Haven't watched it yet but I'm guessing it's a 43 minute compilation of you ripping your shirt off and snorting chalk?
Exactly
That would be siiick bruh
I would watch that
Idk about chalk but I was snorting when I read this
@Abel Abel Sounds like a great collaboration idea! :)
I had no idea that between composing the Four Seasons in the 18th century Antonio Vivaldi was also scoping out 8B's, what a machine.
I was looking for this exact comment, thanks man
Really confuses me that Magnus doesn't know Vivaldi...
Was looking for this comment 😂
Came here searching for this too. It's sick to know that besides being a musical genius he was one of the greats in Rock Climbing history as well
The Four Seasons is inspired by his experiences bouldering at different times of year.
@@JonnyDavidC That's why Winter sends it the hardest.
Adam was like: "You're gonna beat me in a competition? Well I'm gonna downgrade the boulder you've graded."
I'm curious what happened? What competition did he beat him in and what boulder did he downgrade?
@@jethroroy the last boulder problem in this video
@@jethroroy It was a chest shaving competition.
Lol fr. Kinda petty if you ask me
@@chuckiesrus1399 the way he speaks
About it it didn’t seem like it was petty.
Million subscriptions idea, One non-stop trip climbing on all 7 continents +/- Antarctica, I'd donate to that plan.
david hardwick so would I!!
Seems like a great idea except Antarctica looks more like a punishment: ruclips.net/video/ZRKsFAPpxgY/видео.html
Maybe New Zealand instead of Antarctica? Or...how about climbing in some location every 20(+/- 5) degrees latitude...between 60N and 60S. That is 7 places...without freezing your fingers off.
You did release it Magnus, Good job 💪 look forward to watching this later 😎
This must have taken a really long time to edit. We appreciate all your hard work Magnus, keep going. Soon we'll be 1 million strong.
Ryba Is there more to say?
Nobody felt inclined to check the comment section.
Close to it now brother
@@tylerandleahcanadian3888 less than 8 thousands now :)
He is at 1.02m right now. 🎉
I found you thru Juji, I never climbed in my life, I now have a 24 foot long climbing wall for me and my kids in the basement. Thanks for being awesome!
You have a massive basement.
Awesome Dad move.
Same for me, except for the climbing wall and kids. I was watching a lot of Juji videos and this guy pops up for some grip challenges. I got some recommendations for his vids and got hooked. I watch Magnus's channel way more than Juji's now.
holy shit that's awesome
Wtf why is your basement so huge😂
Antonio Vivaldi was not only a great composer, but also a very good route creator. What a talanted man!
I cracked up when I heard Magnus say Vivaldi probably found the problem 🤣🤣🤣
i love the worst rated gym story! its so wholesome
Definitely scrolled down the comments to search for anyone commenting this. It's cool to see what this impact this channel can have. (Although I'm not entirely sure google ratings matter that much)
@@ian4683 It all depends how many votes there are and I always look for the comments. Often people are just pissed because it was too full or some other shit.
@@Luckma1 You also got all the people who gave it a 5 star just cause Magnus liked it and never even went there. So yeah, the rating means nothing.
Needs to be a series whenever he visits a country/city
Nextime i'm in tokyo i'l definatly visit!
This man didn't get the documentary he wanted, so he made the one he deserved. Magnus keep fighting the good fight.
What documenatary did he not get?
@@ThatSB the one he wanted.
@@beezow7113 lol
hope its a good documentary for the future.
@@ThatSB Have you considered watching the video you're commenting on?
1 million sub dream: Maybe a collab with one of the big names in climbing. It would be extremely cool to see you climb with someone who actually climbs harder than you. Just for once. After all, we never got that Adam Ondra collab.
YES. Bring Adam in!!
