When I was in the Army stationed in Hawaii, my 2 Vietnamese buddies took me to Chinatown in Wiakiki and introduced to Bahn mi sandwiches. I couldn't stop eating them. I had 4 in the restaurant and I got 4 to go... I felt like a damn Hobbit. I had breakfast and second breakfast and 11zees, and then lunch. That's how good them sammies are! This was back in 1989 too!!
I am! I wish there was a Vietnamese restaurant closer to where I live. I would get it all the time. :D I'm excited to go back to VN and have the real deal soon! :) Pho Phu Vuong is my favorite!! Soon!
There are 2 types of pho: north pho and south pho, you should try each type when you go back to vietnam, they are different from each other, I think pho you have in america is south pho,sr for my bad english 👍
I am very impressed your sister the first time eating vietnamese cuisines. She enjoys it. Especially she is not afraid of trying "nuoc mam." Good for you, Brittney! 👍
Phở and Bánh mì are now already become regular American food, imported by us refugee Vietnamese American. I'm very impress your Vietnamese pronunciation, remember there are two sides of Vietnamese culture...Việt vs Việt +.
Wow.. Look at the prices on that menu.. 20 years ago a large bowl of pho in Little Saigon is $5-$6 and is now doubled. My salary hasn't gone up that much. How are we going to keep up with inflation. I don't even want to think about my college funds for my kids but you know what? Your videos make me forget all of the world problems and puts me in a more positive outlook on life.. Carry on with your great work, Audrey!
Audrey, you are a caring person. The way you took care of your little sister was simply touching. I feel your deep love addressed to your sister. You are both so well educated! Your parents did a good job of raising you guys with manners. It was stunning to watch your sister eating Pho and Bún chả giò with chopsticks for the first time. She was pretty good! And plus, she did like nước mắm:). You guys should be born with a bit Vietnamese genes:).
Wow thank you so much for all of the kind comments! I’m so happy that you are able to enjoy my content! Thanks for watching so many videos and being happy!
If the broth is good, I spend a lot more time enjoying it before adding any of the herbs. My local Pho restaurant makes very good broth so I eat the broth by it's self while it's hot. I only add the herbs when I think the soup is starting to cool. Important tip: You can ask that the bean sprouts be blanched so they are slightly cooked instead of adding cold sprouts to your hot soup.
Yeah some places I love the broth so much that I do the same thing. :)) In Vietnam usually. And I didn't know that about the sprouts. Thanks for the tip!
John Doe you're absolutely right, most cooks frown upon adding hoisin or other ingredients to their broth, but everyone has different tastes. I only add Sriracha and herbs, you'd imagine the broth is perfectly seasoned after hours of simmering.
Glad your introducing Pho to your family and she's using those Chopstick like a pro! Haha I can't eat Pho with out Hoisan sauce, siracha, and Veggies. Ate Pho when I was 5 months old haha
Pho is one of my favorite foods. I was just working on the English subtitles and had to stop because I haven't eaten breakfast yet and seeing the pho is making me die of hunger! :D Wish we had a Vietnamese restaurant closer to our house.
Hello Audrey and Huy, thanks for sharing this video. Your sister is so sweet. I wish you guys bring Britney into your videos more often. I am happy to Audrey having wonderful parents and relatives.
Very nice of you to instructions ur sister how to eat Vn noodle and how to eat Vn food in general. Very cool to see. I am glad she like it too. Well done
Same with me and real Italian food..when all you can eat is all you know and cans everything is what you relate to Italian food it is an eye opener to see real fresh Italian food that taste different from one another is eye opening
Oh wow, I recognize this place! I've been there. My grandparents, then my brother, use to live practically just around the corner. When you're around there again sometime, check out Veranda Market if you haven't already done so. It's also on Forest Ave. That place literally has just about everything I would buy out here in Orange County's Sài Gòn Nhỏ (Little Saigon) in California. I was impressed.
