thank you for this! I have oily but dehydrated skin and have clogged pores. How do you feel about an oil or reclusive step after moisturizer to lock in the moister to help with dehydration? Will this trap bacteria in my clogged pores?
As long as your skin was clean before, you should be fine! Keep in mind, the more occlusive your top layers are, the more intense the “actives” you use underneath could get. That’s potentially a good thing, but could also lead to irritation if overdone, so just keep an eye on your skin.
Thank you for the very informative video! I had a question….what’s the difference using a hyaluronic acid serum and niacinamide serum in a skincare routine? Do you need both? If you do… how do you layer them? Thanks
Niacinamide - helps a host of skincare problems Hylauronic acid - is a humectant that binds water to the skin If you want a more targeted approach then yes but u don’t technically need both. They’re in everything these days! X

Or is it a completely different chemical structure that has similar effects? Also, thanks for the videos and information! You’ve taught me so much since I started watching over a year ago.

One thing you can do to make the BHA liquid (the salicylic acid exfoliant) more effective is apply it VERY first after cleansing and let it sit on your skin for 20-30 minutes before you apply anything else after it. This will let the bha work at the correct ph level for as long as it’s able to before you’re applying something else on top of it. When u apply something on top of it immediately after you apply it, you change the ph level which makes it a lot less effective or completely ineffective. So give that a try, apply it to dry skin after cleansing (first thing u apply) and leave it for 20-30 mins, the. Follow with a moisturizer. Also, keeping your routine really simply while ur battling the clogged pores will also help. If alot of pore clogging products are being applied every day , you’re immediately counteracting any results the bha is giving you. Give it a shot!! With using the bha correctly, using a retinoid product in your evening routine and keeping a simple routine, I think you start getting the results you want!
Quick question, do you know the percentage of niacinamide in your Vitamin C Super Serum Plus? It’s a very effective product for me and I’ve been curious of the percentage breakdown.