Collab with Adam Ondra, Alex Megos and Jakob Schubert is dream material
@@meghanhorvey9575 It would be so f.... cool
@@eliasbrattlisrensen9256 Yeah, just one of them would be unreal. It could be someone else too though
would love to see him do a collab with his old friend jakob schubert!
i just wanna take the time to appreciate the person who pulled the kid in purple away from magnus at 15:28 to make sure she was safe
There is SO MUCH work has been done for that amazing video!!!! HUUUUGEEEEE!!!!🤘
@Anton Fomenko
Love your videos and colabs with magnus, juji and tom
1 Million Subs Idea: Get ultimate revenge on Adam and downgrade Silence.
this is lowkey one of the best comments I’ve ever seen
@@Lucas_Avello I agree!
Yes
this
pffff, I say upgrade it to claim you're a 9c+ climber for the ultimate flex
12:08 Wow seeing the new rating of the climbing gym in Japan was so wholesome. I'm glad they are doing so well now!
Getting to shoot with you that day was one of the best days I've had. Your kindness and skill really motivated me to continue pushing my climbing and help others in the climbing community .
The story of how you defeated Adam Ondra in a competition and then he went and downgraded your project right afterwards is pretty wonderful hahah
It's just such a "only the greatest climber of all time could get away with something like this" story. I love it
Remembering it like yesterday, working as a volunteer at that comp! Two big stars in a small small town!
hehe, adam ondra is a dink. i got it
What climb did he downgrade? I know nothing about this and need to know more 😂
@@stephenhirst1 same here
I think a compilation of coolest moves or sequences would be cool with a little explanation of the micro beta needed. Might be hard to find them all but I'm sure it would be worth it
Sounds like a documentary called "All Out" might be a good 1 million subscriber celebration.
For the 1M sub video, hire a crew and choose a hard route, and give us the damn documentary we all want so badly.
Oh yes, that would be so cool! The documentary should also be about his long term preparation for his project
if the million happens after covid u shoud get everyone who has come on ur channel as a guest and do a competition!
best idea i’ve seen
You could do it similarly to the "battle of the bouldering titans" where every competitor builds one problem
my thoughts exactly!!
i think we also need ondra to make an appearance
I was thinking in a similar direction. If possible, please do at least a video with Juji & Tom, they pushed your channel a lot and they are awesome as hell and you 3+ people did really great together!!
This is literally a video I have wanted you to make for so long. Watching you do hard bouldering and sport climbing is amazing
1 million subs video : A trip to Fontainebleau with Marte where you could try all the famous french boulders!
40:32 favorite part of the video. Shows how you don’t want to either let yourself down and the people you are with down. How rock climbing is more than strength and completion rather a testament of where you are and how you got to where you are now.
Really impressed with this video Magnus. It’s so cool to see how RUclips has been just an extension of your life, with how naturally you began your own channel and how you were welcomed into it too. So many videos and clips and how you almost had your own documentary too! It definitely looks like you are in the right spot in your life Magnus. Keep up the fun and entertaining and new content. We love you Mr. Meatball.
SLAB OF THE WEEK COMPILATION!!!!
"its only adam ondra and i who have done this boulder"
Not a thing many can say these days :)
Such a big flex
For the 1 Million Subscriber video, establishing a new route would be pretty special!
Seeing the whole process of finding a line, cleaning and bolting it, working out the moves.
Even if it doesn't go in that video, I think it would be quite entertaining (and also educational) seeing how that is done!
great idea!
These are absolutely my favorite type of videos, just Magnus doing hard climbs with his thoughts and commentary over super relaxing music. 11/10
That Tokio climbing gym video just gives me such good vibes and I love how the community gave that gym the rating it deserves :)
I’ve never seen Tokyo spelt like that before and for some reason it just looks right now haha
@@MF-CLIMB Haha woopsie, small slip up as I accidentally used my native Dutch spelling - thank god I'm not an English teacher or something (*sigh* corrected too many exams today) :D
@@robbedoes77 hey I really liked it and your English is brilliant 😊👍🏻
43 minutes but felt like 10! Such a great video. That last boulder was crazy! What an honor to share it with Adam Ondra lol
Hey Magnus we would love to see a video on the moves and muscles, you consider, that are the gaps in between grades. Like the gap difference from a V2 to a V3 is that the moves could be farther away and that the strength you need is more focused on your fingers or hand to grab the holds. so what would be the gaps from V6 to V7 and V7 to V8 and so on?