Aww thanks! I thought it would be cool to teach her about it. I can't believe she hadn't eaten Vietnamese food before, but then again, there isn't any where we grew up. This restaurant is 2 hours from our hometown.
Glad to see your sister enjoyed eating Viet food. I actually immigrated to the States a little bit 30 years ago. Not many Americans knew about Vietnamese food then. Surprised to see Viet food successfully have entered the American main stream. As a matter of fact, I have had Pho in all over cities in the U.S. and the world because I had spent over 25 years in the U.S. Marines and been stationed in many parts of the States and Asia and the Middle East. Since you're from Italian background, pretty sure you and your sister would like bánh mì. Have you intro Britney to bánh mì?
Yes, I'm glad Vietnamese food isn't too hard to find these days! And I have not shown her the Banh Mi yet, maybe next time she comes to visit me we can go, there are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in NYC.
Glad she was open minded enough to try it and happy she liked the stuff she tried. I love bun thit nuong and would usually order that when everyone else orders pho. LOL. I'd dump the whole bowl of fish sauce and stir and eat away. I figure all the extra sauce just settles to the bottom anyway. LOL! Definitely get her to try banh mi and banh cuon and banh xeo at some point. I bet she'll like it all.
haha yeah if it was only mine that's what I do, dump everything on and go to town! :D Maybe next time she comes to visit me in NJ we can go out to eat in NYC and I'll have her try those dishes too :)
Hurray for Britney! Baby steps to the wonderful world of Vietnamese cuisines. Tasty n healthy too! Can't wait to see your vlogs taking Britney n your parents to Vietnam for some major street food experience. But I think we, Americans r already blessed with so many authentic Pho restaurants all over our major US cities. So wanted a bowl of hot aromatic bowl of delicious Pho to cure the winter blues right now! 😉
Yes Audrey! I think your parents opinion will matters greatly in the culinary world toward Vietnamese food. Since both your parents r top chefs. You n Britney are such lucky girls growing up begin served delicious chef quality food on a daily basis. 😆
Missing saw tooth!!!! Thai coriander!!! That’s what he was saying was missing! I ALWAYS put it in my homemade pho! Yum! I’m so glad she liked it! People that say they don’t like it are CRAZY! Its the equivalent of American chicken noodle soup for warmth and comfort. Pho is The Vietnamese food of warmth and comfort!
As someone else mentioned below, we do not invite the older brothers and sisters to eat as we consider them on equal footing with us at the table. We just invite parents and older folks....if we're proper. Or just give a generic term like "everyone/all" instead of each individual elder if it's a large table full of people. We're probably considered rude/improper with our American ways now. LOL
haha yeah, I guess it's just the way we do it at my husband's home. As I explained to the other person, when I'm in Vietnam I said, "chau mời bà ăn cơm, con mời bố mẹ ăn cơm, em mời anh chị ăn cơm" and then eat. It doesn't take too long and I actually like doing it because I feel closer to the family being respectful of their home culture.
Audrey, from another clip, you said that your family will be in VN for Tet. I hope that you make a clip of flowers market and some kind of a dinner Tet. I have missed all those pictures since 30 years. Thank you very much.
every time I eat phở in the Vietnamese restaurant I requested the waitress who took my oder to give me hành dấm (slided white onion in vinegar) and nước béo (fat broth) that make my bowl of phở tastier.Hành dấm and nước béo are free of charge I think you should try this sometime.
Wow! I didn’t know that there’s a Pho restaurant in Portland, ME. I used to live in New Hampshire. We went up to ME many times, but we always went up there for the lobsters
After watching a few of your videos, I understand why you speak Vietnamese so well. I applaud you and your husband. Love how you get along with your mother in law, I think your father in law loves you too. Learning a new culture of your husband is really tough, you're doing great. Can you believe that 42 years ago the North Vietnamese and Americans were killing each other? Now everybody is getting along and being one huge family. Thanks for sharing your life. Good luck to you and your husband.
