Tytytyty for blurring out ur kids faces. The difference in the vibe/intention/energy of a vlogger with a family vs a family vlogger (who pretty much uses their kid as if they are a commodity)- wow what a refreshing change. Great job.
Thank you for the ideas. You are a true hero. Cooking for 7 heads from scratch. I have one child and I feel like I can’t get my shit together most of the time. Cook every time so spontaneous. Thank you for inspiration. You are amazing🥳
Sarah, I just started following your channel and was surprised to see a whole nother channel of yours with 1+ million subs. My best friend told me about you and the reason why you wanted to make this new channel. I have so much respect for you for not conforming to this world, but instead listening to your duty as a mom and wife. I love these styles of videos, it seems just as organic, personable, and cozy. I also love that you're also a sister in Christ ❤may God bless you and use you for His glory!
As a new mom, I love seeing you work while wearing/holding your baby. It’s such a simple thing, but I find it so helpful and encouraging. I love to cook, especially from scratch, but I’ve been struggling to integrate my daughter into my former rhythms. Watching you do it so naturally gives me hope that I’ll get the hang of it someday! Never subbed to you before but I love your new content!
I love to see how your style of filming has changed so much! how you just leave in the little mistakes, no need to make special intros or anything... you just film as you go and and than talk about it. It is so calming and chill
Would love to see more vegetarian or pescatarian GF DF recipes!! You have the best alternative meals you have helped me become so innovative in the kitchen!
I am loving these videos! I am really interested in making more things from scratch but I am not sure where to start grocery wise. Could you make a video of pantry staples that you always have for scratch cooking? Or maybe a typical grocery list for your family?
I use to watch your other channel a few years ago. I am seeing a huge change in your decor and overall look of your home these days, would love a video about that. ❤
Ahh Sarah!! I love this so much and I am so obsessed with this content! I have loved watching you create this new channel and truly be yourself! Thank you for always being so cool and really showing who you are through this channel! We are both going to be in our home maker era lol! Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day! Happy Friday!!! 💕💕
I found your channel a few days ago, and I can't tell you how much I enjoy your cooking videos. So many ideas for quick and affordable meals. Being Greek myself, i appreciate the fact that you like the Greek cuisine and advertise it to your channel. And yes, you are right, the best salad has no lettuce !!! Thank you for these great dinner ideas!! 🥰🥰🥰
As a new mom, I would love to know what you usually have on hand as your basics! I find I end up stocking up on all the wrong things and can’t make a meal out of them
I started by planning my meals first, can be helpful to start by only planning for a few days at a time to reduce food waste, since leftovers can be planned around in the next few days of meal planning. This lets you find recipes that you love and start figuring out what your pantry basics are! Perfecting this took me years, but now I can easily only go to the store every two weeks and save a lot of money doing this too! Long shelf life veggies and fruits are key or learning to preserve the things that don't last two weeks. It will take some work and time but it does get easier.
I eat a similar diet to her and as pantry staples I keep: Canned black beans Canned chickpeas Pastas (variety) Onions (yellow and red) Potatoes (try golden potatoes and roast them as a side. Yum.) Canned peaches Mac n cheese Bread mixes and/or flours Coconut milk Rice (I keep white and brown types) Different canned tomato products Spices and dried herbs Sauces (vinegars, soy sauce, honey, etc) Frozen food: Meats Bags of veggies (onion, carrots+peas, broccoli, green beans, edamame, etc) Strawberries Emergency bulk food: fried rice. Use frozen onions, peas+carrots or veggie mix, 3 cups of previously cooked rice that’s chilled in the fridge. Makes a giant batch I eat as for days or can freeze half. Hope this helps!
@@SilverHawk214 that’s a really good strategy, thank you! I’m still trying to find my balance with it all to cut down on waste and keep things as cost effective as possible. It’s hard! And much more of a process than I thought it would be.
Can you please do a video on your favorite/ essential kitchen tools and gadgets (storage, knives, small appliances, etc)? So glad you're back on youtube!
I do cashew cream too! Just a two person household here, so i do 2/3 cup of cashew and 1 cup HOT water. Gets a thicker but smooth consistently. To avoid the initial splatter i start on the lowest setting and make my way up to the highest
Top hack. Use a sizzors for cutting pizza. I did it once out of necessity and it was a game changer. Use a large sizzors even a kitchen sizzors but you’ll never use anything else once you start.
I remember the cold tomato sauce recipe from a vlog from about 5 years ago and it has been my go to pasta sauce ever since! I eat it like once a week lol
I dont use sauce for my Flatbread pizza, i just cut roma tomatoes very thin, add salt n pepper, a drizzle of olive oil, some torn fresh basil or shake on some dry, add some shredded chicken, and a little parmesan cheese, and bake, its very delicious Just found your videos, im now subscribed, thank you for sharing. ❤
Can you share what staples you have in your pantry/kitchen that help swap out the premade items. You are so inspiring and I would love to see how you started making all these changes.
Hi Sarah! I love your videos and I’ve never commented before. I’ve recently gotten engaged to the most God fearing handsomest man (praise Jesus) and soon will have to be cooking for us on a tight budget. I would love a video for the poor man’s recipes if possible. It would be a tremendous help! Love your ministry
I'm so glad your channel is back. I loved this video. Although everything is from scratch, the recipes feel like something I could actually do and recipes I know my family would like. 😊
I'm new to your channel, really enjoyed this video. So sorry to see you're in a rough spot in your marriage. We will pray things improve in time, just keep your chin up and take care of yourself in the mean time. Best wishes for that situation. We see you and are here for you. Have a great day, looking forward to more of your videos.
