I have heard of John Farnham but have not listened to his music. Well, I thought I hadn't until I looked him up and found out that at one point in time he was a member of the Little River Band. He left that band to pursue a very successful solo carer in both Australia and the US. But, back to Erik. He is a phenominal singer and he really knocks it out of the park with this one. I really enjoyed it.
No kidding? The Little River Band! Nancy and I were just talking about them oddly enough. I think I'm going to have to check out his solo stuff. Thank you, sista ❤️

Thanks for the review! John Farnham is an Australian singer. This song was very popular in Europe in the 80's. I think you can call it a one hit wonder (at least I don't know any other songs by him). I think Erik's version was amazing. For me, it wasn't as good as the original, but definitely one of the best covers I have heard.

Hey both! John Farnham LIVE is phenomenal. His vocal range, agility and flexibility is insane. Maybe a one hit wonder overseas but he has a tonne of fantastic music.
When he sings live you get to see his power and range and flexibility. His covers of HELP, Black Dog and Long way to the top are phenomenal and check out original songs too. Some you might find very naff 80s and 90s but he has others which lean more into the rock genre which weren't as popular at least on radio. Please check him out. You won't regret it!
John had a 50 year career, just recently fighting throat cancer so don't think he will be singing again. He is known as The Voice in Australia and is much loved for his phenomenal voice but also for the the beautiful person that he is. His version of this with the MSO is mind blowing.

Well. Science you stumbled up on this song, you should definetly check the original singer John farnham is the voice. His voice and vocal range makes him one of the best male singer of all time and master of every music genre. Eric did a Great cover of this anthem song. ❤

When reacting to John always do LIVE. He is even better on stage than in the studio. He is a phenomenal vocalist and a spectacular showman. His concerts were always sell outs. The whole concert with MSO was great and he did a version of this song at this event. John is music royalty in Australia.