Thanks so much. I am so happy to have in-laws who accept me. Of course it's a lot for me to learn but since it's driven by love it's easy. :D And yes, it is crazy how the times have changed for the better. :) Thanks for watching.
a bowl of phở at Vietnamese restaurant in Maine is much more expensive than a bowl of phở at Vietnamese restaurant in Dallas Texas.I paid $8.95 for a extra large bowl of phở at Vietnamese restaurant in Dallas.
I had a very nice memory with Phở. Whenever I eat phở, I usually put a lot of basils and corianders in my bowl. The hủ tiếu bò khò looks very tasty and personally, i always have bánh mì bò kho, not hủ tiếu or mì. And bún thịt nướng looks as if it lacked of some mỡ hành (scallion and oil garnish) , is it right?
Hi Ron! haha you're a food lover like me. :)) And yes, the scallion and oil garnish was missing, though I didn't know it goes on bun thit nuong, I thought it's for com tam. :D
I noticed Huy is holding a small black camera from the reflection. What model is it? And is it the one that you normally use when you film in front of the brick wall? Thank you. Have you visited Little Saigon in California? It's the mecca for Viet food in America. I moved back here after living in WA state just for the weather and the food!
Yes, the camera is the Sony A6000 which is what I use for all my videos. I want to get a vlogging camera since that one is kind of big and heavy to vlog but it's so expensive to buy a camera when I already have one that "works". The camera gives me really good video quality so I'm also afraid to buy something that I end up hating. lol I haven't been to the west coast yet but I'm dying to go and eat all the food there!!! And the weather must be incredible!
I can recommend the place got name is Bon Mua is on Tran Phu A street nearly the beach in Nha Trang city.that place has natural coffee to people to drink it with experience enjoying coffee.
Audrey, I assume you are married into a Viet husband/family/culture. I’m impressed with your Viet’s pronunciation. And remind your hubby(Incase he hasn’t been reminded lately) that you are one heck of a beautiful catch. Thanks for sharing your cool video!!!
I enjoy watching your blog a lot 👍n u r so so cute with ur husband , I married an American husband but he doesn’t speak Vietnamese as much as u do ❤️ keep up blogging!!!
Thanks so much! I'm so happy you enjoy my videos. I will keep posting for a very long time, I'm having a lot of fun making videos and chatting to people like you. :) Thanks for watching and have a nice day!
I enjoy watching and appreciate Britany’s willingness to experience the food, people from the south will not be as brave, but once they tried the two dishes you shown here they come back very often. The line at Pho Saigon in Katy Texas is very long with American family come to eat Vietnamese soup(pho) or bu’n Thit nuong. I don’t cook these dishes at home anymore , we walk about 100 steps and we be at the restaurant. Winter is here there are more people eating Pho when it’s cold. Thank you. See you in your next video.
It's a tradition from the North of Vietnam. You always invite the people who are older than you to eat the meal before you begin to eat. "Em mời anh chị ăn phở" was the phrase. :)
I start a day with cafe sua da . I love G7 Trung Nguyên , too. But I prefer the coffee made my self, its a mix of Arabica, Robusta , and one more type I forgot the name :)
Glad you liked it! I’ll be making a lot of videos of my upcoming Vietnam trip so if you haven’t already subscribed then you should! I’m leaving in 2 weeks and will be there for 17 days.
Audrey, you should tell your sister to go teach English in Vietnam. I bet she'd enjoy it and it pays well for someone her age. I'm trying to get my 13 year old nephew and his younger sister to find a way to teach the college students in Vietnam proper English as a lot of them are not speaking properly or saying words incorrectly. I think they'd appreciate learning to speak with a real native speaker.
I like how your husband and you introduce the food without convincing and how your sister is attentive to your explanations . No matter she likes the cuisine or not , her readiness to discover makes her quite nice ( esp when she pronounced vietnamese ) . And you are not bad as vietnamese cuisine ambassador .Thumb up.