RESPECT, stay strong
That ending is amazing.
Be proud of the old videos with "bad" quality, it show's your progress as a youtuber!
A 10 hour compilation of every time Magnus has taken his shirt off on camera
For the 1 Million subscribers video: battle of the Magnus' you make a chess & climbing duel with Magnus Carlsen
Ajajajja
i love this type of videos! So satisfying see you just climbing.
I would love to see the hardest boulders that you haven't completed - I particularly enjoyed your recent multi-episode projects. It's so fascinating; seeing a professional's approach to something that challenges them.
1 Million Subscriber special: Flashing Silence and downgrading it to 9b ;)
Great video Magnus! I love the voice-over insight to these hard problems. And the mixture between alternating indoors/outdoors was quite refreshing.
Awesome compilation, especially that last one - stunning...
Thanks for all the hard work and inspiration, Magnus!
Illl speak for everyone, the quality isnt whats meaningful, so dont focus so hard on how good or bad the footage looks.
Yeah, it never remotely crosses my mind that the footage is lower quality unless he says something.
for 1M sub I would suggest a collab with the youtube climbers (eric & co, the bobats, matt groom, louis parkinson, ...) in font or albarracin!!
I think either we have to hope the Road to 1M takes a while longer or Covid is gone faster.
I've enjoyed every second of this video! And that ending, with all its story behind that last problem, felt kinda emotive. Thanks for sharing all that, Magnus!
I'm really enjoying watching you climb these boulders along with your thoughts and explanations. You make so many of these look easy and that is what blows my mind. Great videos Magnus thank you!
I'm being ultra optimistic, but, I'd love to set you collaborate with a bunch of people you've done in the past and just do a massive climbing trip. Heck, maybe even try to climb Yosemite and film it.
visit to yosemite would be amazing
but magnus has been very boulder oriented at least in videos so would maybe have to change training styles
@@lalal278 He's said in past videos that he enjoys lead climbing much more, but does the bouldering thing because it makes for better content.
15:30 "Step aside, greatness is happening"
I think it's more like "watch out, that dude may fall on top of you", haha.
@@danieljensen2626 yeah seems like the instructor could tell that there was a possibility of swinging off the last move
This is definitely my favorite video of yours! And the final boulder and story was just WOW!! Thanks for the hard work put on the edit of this video, and congrats for being just this awesome
Great footage from your project boulder. So glad you were able to get and use this.
Would be awesome to seeing you on a big trip (when possible) trying and projecting either an 8c Boulder or a 9b+ route. For the 1Mil. Subscribers 😉
8c+ Boulder
A little too ambitious thinking he will set new bests 5 years into retirement... but it would still be cool to see him push himself.
Makes video about boulder that took him 26 tries....
Magnus: Doesn't include it in the most difficult boulders of his life video hahaha
Haha it was so recent I didn't think it would be interesting
@@magmidt The fact you can make a 40+ minute video of only hard boulders shows what a beast you are! Inspiring content.
I was expecting to see that boulder too! It may not have been 'recent' a year from now when revisiting this video. Plus the extra context that you give on these climbs in the voice over is the really interesting part.
One of your best videos man!! Incredible!
One of the best climbing videos I’ve ever seen Magnus. Think it’s so good as you really talk through each problem. Makes it much better than passively watching high level climbs. Thanks for this. This is a climbing movie !
I'm excited for the unfinished boulders.
I only found you this year, as I just started climbing half a year ago. Even though I watched a shit ton of your videos, this collection is greatly appreciated.
Wicked good video Magnus. Great job!
Vilket fint arbete!
Magnus, all of your videos have such a high quality that every single one could be the million-subscriber-video
So true!
loved this format, i'd happily watch a ton more of this
Excellent video! I got chills with that last send!
Loved this video Magnus. Really interesting and awesome to watch.
Wow! I didn't even realize it's a 43 min long video. Felt like 10 minutes. Good job on all those boulders. Really inspirational!
Damn, All In All Out looks insane! Wish we could've seen the documentary
I loved watching this!! Your dedication and success in climbing and making videos is amazing
I loved this video, your commentary compliments the hard climbing really well. Keep em coming.
