can't compare when it comes to taste and quality. Have a good week. Sending love and blessings from Connecticut.
U definitely look about 10yrs younger with ur hair down..very pretty.
Dinner looked delicious!!!! Im single and live alone so i do $ store meals all the time. If u yse ur imagination and get creative u can make some pretty good dinners. 😊
We use the sausage they have there for beans and rice the kids love it
Say hello to your kitty friend, she is saying hello to you! :)
Bring the cat in. It's too cold for her outside
You look amazing hair up or down and excellent choices at dollar tree🎉🎉.. loved it when your husband started filming you 😂 😊
Your husband saying something in it is rubbery was hilarious. I adore your sweet family.
Years ago the dollar tree where I used to live had a version of chicken fried steak. They were delicious.
I'd like to say I love your stove and I love your videos
Looks good. Everyone likes the stir fried peppers. Thanks for sharing ❤
I am so glad your video popped up on my feed, I have enjoyed watching your videos today!
Could add eggs...just do a chop scrambled in small bits in the wok for going with like a fried rice version too. Get more protein for those big boys. And eggs, well you have plenty of those! 😊 My kiddos favorite dollar store meal was either 1. the Banquet brand family size Salisbury steaks in brown gravy. Get 8 steak patties- 2 per person sized. (We were a family of 4) it was under $5 but that was like over 8 years ago. My kids are grown now. To go with it, I'd get 2 instant mash potato packets. Brand that comes in a redish brown packet that says creamy butter flavored. Their other brands were not good & grainy texture. Then I'd grab a bag of sweet corn & a package of brown n serve rolls. I fed all of us for about $9 with tax,. Using just butter & milk i already had at home. The kids put the extra gravy with the patties on their potatoes. Or 2. The other dollar store meal I'd make they liked was...imagine if a japanese Ramen soup had a baby with an American chicken noodle soup ...this dish would be it's offspring. Lol. My kids loved it. I'd get 5 packets of chicken Ramen noodles, crush it up cook it, but add its seasoning & yellow cap Mrs dash, a little bit of poultry seasoning & crushed celery flakes. I'd add a few heaping tbs to the water to make it a broth instead via using Better Than Bouillon paste- the roasted chicken flavor. I'd then stir in either a frozen Veggie blend or frozen variety corn, or a canned cut green beans drained. I added 1 diced finely carrot too with the deydrated minced celery flakes. Then after I mixed all that together with all the seasonings, broth, noodles, & veggies, I'd add half of a shredded rotisserie chicken. I'd buy them when they would go on sale either bogo or for a $3 half price sale. Simmer on low til carrots etc are tender. I'd serve a baguette crusty bread torn into wedges so as to dip in the soup broth. Id get a $1 baguette in the day old bread section/cart at my grocery store. The seasonings & better than bouillon really gave it it's flavor in the broth. It's a very hearty one pot meal that cost me under $10 to make for a family of 4 plus half a leftover rotisserie chicken after. I'd use it to make chicken sandwiches or chicken salad sandwiches for dinner the next night along with a box of Velveeta mac n cheese & another Veggie. So that meal made 2 very cheap meals, next nights dinner only cost maybe another $5 dollars assuming i had mayo on hand. One meal a week in my household was something easy, quick, & cheap but tasty. Typically weds nights I'd do my quick cheap meal of the week. I'd make more involved & higher cost meals like a pot roast w all the fixings on Saturday & Sunday dinners. My daughters fav weeknight meal growing up was tatertot casserole, my oldest sons fav was taco bar- taco meat lettuce tomatoes onion guac salsa sour cream & tortillas along with Spanish rice and refried beans on the side or a 9 layer burrito he'd make out of it all. While my youngest son's fav weeknight meal was spaghetti with meatsauce or meatballs & texas toast garlic bread with green beans in butter & garlic. I sure do enjoy watching you make such BIG meals for your large family. Hope my few ideas are worth a try, as it does cut costs to every week have 1 dinner night that's very budget friendly, tasty, filling, non time consuming, & covers all the food groups. 😊
Yes 😊
You can take spaghetti or the noodles from the ramen and make veggie lo mein
Great idea! -John's wife
Haha I've never seen Anybody add coconut milk in fried rice ..you are the first for me ...but it looks good
Loving these Dollar Tree videos! You do look more youthful with your hair down but you look Beautiful either way😊
Same here. We have 2 dollar trees. One in spotless, organized, clear aisles. The other one looks like an giant picked it up and shook it!
Hi Heather bell you made it Look Like a masterpiece!! Once again hail to the queen 👸 of cooking!!! BELLISSIMO!!!😊 ❤
I can't wait for your cook book to come out!!! So Excited 😊 your friend Rebecca we can talk anytime 😊 l'm just so happy for you and your Recipes someone got it right at Last!!! ƁELLISSIMO YOUR A success in the making!!!!
Your meal looks good. I've never had egg rolls cut up before. I might have to try it.
Being part Asian, I would not consider those methods. But to each their own. You could have done the eggrolls in the oven, whole, which would have helped keep the filling in tact, and cut them up afterwards. This is why we always have Spam! Say what you will about it, but it goes a loooong way! And imo, it's better than dissecting the eggrolls. You could also make a salad out of the eggrolls instead
Yes. I grew up on Spam. tuna and homemade chicken soup.
Thank you for the tips. I love spam! Please share some recipes. Thats a great video idea
Spam fried rice all the way and I add extra scrambled egg in mine!!… the dollar tree brand spam is saltier but in a fried rice it is passable… mama bell did you buy the potted meat and have kids try it?
Get a bag of wonton strips for the crunchy on top. They are next to bags of croutons in the grocery store. ❤
Watch the pepper and garlic blends. I bought one and it was full of salt, very little garlic and pepper in proportion.
Yes you do look younger with your hair down but you look lovely either way. Hi from the uk x
We use that polish sausage and mix it with fried potatoes. Add some shredded cheese and it feeds a lot.
Love your channel & like your hair pulled up best! God Bless All! ❤️🙏🤗
You need sesame oil when frying up rice in a wok or stir fry oil. Both work great and heat up fast but gives that Asian taste too.
Awesome 🎉🎉🎉
You are so full of joy and it’s amazing to watch! 💜💜💜
You should fry the egg rolls last and then cut them up in the stir fry, also use sesame oil. You forgot the eggs that go in the stir fry. You have to make scrambled eggs to go into with the rice and then add veggies
You should def try Egg Roll in a Bowl on your next grocery shopping trip. It's just Coleslaw mix..your protein of choice...soy sauce..ginger & a few other simple ingredients. Google it. It's awesome for a low carb option too! ❤❤
looks delish! I loved seeing everyone walk in and out of the video too!🤣
Your husband and Izzy gave the most honest reviews.
You have lovely hair .The meal looks great
Great finds
I like how you push yourself to do different meals at different places. I bet though you can do even better at your grocery store it would be healthier too. Dollar tree does have some good things. Great job on this meal though! Wow dollar tree has a ton of seasonings and sauces I will need to check it out.
Thanks for sharing.