Hmmm well of course the best pho is in Vietnam. In the US sometimes the soup does not taste as flavorful and the noodles are too skinny. They don't get the correct banh pho and sometimes just use skinny noodles. But some places make it pretty good. I haven't tried any pho in California though, I heard the best Vietnamese food in the US is there in "Little Saigon".
Like what Audrey has mentioned is pretty correct :)) From my experience of growing up in a Vietnamese family living outside of VN, our family has always been blessed to enjoy homemade pho made by my mum.. and often we actually prefer eating the dishes made at home than any restaurants, because of how extremely flavourful, richer quality/amounts and of course made with love haha :)) I also like most Vietnamese and asians have many relatives, that have restaurants of the cuisine itself (here in Australia) and they usually would still make it a tiny bit different from how they would make it at home for family, with a difference within the proportions and amounts of the dish (and sometimes it can be expeeeeensive). But oh the convenience! haha I have absolutely nothing against eating out, but just wanted to assure you that you can make those amazing dishes yourself as well! it just take a bit of time and effort... maybe a lot of effort. With practice and time you can surely “master” the art of making pho and the delicious flavourful broth. (wow I am so sorry for this super long “comment” but a round of applause for you, if you made it through to the end ❤️
+senaivi mlo h. yes, that’s also right. Because the parts of California like “Little Saigon” and San Fran. have a huge asian community including Vietnamese, Chinese etc. but also since back in the day when the Vietnamese migrated to the States, a large portion of ppl gathered to the state of California and forming what is now a big tight community of asian Americans. So they have some of the most authentic foods you can find in the U.S :))
The first time you eat pho, it is good but it may not be the best. People have different taste and the spice/ingredients/sauces you add to it makes the broth taste different. Only after you discover which taste you like will you be able to really enjoy it. For example, I like mine to be very spicy and sour.
Haha wow!! That’s a lot! My husband eats one in the restaurant and takes one to go! Haha
Daryll Jimerson haha 😆 👍
You eat like a horse hahaha
I love how educated she is with the Vietnamese culture
Aww thank you! I love to learn this culture because it's meaningful to my husband's family.
Audrey Nguyen I’m Vietnamese and I’m always so happy when I see more people learn about my culture
She got a master degree, so what do you think?
You know you are a true pho lover when you pronounce Pho perfectly :D
Was gonna say - ✊️
starkness65 I do!
Bruh no im r ready a vietnamese soooo... phở
I am very impressed your sister the first time eating vietnamese cuisines. She enjoys it. Especially she is not afraid of trying "nuoc mam." Good for you, Brittney! 👍
I was happy she liked the fish sauce too. A lot of Americans think it's a weird idea, even I was skeptical when I first tried it.
Phở and Bánh mì are now already become regular American food, imported by us refugee Vietnamese American. I'm very impress your Vietnamese pronunciation, remember there are two sides of Vietnamese culture...Việt vs Việt +.
Most people don't know how difficult it is to spontaneously describe a live experience so smoothly and naturally as you did. Many kudos
Thanks so much Minh vu! I am so happy you enjoyed the video! ❤️
This chick enunciates Pho dead on. Even some Vietnamese can’t pronounce on point like that. Bravo.
Thank you! A few people have said the same thing! It's funny because I used to struggle so much a few years back!
Awwww your comments are seriously making my day!! :) Thanks for supporting!
Audrey, you are a caring person. The way you took care of your little sister was simply touching. I feel your deep love addressed to your sister. You are both so well educated! Wow thank you so much for all of the kind comments! I’m so happy that you are able to enjoy my content! Thanks for watching so many videos and being happy!
She had no problem in having a new cuisine. You are such a caring sister Audrey
She’s amazing!
Wow the way the pronounce "pho" is so correct. Even better than most Vietnamese.
Years of practice! :)
Mm i suppose its because the different of regions..