Can't watch it yet, haven't finished the Italy trip vlog atm but I'll be back here within the hour for sure !
*magnus beats adam in climbing competition*
Adam 1 day after he heared that magnus did this boulder: „im gonna end this mans whole career“
Can you tell me which event you are refering to ? I can't figure it out
@@vinix38 watch the very end of the video if you haven't yet, Magnus explains it.
He freakin downgraded the route. Was he trying to give Magnus the finger??
I can't help but smile the whole time. Best inspiration ever !
For 1 million special, would love to see a video where you work with the routesetters at one of your gyms and make/send some hard and cool boulders! Love the videos, keep up the good work!
the best climbing video I've ever seen on this channel, no doubts. I was continuously looking at the time left hoping that it would last forever. Thank you
The best video I has seen of Magnus in my life
This was an awesome change of pace. We all love to see failures especially when they are overcome.
Another beautiful exposition. The mind during the climb bravely on display. Hard to look away at others.
For the 1M sub special: I would love to see you projecting a really hard sport route (9a+/b?) Or you could spend some time on the hardest indoor route (the project) 😎 love your vids! Keep going 😎 just would love to see some more rope Climbing 😉
I was going to suggest the same about the Black Diamond route, would be great to see him working on it and see if he could beat his personal best. Not sure if it would make the best 1M subscribers content, but would be amazing to see at some point in the future none the less.
Yosemite climbing special for the 1mil+ subs would be cool. Timing probably will not work but it'd be spectacular nonetheless!
Great work and climbs Magnus! Thank you!
Very nice video, I enjoyed the voice over and comments. Beautiful rocks too, got me psyched
I love seeing this type of content especially during lockdown
The story of the last problem is so awesome! So glad you got it!
I can’t tell you how excited I was to see a 43 minute video! Super well done and loved it. I also should mention I love your regular climbing videos - maybe they don’t rack in the crazy views like some other videos, but the climbing community LOVES them!
We love you Magnus, thank you for putting so much effort into your videos
If you like power bouldering you should come to Monk Eindhoven once. We call it "Harken"
I loved this format. really cool to see all this older stuff too. youtube has been recommending a lot of older videos of you lately
Don't you worry about the quality, Magnus. It's awesome to see some of your sends from way ago!
so sick dude! Really appreciate your channel
I honestly loved this video. 43 minutes of watching you climb and listening to the stories behind all these boulders was fascinating!
1M subs: a bouldering/lead session with Adam Ondra and Alex megos where you then do a competition on the hangboards afterwards
I especially love the outdoor boulders, it's very entertaining to watch you do them.
Love the format, you could even expand into just personal favourites regardless of the grade and why those boulders/routes are your favourites (fun moves, great story, good company, first time experience, etc.)
So glad i found your channel. You seem like so much fun. Great work on the video and the climbing. Incredible
you can do "funniest falls," "climbing outtakes," and "behind the scenes" videos.
i think this is a great idea
I'm from NC and i just started climbing, it feels great when i finish a path, even if its a V0 or V1 lol
Such a quality vid Magnus! Thank you and well done on crushing those boulders!
Awesome video, thank you for sharing these!!! That All In All Out dyno was nuts!
I need to take breaks watching this because my hands get so sweaty... I want to try all of the boulders!!
Yeah Magnus, would be nice to see a video with the projects you havent completed yet. We surely can agree that the undone boulders are the ones which make the bouldering the most exciting
Loved that video! Seeing you trying hard is always inspiring and nice to watch, no matter if the footage was in a video before!
Way to go Bro. Your dedication and peace is heroic.
I was also thinking “baby face” when I saw Magnus from 10 years ago 😅
This must be one of the best videos you ever made.
I honestly don't know how your 1mill sub video could top this but I'm sure it will.
Loving this format seeing what you were able to achieve
This was a very interesting video, and completely genuine and honest. Tells a great story, and all the extra information and context from your commentary is the best part. The climbs may be old, but that part is new and fresh. I'd sure appreciate more of that (e.g. identifying the crux moves was interesting).