These all sound so delicious! It came at the PERFECT time! I have 3 kiddos and my oldest two have autism so meals are so hard finding things they like, that are good for them, and the right texture for them.
Loving your vids 😊 have just binge watched all of them. Would be really helpful if you added recipes to your info or put the recipes on the screen so we can screen shot ❤
I'm now at home for three weeks and finally will have time to cook some awesome food, which I always put for later and I will definitely try this last recipe, seam supper tasty and summery.
I would watch you cook all day long, if I could. So if you ever want to grace us with a 6 hour long video of you just doing stuff, that would be so great, haha.
You’re just the modern day Mrs Ingalls 😊. Huge respect as I have a tough time with dinners and dinner planning for my 4 kiddos. Maybe it’s a single mom thing. Also so many preferences and likes and dislikes from 4 different humans, I can’t seem to ever please everyone unless it’s crappy high processed food (chicken nuggets and smiley fries).
Hey Sarah! How do you homeschool? Are you part of a home schooling group? If so how do you fit time to take them regularly. And if not how do you keep your children busy, entertained, curious and socialized? I'm so lost I have no idea where to begin with my three year old. I want to take this year to really prepare a good system and plan so I can go into it confident. I would really appreciate a detailed response. Much love💕
As a Dane I just adore you grandmother was Mormor 🥰 but totally need to up my soup game, don't know any Danes making meatballs from skrach 🫣🤣 Also love your new chanel, so relaxing and you really found a balance of having no kids showing, but still we fell they are still. Good job mama 🥰
Lovely video as always, Sarah! These recipes look amazing and delicious! I can hardly wait to give them a try for my husband and me, especially the poor man's meal (finances are tight for us right now). I would love to see more poor man's meals, if you wouldn't mind showing us, but regardless I like any video you make, particularly about the food you make (I'm a foodie for sure, haha!). Have a beautiful, blessed day and weekend! 😊🙏💖
I’m loving this content, Sarah! Super helpful, inspiring, and beautiful! What a way to use the abilities and passions the Lord gave you to benefit your family (and now us) in so many ways 🫶🏼
I made flatbread pizzas for us this Friday night (not sourdough but still from scratch!). Super fast and delicious, plus it was easy to make my toddler one fresh the next day. Thanks!
I actually own a pizza cutter but prefer a knife 😮 I know that’s controversial 😂…. I just find the pizza cutter sometimes pushes the toppings where as a knife cuts downward so doesn’t put the toppings anywhere. Better for your pans to take them off the pans too before cutting anyways
This was so great! It’s so wonderful having your videos to watch again. You’re as inspirational as ever ❤ One that note, the Poor Man’s Meals list sounds like something I need in my life! Could you do some more example recipes that made your list? ❤
As a Greek and since you make homemade pita bread I recommend making a rap with that Chicken breast. The only thing missing in some kind of potatoes. And you have made homemade gyros/souvlaki. Traditionally in Greece we use fried potatoes but you can make the alternative that works for your family. Slices of onion and tomato are the also added in the pita bread. 😉
I’m not sure if they have Amish in Canada but if they do I hear that those with a dairy problem can have dairy made by Amish since there’s nothing but the milk and such in whatever they make and I hear it’s very good
We live in Ohio and I get our milk and cream from the Amish. It’s raw milk still warm from the cow when we pick it up! It’s delicious and you can drink it even if you are lactose intolerant. Definitely the way to go if you have an Amish family nearby. ❤
Could you make a video of easy meals with no use of an oven for newly weds? I know pretty specific but newly weds need a little help trying to figure out what to cook. Like "a core man" meal video!
Dinner inspiration for tonight. Im going to try the Greek flatbreads (but with beef meatballs I have in the freezer). Im so enjoying your new content. It’s so restful and beautiful to watch with a cup-of-tea break. Growing up with you is a bit delightful
One handed kitchen work for the win. That's not easy. 5 kids under seven years old is actually going to be awesome as they grow up together. I know it is difficult now though. You are doing great and I love seeing you work on these videos. My mom raised me to put sugar in my sauce too, but I don't anymore and use other spices instead now. I love simple meals like the one you have here with the pizzas. Nicely done. I have done several simple chicken recipes like the one you have and it helps so much on busy days! Thanks for sharing today. Where is this wrap you are wearing your child on your back from? I need a back wearing wrap in a few months when my newborn is a little bigger. It will be so helpful so I can do work around the home when my older kids can't help me with him.
Hi Sarah Therèse ! You happen to use a lot of apple cider vinegar. Did you know that you can make easily your own (and in no time) ? I bought one year ago a vinegar maker from a french craftsman that I'm really happy with (Vinaigrerie du Clos Saint Antoine). It's much more convenient than the old fashion ones. After that, you just need non pasteurized apple cider (or red wine if you want to make wine vinegar) and a starter (non pasteurized vinegar) and you good to go for years and years ! Bonjour de France :)
I love your videos and I watch these food videos despite the fact I don't eat grains at all lol. I would LOVE to see some grain-free dish ideas if you have any! Or at least meal ideas without bread! If not, all good. (I know I could technically make variations of all these meals but I am just curious any other ideas!)