I'm amazed how she says the correct way of the word pho, most people say it wrong by emphasizing the "o" when it sounds more of an "a"
hehe thanks! It took years of practice (learning Vietnamese) to get it right. :)
I have when people say "faux", I cringe every time. :D
You're a very smart women, wish you the best of luck!
Thank you very much!
If the broth is good, I spend a lot more time enjoying it before adding any of the herbs. My local Pho restaurant makes very good broth so I eat the broth by it's self while it's hot. Pho is one of my favorite foods. I was just working on the English subtitles and had to stop because I haven't eaten breakfast yet and seeing the pho is making me die of hunger! :D Wish we had a Vietnamese restaurant closer to our house.
Wish Viet people live in Maine haha
I live it to see Americans enjoying Vietnamese food. 👍
It's a great cuisine!
Hello Audrey and Huy, thanks for sharing this video. Your sister is so sweet. I wish you guys bring Britney into your videos more often. I am happy to Audrey having wonderful parents and relatives.
Hi! Thank you! I wish she could be in more videos too but she, along with my family members, live far away from me.
Very nice of you to instructions ur sister how to eat Vn noodle and how to eat Vn food in general. Very cool to see. I am glad she like it too. Well done
Thanks, and thanks for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. :)
Same with me and real Italian food..when all you can eat is all you know and cans everything is what you relate to Italian food it is an eye opener to see real fresh Italian food that taste different from one another is eye opening
True!
Wow that’s really cool! I’ll have to check it out if we are ever in that area again!
SO CUTE! Love the way how you teach you sister Viet culture and how lovely you are
Aww thanks! I thought it would be cool to teach her about it. I can't believe she hadn't eaten Vietnamese food before, but then again, there isn't any where we grew up. This restaurant is 2 hours from our hometown.
Great video! I love your sister's shirt! The food looks great, especially the second dish that you had. Makes me want to try Vietnamese food now!
Thanks, Steven! You haven't tried Vietnamese food before??!?!?!?
Good to see you guys teach you sister how-to eat Vietnam food
It was a lot of fun!
“ Em moi anh chi an Pho “ - You speak Vietnamese rather well . You and your sister have very charming smiles :-) :-)
Glad to see your sister enjoyed eating Viet food. I actually immigrated to the States a little bit 30 years ago. Not many Americans knew about Vietnamese food then. Surprised to see Viet food successfully have entered the American main stream. Yay! I am so happy you like it! I was so excited to share it because I knew it would be interesting for a lot of people here. :D

Wow. I like how perfectly you can say "Phô". It sounds better than when I say it. 😁
Haha seriously?? I guess that’s years of practice!
Haha. Yes.
Hurray for Britney! Baby steps to the wonderful world of Vietnamese cuisines. Tasty n healthy too! Can't wait to see your vlogs taking Britney n your parents to Vietnam for some major street food experience. Audrey Nguyen have you tried Vietnamese dessert? Its quite different.
Yes Audrey! I think your parents opinion will matters greatly in the culinary world toward Vietnamese food. Since both your parents r top chefs. You n Britney are such lucky girls growing up begin served delicious chef quality food on a daily basis. 😆
Yes, it's very different. I prefer American dessert. 😂
hahaha awww you're so sweeeet :)

haha you think so? :)
I love your sisters shirt and attitude!
I’m glad!! Lots of people appreciate her willingness to try new things, myself included!!
You know Vietnam so well by pronouncing correctly the word Trung Nguyen G7:). It’s amazing!
Hahahahaha thanks! I love Trung Nguyen brand!
You should try egg soda, 7 color rainbow Desert, sugarcane drink, salty plum.Ox tail pho is also good. Try bun bo hue.
We normally have lime, basil, rice paddy herb, sawtooth herb and thai basil here in Vietnam. You can order extra onion, bean sprouts, and chillies ^^
Yum yum yummmm

Audrey, from another clip, you said that your family will be in VN for Tet. I hope that you make a clip of flowers market and some kind of a dinner Tet. I have missed all those pictures since 30 years. Thank you very much.
