🤗🤗🤗. BEAUTIFUL trip and wonderful day with two families who love horses. Both horses don’t realize yet that they’re living in Gods country but soon they’ll be kicking up their hooves loving the clean air when wild fire smoke doesn’t fill the skies. Bet Shy Low Ford will be hiring your son to advertise for them. He has perfect personality and hope he never loses it. He’s a real HOOT. Wish ya could have spent more time with them just to arise and see the gorgeous sunrise but know ya still had more to do. Perfectly said about mother and her children and even crazy husband riding together. It’s a bond like no other and develops trust in horse and each other. Boo boos will happen as predators get the new scent wondering what animals they are now in their country. Ya made lifelong friendships for sure as both families believe in God and family love. Wonderful video and hope to see more of your trip as ya return home. Wonder if ya getting an urge to move cus you’ve definitely seen the best of the country? Living in Wa state we are close in the type of scenery we have. Mt Rainier sits close to us and lots of horse country here as well. I love the thunder of the hoofs as the groups of horses run in the pastures......you can feel the ground beneath your feet move and the sound is so powerful. Love your channel and thank you for sharing with all of us.

It was amazing how you work with the transition of those beautiful horses from your place to their new home.That sure was a very long and tiresome trip. So generous of you and your family to take the time to deliver the boys(horses) to Idaho and spend time with them making sure they are comfortable with the horses and equipment.
This was another great video and your sons were amazing with Melissa's kids. You must feel good knowing the family will take good care of them. Loved the accolades to Show Low Ford. Bought a big smile to my face.

I love your videos, I have watched a lot of them. Most of the time, I have a hard time hearing you guys. I feel left out of the conversation. Your boys are really sweet but they need to speak up. Truth be told, I started following your channel because of the Good Simple Living Family. I consider them friends and family, as I now do you and your family. You do have some great kids and your hard work is awesome. I wish more parents showed their kids that life is not all about waiting for handouts, but being happy with what GOD has given all of us. This video made my heart happy. I am typing this amidst a few tears as I watch and enjoy the GSL family receiving, enjoying and getting to know their ponies. You and your family are exceptional people. It was so good of you to take these ponies in, give them some guidance and training so they could go on and live their best lives in such a beautiful location with such great people.
You are right. Something magical happens when you are riding, or even just among, horses. My daughter rode English for many years from when she was about 6yo until she was about 18. I'd always hoped she'd get into Western riding, but the opportunity just never presented itself.
She's just turned 21 and has returned home from college. One of the first things she said, after being in Vancouver, BC (Canada) for school was that she was glad to be back home in the prairies so she could eventually take up riding again. We've never been fortunate to own a horse. We leased a few while she was more seriously riding, but the nice thing about not owning is getting to try out many different horses, expand your skills and get to know them well. I had never ridden (as a sport) as a child but always wanted to. Unfortunately by the time she was seriously not it, I'd had a spine/spinal cord injury and was unable to partake. Just being among them, however, brought me such peace, calming and love for them.
Thanks for being such a great ambassador for the animal and showing everyone how, what and why horses are amongst the best animals on the planet. You and your kiddos are doing great work with them.

It's a Smart thing to do to desensitize a horse by gently swatting the horse all over it's body like Melissa did on his neck. It could save their child's life on a trail ride through the woods they live in when a tree branch swings into and slaps the horse anywhere on it's body. No need to have a runaway freight train under you when your horse spooks. Too many injuries and accidents happen when a horse has not been properly trained.
I'm not "slapping" him I'm patting him. He's 800 pounds, I'm not hurting him.

Reminds me of when we had horses when we were young. I had a painted pony named Apache. He would bloat, throw me and step on my feet when I brushed him or cleaned his stall. But he was a runner! Loved to run!

Wow, thanks for delivering the horses. You sort of gave us a behind the seen of Good Simple Living. I know it was a long drive, especially with a trailer and horses. In 1987 I was stationed at Luke Air Force Base, AZ. I live in Wisconsin and so it was a new experience for me. Before that I was stationed at Kadena AFB Japan. I love watching Good Simple Living.