Hi Dat. Yes, I will be sure to take some videos on "flower street" and also the food we eat. Can't wait to share with you! :)
Aubrey: So this is hoisin sauce.
RUclips sub: So this is poison sauce.

Sounds interesting, I’ll have to try it sometime!
The missing herb/long leaf is called ngo` gai. It's in the cilantro family but with a stronger taste.
Yeah it can be hard to find on the east coast.
Wow! I didn’t know that there’s a Pho restaurant in Portland, ME. I used to live in New Hampshire. We went up to ME many times, but we always went up there for the lobsters
You are the Best Sister Audrey !!!
Awww thanks!
How long did it take for you to pronounce "Phở" correctly?
Hmmm maybe 2 years 😂
You are the first caucasian to pronounce "Phở" correctly. Bravo.
hahaha thanks! I know a lot of people say it like "faux"

Pho is very easy to eat and the flavor is what you want to put in it
Yes it's so good! I can eat it everyday but it's not close to my home.

OMG i love your sister's voice so much
❤️❤️❤️❤️
What do you prefer? Cafe Sua Da made in Vietnam, or made in US?
In Vietnam of course!
LOL!! You're so adorable "give it a whiff, smell it what do you think?"
Hahaha :)))
After a long hard day, watching you is so relaxing.
It's 10:00 pm in Holland. Good night sweetie, lovely sister.
Sleep tight my love!
I noticed Huy is holding a small black camera from the reflection. What model is it? And is it the one that you normally use when you film in front of the brick wall? Thank you.

If you 2 are ever out to Orange County CA to vlog about little Saigon, you can stay at my place :-) My wife thinks you're beautiful!
You guys are the best!
lol thanks! :)
Wow your pronunciation is on point! So impressive coming from a Vietnamese who’s handle on the language isn’t that flash lol
Thank you!! It took a lot of practice
I love how you say pho
Hehe thanks :)

Audrey is awesome!
Thanks!!!
Audrey,
I assume you are married into a Viet husband/family/culture.
I believe the ngò gai are called sawtooth herbs (?). Not many places in the US serves phở with it though.
Yes!! We actually found a supermarket in NJ that carries it so we are happy :))
In the South, we call it Culantro.
It's nice to see you guys tearing up the basil because it brings out the basil flavor even more.
Would be a crime not to! Lol
I have heard of and been meaning to try this restaurant. I usually go to Veranda or more recently Pho Hong in Scarborough since I live in old orchard.
It’s pretty good! :))
I like the part where ur sister put like 3 bean sprouts in her bowl, i usually go for a hand full LOL
HAHAH
Amazing Audrey! I like the part em mời anh chị ăn phở! I guess your anterior life was Vietnamese:)!
I completely agree with you!
we have that herb in Des Moines IA. I get it every time I get pho from my local Vietnamese market
Oh that's good! I really love it!
Interesting. I think a lot of people are very close-minded about "exotic" foods. I'm glad my sister was willing to try everything. :)
Omg,I love PHO!!!!😱😱😋
What did you teach your sister to say in Vietnamese? I so glad she likes the food! I didn't have Pho until I was in my 20's!
It's a tradition from the North of Vietnam. You always invite the people who are older than you to eat the meal before you begin to eat. "Em mời anh chị ăn phở" was the phrase. :)
Audrey Nguyen Do South Vietnamese not say this?
I start a day with cafe sua da . I love G7 Trung Nguyên , too. But I prefer the coffee made my self, its a mix of Arabica, Robusta , and one more type I forgot the name :)
Sounds good! I actually start my day with a glass of cold water. :D It's all I normally drink. :D Aside from Bubble Teaaaa
Audrey Nguyen bubble tea - trà sữa?
Yes! :D
Dễ thương quá😊
It’s so cute 😊
❤️❤️❤️
I love your voice. The way you pronounce your Viet is wonderful.
Aww thanks! :)) Hope you enjoy my other videos. We just got back from a trip to Vietnam so I'm sharing all those vlogs.
I love vietnamese girls they love me long time
Very nice and good iinstructor. 👍🏻
I'll go in June to Vietnam to try Pho for first time. 😊
Glad you liked it! I’ll be making a lot of videos of my upcoming Vietnam trip so if you haven’t already subscribed then you should! I’m leaving in 2 weeks and will be there for 17 days.
11:09 her face likes " Oh no, I have to eat that sh*ttt"
😂
13:40 lmfao it's ok I can do it myself 😂😂
Audrey, you should tell your sister to go teach English in Vietnam. I bet she'd enjoy it and it pays well for someone her age. I'm trying to get my 13 year old nephew and his younger sister to find a way to teach the college students in Vietnam proper English as a lot of them are not speaking properly or saying words incorrectly. I think they'd appreciate learning to speak with a real native speaker.
haha that would be cool but she doesn't like to go abroad for a long time.
I love pho, thanks you was intruded Pho with your friend
She is my sister :)
Your sister uses chop sticks like a pro! Im over here asking for a fork at a pho restaurant. Image the looks i get haha 😛😛😛
hahaha whenever they bring me a fork I'lm like, "excuse me???" hahahah
Audrey sister so cute she's try eat Vietnam food and coffee ,lol
:)) I'm so glad we made this video. I'll have to show her something else next time we are together!
You’re Vietnamese accent is really good!!
Thank you my dear! :)
I like how your husband and you introduce the food without convincing and how your sister is attentive to your explanations . No matter she likes the cuisine or not , her readiness to discover makes her quite nice ( esp when she pronounced vietnamese ) . And you are not bad as vietnamese cuisine ambassador .Thumb up.
haha so glad you enjoyed the video. :)) Yes, she isn't a picky eater so I guess she was easy to please. :D
You pronounces everything so perfect! Better than me
Are there any differences between the Vietnamese pho and the pho that's made in the US? What do you prefer?
Hmmm well of course the best pho is in Vietnam. In the US sometimes the soup does not taste as flavorful and the noodles are too skinny. They don't get the correct banh pho and sometimes just use skinny noodles. But some places make it pretty good. I haven't tried any pho in California though, I heard the best Vietnamese food in the US is there in "Little Saigon".
+Audrey Nguyen I also heard about that😉 Because lots of Vietnamese are living there👍
Like what Audrey has mentioned is pretty correct :)) From my experience of growing up in a Vietnamese family living outside of VN, our family has always been blessed to enjoy homemade pho made by my mum.. and often we actually prefer eating the dishes made at home than any restaurants, because of how extremely flavourful, richer quality/amounts and of course made with love haha :)) I also like most Vietnamese and asians have many relatives, that have restaurants of the cuisine itself (here in Australia) and they usually would still make it a tiny bit different from how they would make it at home for family, with a difference within the proportions and amounts of the dish (and sometimes it can be expeeeeensive).
I made it through the end :D
Pho is the best pho-ing thing ever!
Agreed!
Love your pronounciation in VNamese....Just perfect!
i love Phở so much!
Me too! It warms the soul!
BRUISE THAT BASIL FIRST!!!!! It releases the oil into the broth!
She's a helicopter sister LMAO
The first time you eat pho, it is good but it may not be the best. People have different taste and the spice/ingredients/sauces you add to it makes the broth taste different. Only after you discover which taste you like will you be able to really enjoy it. For example, I like mine to be very spicy and sour.
That's true, everyone has a different taste in pho!
The way you say Phở sounds so like a Southern Vietnamese accent.
You folks make me hungry 😋
Hehe sorry :))
Your sister’s voice is so cute
Awww thank you!
She be like dang let me eat ! I can figure out how to eat on my own
hahahahah omg
This is in Maine tho you live in Maine???
whoaaa. you drank coffee here! hahaha.
hahaha can you believe it?! But only because I was eating with it, and had to drink it slow otherwise the coffee sickness would take over!
